Ooh that's a good idea! Definitely let me know if they do that for you.

MummyBearBoo · 06/07/2020 12:45

Good luck @Wise0wl!

I've got to self isolate for 2 weeks as the hospital called they are going to carry out my cataract operation 2 weeks today and I've got to have a Covid test the Friday before!! Don't really go anywhere anyway just got my scan tomorrow!!
In a months time I should hopefully be able to see more than just colours thru my left eye!! Glad they're fixing it before baby is due!
Xxx

littletandme · 06/07/2020 13:12

Hello ladies, just thought I would come to find you all and let you know that hopefully I can join you again soon, I had my first post-MC period a few weeks ago and today is CD20/3dpo!

Lovely to see a lot of wiggly babies on scans, I hope you are all doing well xx

DPSawMyUsername · 06/07/2020 13:34

And so the acid reflux starts 😫

Lola871 · 06/07/2020 14:20

Hi @littletandme, hope to see you back on the pregnancy boards soon, fingers crossed for you!

Wise0wl · 06/07/2020 15:16

Hi all, anomaly scan went well but took ages (25 mins!) as baby was so wriggly and in the wrong position for virtually every measurement. The sonographer was a bit grumpy by the end so I didn’t end up asking for a video @Lola871 but I did get some pics for DH!

What was weird was that I wandered around after as I thought I was going to have my whooping cough vaccine but nobody knew much at all about what else should happen. I got the vaccine and also got my MATB1 form in the end and I was told 25wk appointments have been reinstated so I’m glad I persevered!

professorastrocat · 06/07/2020 20:04

Glad it was all well @Wise0wl seems to be very common that babies are in the wrong position for those checks! Mine got a bit grumpy too or at least less patient than at the start - I was there for over an hour though. Did you at least get a pic if not a video?

Nice to hear from you @littletandme ! Hope you're doing well 😊

@MummyBearBoo all the best for that operation!

Bumblebee413 · 06/07/2020 21:01

I don't know if it helps, but my sonographer had the personality of a pillar and all my guy did was waggle his bum a bit. The first one I had was lovely though!! I got my whooping cough done at my GPs- I think most offer it if that would work for you?

That's amazing news @MummyBearBoo, what a huge difference that will make.

Hope to see you soon @littletandme xxx

MummyBearBoo · 06/07/2020 21:19

🤞for you @littletandme hope you join us soon!!

Glad it went well @Wise0wl

My consultant is doing my scan tomorrow myself and all the staff at fetal medicine are literally all on first name terms and they all now me and my history coz I've been there for all 4 of my pregnancies and my consultant was the same one I had for the latter 3 of them but this is the first one with her to go past 13 weeks!! Xx

Wise0wl · 06/07/2020 22:04

@professorastrocat over an hour!! Makes me feel less bad about taking 25 mins!

Yep, got a few pics of baby waving (a little blurry because of the wriggles but still nice to take home to DH!)

@MummyBearBoo good luck for your scan and great news about your op!

Hatepickinganame · 07/07/2020 08:19

@littletandme ah lovely to hear from you! Fingers crossed for you.

@MummyBearBoo hope your scan goes well today.

I finally started feeling baby move yesterday. Was sitting in my office at work doing orders and got three tiny little prods in row. After the first one i literally stopped moving thinking id imagined it, after the second i pretty much held my breath waiting lol so happy and its such a relief!

professorastrocat · 07/07/2020 09:50

Aw that's lovely @Hatepickinganame those jabs will keep coming now! My baby is relatively quiet but certainly can kick when she wants to, particularly in the bladder and sometimes feels like she's trying to kick my insides out of me which is lovely haha!

