@BooMamaBear thank you for getting back to me because I know it's a reallllyy personal question. Every time I've gone to the toilet there is some there but only if I wipe so I'm guessing that's normal? Xxx

Bumblebee413 · 07/05/2020 08:22

I had two big lots of watery discharge yesterday @Hhdxx and the second one did freak me out a little. Apparently it's normal. I was worried it might be my waters but discharge is meant to smell like normal discharge or odorless, whereas amniotic fluid has a slight 'spermy' smell to it. So sorry to anyone if this is tmi, especially this early in the day!!

Hhdxx · 07/05/2020 08:54

@Bumblebee413 really? That makes me feel better. Is it normal that I've felt it come out a few times? I'm trying to speak to my midwife to ask her because I've had sharp pains in my sides too but I can't get into contact with her x

BooMamaBear · 07/05/2020 09:56

When I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid with DD the hospital said if you put a pad on and it soaks through it's your waters if not it's not coz normally you wouldn't lose a bit of fluid! Xx

Hhdxx · 07/05/2020 10:48

They've told me the doctor needs to see my to check it's ok and if not I need to go to urgent care. But the doctor can't see me and has told me I can do a swab myself from picking it up from the surgery. So I rang the midwives back to explain and they've told me I need to be referred to gynaecology so I need to ring my doctor's back and ask for a referral 😱

professorastrocat · 07/05/2020 11:06

How stressful! Hope someone sees you and puts your mind at ease and all is ok @Hhdxx 💕

Hhdxx · 07/05/2020 12:27

I've got a scan tomorrow and swabs. I feel awful because I'm sure it's nothing and I feel like I'm wasting tax payers money. But the midwife told me to ring the midwife department even if it's the smallest thing???

Needallthesleep · 07/05/2020 15:06

Definitely not wasting taxpayers money, it’s worth it for the reassurance. I am sure everything will be fine though. Wouldn’t you lose your mucus plug (urgh urgh) if your waters had actually broken? And you would have definitely noticed that?

Hhdxx · 07/05/2020 16:02

I thought that too? Although I have no idea what it looks like haha

Hatepickinganame · 07/05/2020 16:52

@Hhdxx i hope everything is ok, if it helps reassure slightly i had very watery discharge in my first pregnancy, so much that it soaked through my jeans 😳 turns out i had a seriously bad thrush infection.

I actually feel like a half normal person today. Still a little nauseous but soo much better than before. It probably wont last but enjoying the break!

BooMamaBear · 07/05/2020 21:20

Ok I know I'm being totally irrational but need to get this off my chest - I've been panicking all day coz baby usually kicks me when I'm in bed but last night I laid down for a bit before bed and nothing, stayed up quite late still nothing!
Checked this mornings again nothing I went online and it says that at 17 weeks they don't kick everyday and don't need to worry until like 23-24 weeks but still I was panicking baby had moved a couple of times but still didn't feel assured as she usually kicks too!
Any how she just kicked me twice now thankfully I need to try and chill coz I know it's still early! I think it's worse coz I'm so nervous bout my 20 w scan!! Xx

professorastrocat · 07/05/2020 21:48

Ahh glad you said at the end of that that she's kicked again tonight so you can stop worrying! It is very early though so as you say it's more of an issue later on.

OP posts:
BooMamaBear · 07/05/2020 21:59

They do like to make us panic these babies don't they! I spend t ages wanting to feel her move so I'd know she was ok or thinking their night time something wrong coz I couldn't feel anything but now I feel her move sporadically it freaks me out even more!! Xx

professorastrocat · 08/05/2020 14:05

Feeling excited and impatient today!! Still 4 whole weeks until next scan 🤨 are we on a bit of a scan pause now? I know @BooMamaBear is a week or so and @Needallthesleep same week as me? @Hatepickinganame did you get a scan date in June?

Started thinking about when I'll start my mat leave now aswell....

@Hhdxx have you been seen yet to put your mind at rest?

Hhdxx · 08/05/2020 14:20

Hi everyone. I've been at the hospital for 3 hours and the scan showed that the baby is fine and wriggling around. They don't think it's.mt waters leaking as it's stopped now. They said to keep an eye on it. They had a look and there was quite a lot of discharge so think I may have thrush but I will get my results on Monday. A bit embarrassing and I feel like I've wasted their time. Thank you for all your messages everyone xxxx

Needallthesleep · 08/05/2020 14:25

Hey!

I still get to go into hospital for my 16 week appointment tomorrow, and hopefully hear the heartbeat. Very exciting. Having said that, I’m still not feeling kicks (I don’t think) so am really nervous. I’m 16+4 today. Three and a half weeks until my 20 week scan. It’s so far away! If life was normal I think I would have booked in at least two additional private scans so actually good to save the money!!

Also, I finally feel human again, which is good.

How are the rest of you??

professorastrocat · 08/05/2020 14:50

So glad all is fine @Hhdxx despite possible thrush.

Oh that's good @Needallthesleep hope you have a lovely appointment tomorrow then and get to hear the heart beat. I'm not feeling any movements and 16w today but still early. Re feeling human Im a lot nearer than I have been but not quite there!!🤪

OP posts:
BooMamaBear · 08/05/2020 16:48

@Hhdxx -glad all is fine
@professorastrocat and @Needallthesleep -I didn't feel any kicks or movement til I was 17+1 but i think I only feel the hard kicks so today I've felt movement but no kicks as yet!! Coz it's still early I don't feel all her kicks!
I've just been sat outside chatting to the neighbours in this glorious weather they're having a girl next month (obvs sat a safe distance apart) I was eating bread and Allioli and drinking alcohol free pear coder!! Xx

Needallthesleep · 08/05/2020 16:54

That sounds glorious @BooMamaBear.

Just had a hormonal pregnant meltdown about schools for my toddler. I know I’m ridiculous but they are ridiculously oversubscribed here and I’m panicking about my two year old. My DH was lovely, but I do need to chill out!

Speaking of toddlers. Do those of you with other kids struggle with the first ones being gentle with your tummy? My two year old keeps throwing herself at me, which is lovely but when I tell her to be gentle because mummy has a baby in her tummy she tells me she also has a baby in her tummy. Argh.

professorastrocat · 08/05/2020 17:11

Oh that does sound nice @BooMamaBear ! I think I need some non alcoholic cider - is it nice?

Yes I've had my stomach sat on, poked and hit! Perhaps it's a mistake we still haven't told him but I'm not sure it would make any difference, he's a total limpet!

OP posts:
BooMamaBear · 08/05/2020 17:15

All the schools in my area are oversubscribed it's annoying coz it's an expensive area partly because of the schools all being really good so people rent get their kids into a local school then buy somewhere cheaper and as they have one child in the schools their other kids can go there too!! We live near a school so we got our first choice most of the people I spoke to did except one person who didn't get any of her 5 choices coz her nearest school wasn't one she picked!! Xx

Hatepickinganame · 08/05/2020 17:28

Yeah i have mine on 3rd june. Although judging by the size of me its either twins or they need to bring my due fate forward about 6 weeks!!!

BooMamaBear · 08/05/2020 17:52

I always start off big and squashy coz of water retention it goes down a bit after 12 weeks but I'm still not able to fit in my clothes and it's firm!
Twins would be exciting!!
Xx
