Aw so you'll possibly be first of us all ! I think it's nice you'll have surprises (sex-wise) 😊 @Piglet11

Last time they were going to induce me a week before my EDD which would be around 4th October this time though my DD came 3 days before my induction date! Not sure if they plan on doing that this time I'd rather not be induced tho! Xxx

MummyBearBoo · 15/06/2020 11:49

Hey @whatsthecraic91 -not heard from you for a while I know you've got your scan on 25th how are you doin? Xx

whatsthecraic91 · 15/06/2020 13:39

@MummyBearBoo awk thanks for thinking of me! I'm 11+1 now, yes scan next Thursday I can't wait! Been feeling ok up until this weekend and I've just been feeling a bit weird, no appetite & finding it hard to sleep, thought I was past this!! Took today off work so I've been in bed and have watched 3 episodes of life and birth and cried at all the babies being born 😂

MummyBearBoo · 15/06/2020 13:53

@whatsthecraic91 -I've only just started feeling my appetite picking up over the last week or so and I'm 23 weeks -I was struggling to eat as much as I normally would in the first trimester I think it's just your stomach moving up to make room and stuff! Xx

Hhdxx · 15/06/2020 14:49

Had my 20 week scan today. All seems well. We are having a surprise but looking at the photo, I don't know if I can see testicles 😂 x

Hello little one! Lovely pic! I think you could argue either way for testicles or just bottom- scans are tricky!

The last 2 days I'm really starting to feel baby more and it's such a weird but lovely feeling. I'm 19 weeks today and chased up my scan appointment earlier as it hasn't come through yet. Really hoping that everything is ok.

We moved into our new house on the 18th March, just as everything closed, then we discovered a serious flea infestation left by the pets of the previous owners (we don't have animals). We've spent the last few months spraying, steam cleaning, bleaching, boil washing, hoovering, smoke bombing and being eaten. They are persistent little buggers. Unfortunately we've not been able to afford exteminators. Really hoping we're at the end now though. Surely there can't be many more undisrupted life cycles!! But, all that spray (which I tried to hide from) and the fact that I'm commuting to London and working in a hospital at the moment really make me feel like this poor little thing hasn't had the best growing conditions. So, I know in my heart everything will probably be ok, but I just really hope it is.

Did I mention we also found rats when we moved in?? Covid, fleas, rats and a house where everything kept falling apart/ breaking whilst 7 weeks pregnant. If we can survive that.... Grin

Bumblebee413 · 15/06/2020 17:21

The rats have gone. Sorry- for the off load. It was too much to talk about when it was all kicking off.

professorastrocat · 15/06/2020 21:31

Wowser @Bumblebee413 that's a lot to have gone through, sounds stressful with the fleas, the little buggers. I'm sure your bubs is just fine though and hope you hear about your scan ASAP

MummyBearBoo · 16/06/2020 07:38

@Hhdxx -glad all went well and you got a lovely clear pic!
@Bumblebee413 -hope the house situation is all sorted for you now and that your scan date arrives soon! Xxx

Needallthesleep · 16/06/2020 08:09

So lovely to come on and see some baby updates!

@Bumblebee413 you are hardcore dealing with all that!

I’ve been sleeping a solid nine hours a night. Anyone else sleeping forever? I feel so lazy! No idea how I would manage having to go into the office, I used to be in at 7am!

professorastrocat · 16/06/2020 19:21

I'm exhausted @Needallthesleep I still don't sleep enough even though I sleep slightly more. I would have really struggled to get up normal time and get to work. But then I don't know what has been lockdown lack of energy too.

OP posts:
Hatepickinganame · 16/06/2020 20:48

@Needallthesleep i cant sleep at all. I wake up at least twice a night to pee and im usually awake by 7am now where pre pregnancy id happily sleep in til 9 or later given half the chance!