All the best today @MummyBearBoo for your scan 😊

OP posts:
Hatepickinganame · 07/07/2020 10:33

@professorastrocat it was so nice to know its definitely the baby and not spend 3 days wondering if i imagined it 😂 pregnancy hormones are definitely getting me now though, baby brain is a real thing. Ive been ranting all morning about recycling not being collected, only for my neighbour to tell me its tomorrow, not today 😂😂she must think im a lunatic now!!!

professorastrocat · 07/07/2020 10:51

I rarely know what day it is now anyway 😆 my other half is the bin organiser in this house, he even puts the dates in our shared calendar 🤦‍♀️

MummyBearBoo · 07/07/2020 12:12

Thanks everyone!
@Hatepickinganame -that's lovely i love it when baby kicks and you know they're ok bit annoying at midnight til 2am. It the rest of the day I don't mind (good job really coz she usually kicks all day)!

26w scan baby is sucking her hand and wouldn't move her hands from in front of her face so they couldn't get a 3d pic -she was swallowing and wriggling but wouldn't move her hands!! Baby is growing really well gone up from 38th percentile to 45th!

Just coz of previous complications I have another scan at 31 weeks on 11th August it was supposed be week before but I'm escaping to my in-laws static caravan (has no shared facilities) in Brid for a week!! Can only see her head and hands at this point! Xx

Hi All - so I had the amniocentesis this morning - The Professor carried it out himself so I feel very much like a VIP. He also spent time with us before the procedure so that he could basically repeat what he told me about the results of Friday's scan directly for DH's benefit as he obviously wasn't there on Friday. I know for sure he didn't have to take the time do that but it was really appreciated and good for me actually to hear it again with a calmer head. The Amnio itself in all honesty wasn't that bad at all - frankly my daily fragmin injections have hurt more when I've hit a capillary by mistake. It was mainly a weird sensation of pressure. I'm a little bit sore now but nothing like I was anticipating.
We have our initial meeting with the Fetal Cardiology Team at Evelina Children's Hospital tomorrow. To start talking through care plans for the rest of the pregnancy, the birth (which is likely to be at GSTT next door) and then obviously the surgery/treatment options once baby is here. Actually feeling quite positive about it all today. Going to go treat myself to a nap before DD1 needs picking up from nursery

MummyBearBoo · 07/07/2020 14:15

Glad they took good care of you and that you're feeling more positive! It's good you didn't find the Amnio too bad I've not had Amnio but I understand it's similar to CVS which I've now 4 times-the first time I had it was five I just wasn't so good the next 3 times!! Hope the results are good when do you get them back? Xx

professorastrocat · 07/07/2020 15:40

Sounds like you're really getting looked after @Talcott2007 which is great.

Good news on the scan @MummyBearBoo

Wise0wl · 07/07/2020 23:32

Great news that they’re being so attentive @Talcott2007! And lovely scan pic @MummyBearBoo

Today has all been a bit much and have ended up in tears. I suddenly feel much more run down and tired and I suppose I thought there would be much more support when you have a baby from midwives etc. I know I’m overtired but it feels like a lot of change and a bit overwhelming! Hope you’re all doing ok.

DPSawMyUsername · 08/07/2020 20:27

Round 2 of anomaly scan completed. Started off nestled into the back, same as last time. Had to pee and dance but it worked. All is well and he's got a proper face! 😄 23 weeks tomorrow 💙

I didn't ask to record etc because they wasn't doing the full check like they did in round 1 but they did have a massive TV screen on the wall right facing you to watch everything with a sign saying no recording without permission. Absolutely fantastic is everywhere has that x

What an awesome picture, that's one to cherish! @DPSawMyUsername

I had a separate screen aswell which was great as with my first I didn't really get to see any of the 20 week scan but my oh did as he could see the screen. She was also happy to explain what she was doing and what I could see until she realised how long it was all taking then took the stern and silent approach apart from when telling me to thrust around and dance 😅 glad it's gone well anyway.

MummyBearBoo · 08/07/2020 23:20

Fab picture @DPSawMyUsername -at my Fetal med unit they have a screen close to the ceiling that I could watch while I was laid on the bed got to see 3D image but was just her hands as she was covering her face with them they showed me her little feet too!!

Next scan at 31 weeks! Just less than 5 weeks away! Xx
