We havent told anyone yet not even our kids ( my pre preg belly has helped plus lockdown). Hubby wanted to this weekend but i feel paranoid that we will be judged. I had my 3 children close together when i was quite young. Even though we are in a lot better position now and can afford it. Hubby is starting to get upset and says we shouldn't worry about others opnion. Xx

Needallthesleep · 10/05/2020 18:52

@sparkler07 how far along are you? What do you think people will judge? Not sure it means anything but I’m 1 of 4 and it was lovely (and still is lovely) having such a busy, big household.

sparkler07 · 10/05/2020 18:58

@Needallthesleep.
I'm 15 weeks today. I had some comments when we was told people we was thinking about it . Saying It would be daft etc. Me and hubby have been together nearly 16 yrs. We are both happy and excited its just the reaction of others that bother me xxx

Needallthesleep · 10/05/2020 19:08

Argh people are so unthinking aren’t they? When I was pregnant with my first I was so anxious because people kept telling me how much my life was going to turn upside down. It drove me nuts!

Anyway, for what it’s worth, from one of four children, it’s lovely. You’re going to love having a big family I’m sure.

BooMamaBear · 10/05/2020 19:32

Is anyone else feeling really full even when you don't eat too much? I've got a proper pregnancy belly now just seems to have got even bigger overnight having to wear the maternity clothes that I ordered about 2 weeks ago that finally arrived -18w today but so much bigger than I was at 20 weeks last time - then it was low down only but now it already starts from under my ribs and is very ball shaped rather than teardrop shaped!!! Feeling very uncomfortable!!

professorastrocat · 10/05/2020 20:22

Sorry you're made to feel like you can't tell people for fear of judgement @sparkler07, sounds like they just didn't think before speaking but is just their opinion and it's yours that counts. Tell the world how happy you are! ❤️

@BooMamaBear yes always full after tea time 🤢

Wise0wl · 10/05/2020 20:59

@BooMamaBear me! I’m having to eat really frequently but I get full really quickly. It’s so weird. Waiting for my first scan tomorrow before ordering any new clothes though!

@sparkler07 my sister is a lot younger than me, my parents joke she’s the only planned one of us! Regardless of what you do, some people will always judge.

sparkler07 · 10/05/2020 23:39

Thankyou everyone. Going to speak to hubby and decide what we are going to do etc. X

BooMamaBear · 11/05/2020 00:50

@sparkler07 -don't let what other people think bother if you and your DH are happy that's all that matters they'll come around!
Baby has been really quite today was worried and back ache has kept me up but she's just kicked me and moved now! Coz our bed is much comfier than anywhere else for my back I've been laid down since 8pm and she decides to wake up at half past midnight - happy she kicked but hope this isn't a sign of things to come!
@Wise0wl -good luck for your scan tomorrow let us know how you get on! Xx

professorastrocat · 11/05/2020 07:41

Interestingly I read that blood sugar levels at night affect the increased movement. 😊

Have a great scan today, @Wise0wl all the best!

Yes sometimes having something sweet or cold works but it's so random she just moves when she feels like it I think! Xx

Wise0wl · 11/05/2020 19:47

Thanks so much @professorastrocat 🙂

Very wriggly baby (took ages to do the scan and I was very close to wetting myself!) but all looking good! It’s beginning to feel a bit more real now.

I don't know how people used to manage without the scans 😉 and seeing baby is ok etc. My mums generation for example.

Thank you @professorastrocat!!! Totally agree, it was so surreal as I lost my symptoms a few weeks ago so other than being a bit chubbier and v tired it could have been that I’d dreamt I was pregnant!

Needallthesleep · 11/05/2020 20:51

Thank you @needallthesleep I love Autumn and Winter so I’m pleased late Nov is a good time to have a birthday!

Needallthesleep · 11/05/2020 21:35

I had a massive fail this afternoon. I know that any sugary food brings on my sickness, and that horrible taste in my mouth. But I still ended up eating a muffin, a sharing bag of m&ms, and a sharing bar of Green and Blacks.

So I’ve spent the rest of the day feeling awful and not having any energy. When will I learn?!?

Wise0wl · 11/05/2020 22:02

@needallthesleep you’re in good company. I ate half a packet of chocolate hobnobs. I just don’t seem to be able to stop eating them at the moment!

Needallthesleep · 12/05/2020 09:46

@Wise0wl it’s impressive that you stopped at the half pack of chocolate hobnobs! Those things are addictive

Hatepickinganame · 12/05/2020 09:57

Hey guys, how is everyone doing? Being back at work is taking its toll over here, im shattered. Went to bed at 8pm last night 😂 ive ordered maternity trousers today for work, i can barely do up my normal ones 😳😳 and im only 9 weeks...