@Bumblebee413 that sounds horrendous! We just got rid of rats in the garden, they had made a nest under a neighbours shed but were having little garden parties here and next door 😵

Wise0wl · 16/06/2020 21:53

@Needallthesleep I’m absolutely shattered but can’t lie in at all! So trying to be disciplined and go to bed early (which is pre-11pm for me). Glad not to be in the office as well!

professorastrocat · 17/06/2020 07:01

I slept awfully a few weeks ago @Hatepickinganame always up for the loo and awake in the night for a while but that's improved a bit so there's hope for you!

OP posts:
MummyBearBoo · 17/06/2020 08:56

I'm still not getting much sleep can't sleep til like 2am (partly coz I've got a little dancer in my tummy that doesn't stop moving til then) DH was laughing yesterday coz he put his hand on my tummy and said it feels like she's having a proper good dance!! Then I get interruptions from hip or back pain then DD wakes me up at 6am though she sometimes gets in bed with us then and goes vm ack to sleep for a bit! Xx

Hatepickinganame · 17/06/2020 11:07

@professorastrocat i hope youre right, nearly 15 weeks and havent slept properly since around 7 weeks 😫😫

Needallthesleep · 18/06/2020 21:36

Random question as I know there are some of you who have lost weight prior to getting pregnant.

In the past 10 years I’ve been everything from a size 8 to a size 16. Before I got pregnant I was a size 12 and not particularly happy about it. Being pregnant I feel like I don’t know whether I am gaining too much weight or not. I didn’t weigh myself at the beginning because I was upset at how I looked, plus the amount of rubbish I ate because I was so sick.

Does everyone just park any thoughts of weight when they are pregnant? I know I’m not exercising nearly as much as I did in my last pregnancy, but it’s so hard at the moment with my gym closed. Ironically I have a PT qualification and some equipment, but struggling to motivate myself.

Argh not being very eloquent but I feel like a whale and I don’t like it!

professorastrocat · 19/06/2020 09:26

Yeah I'm kinda the same @Needallthesleep I probably could have done with losing some weight or at least being more healthy first and now feel concerned as I still don't have chance to exercise. That's more for baby's benefit that I'm concerned though. I know we're done after this child so I just think I'll make more effort when I'm able to in the future and hope for the best.
I had a bit of that split stomach thing that i wanted to try and work on before having another too....sigh...it'll all be fine, our bodies are doing amazing things. Xx

Morning Ladies, hope everybody is doing ok. Had a scan through to see peoples gender news and lovely scans.

Took a bit of time away from quite a bit of social while DP went back to work. Quiet house, quiet life, just my pint glasses of cordial and Netflix.
But hit the 20 week mark yesterday and my cousin managed to have her baby yesterday so I just had to join back in. 1 day overdue and weighed 5lb 9oz 😍

MummyBearBoo · 19/06/2020 13:18

Is 5lbs quite a lot to have put on by 23+5? Xx

MummyBearBoo · 19/06/2020 13:36

I'm still normal range BMI but baby Center says you should only put on 1lb a week at most aster week 20 so should I have only put on 3lb? But I dunno how much you would put on from 1st trimester due to extra blood flow, uterus muscle, placenta, amniotic fluid and baby?? Xxx

Wise0wl · 22/06/2020 22:43

@MummyBearBoo I have no idea how much weight we should/shouldn’t be putting on but am also conscious that I used to be really active (12,000 steps a day plus exercise) and I can’t do any of that because of coronavirus, so I’m doing my best not to worry about it and figured I’m going to be taking baby on lots of walks when he arrives to get myself fitter hopefully after the pandemic has passed (or the worst of it). Hope you’re doing ok!

MummyBearBoo · 23/06/2020 00:04

I'm worried that I won't be able to go back to the gym before or after baby arrives til she starts pre-school at 2.5 I don't have family nearby and DH works long hours!!
I used walk half an hour a day doing the school run then twice a week I'd do an hour and a half at the gym then on a Thursday I'd walk (pushing a Pram uphill) 45 mins to take DD to ballet and Tap class then 40 mins downhill back with a pram snd the shopping!! All this has stopped!
But I am eternally grateful to be 24 weeks pregnant with a little girl would rather have her and be fat than not and be fit!! Xx
