Marshmallow1102 · 03/05/2020 13:18

Hello all, sorry I've been quiet recently! Started spotting yesterday but wasn't too worried because it was just brown, but it has just turned red and getting some small clots so I am obviously massively panicking and fearing the worst!
I've rang the EPU but they aren't open today, a nurse will ring me back tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything is somehow OK!

DontStandSoClose · 03/05/2020 13:21

@GeeHO98 I’m glad you are OK. Yes, apparently from what I’ve read the general consensus is that people fall quite quickly after (assuming there weren’t issues getting pregnant the first time). Stay positive, hopefully we’ll both be back with good news soon :). I’ve always been quite restrained before hitting the 12 week plus mark so in some ways it helps to deal with the disappointment, I think that’s the main thing I feel now.

I’ll also quietly lurk from time to time to see how everyone else is getting on :) x

DontStandSoClose · 03/05/2020 13:28

@Marshmallow1102 hope you are ok, don’t panic just yet. Although I didn’t have a positive outcome after similar a couple of days ago, having spent 2 days researching it doesn’t necessarily mean the worse. There are a couple of things that can cause you to bleed (quite heavily and bright red blood) and it doesn’t mean you are miscarrying so don’t assume the worst just yet. I totally understand the horrible being in limbo feeling, sending positive thoughts x

Marshmallow1102 · 03/05/2020 13:41

Thank you @DontStandSoClose ! Really appreciate it! I'm really sorry for everything you are going through, fingers crossed that you get lucky with your rainbow baby really soon!! Keep us updated!! x

GeeHO98 · 03/05/2020 14:14

@Marshmallow1102 if your really worried I'd recommend going to hospital a&e/emergency department I was reluctant to go at first and was told to stay home and call back if it got worse by a midwife but went to a&e 2 days later despite what the midwife said & was brought up to the early pregnancy ward where they examined me straight away. They will see you if you go, wishing you luck & hope everything is okay x

Some bleeding is normal in early pregnancy but if it gets heavier I'd definitely go get checked out xx

Marshmallow1102 · 03/05/2020 15:01

Thanks @GeeHO98, I've not got any pain right now and the bleeding isn't heavy but if anything gets worse then I will go to A&E

Nic2908 · 03/05/2020 15:33

@Marshmallow1102 sending you lots of hugs, positive thought everything will be ok

@DontStandSoClose @GeeHO98. We will all be here waiting for you and your rainbow babies.

Smiling89 · 03/05/2020 16:37

Hello everyone,

Was just wondering if anyone can help me...

I haven't been to the doctors in years before faking pregnant, other than smears and pill checks etc, so never had a prescription.

My midwife sent an email to my gp asking for a prescription of folic acid at a higher dosage than normal, and due to Covid, I don't have a paper copy. They left a message saying it was sent to the chemist.

Does this mean I can go to any chemist and they'll have the details on their systems or a specific chemist (which I haven't assigned so no idea which it would be?)? Sorry, complete newbie as to how over the phone/ online prescriptions work.... I feel a bit stupid not knowing, at the same time happy I haven't had the need for prescriptions in the past!

Smiling89 · 03/05/2020 16:37

*getting pregnant

Confused no idea where autocorrect got faking

SettyBuarez · 03/05/2020 16:47

@Smiling89 I'd check with the pharmacy attached to the GP surgery first as it's most likely to have gone there if that's who it was referred through.

Marshmallow1102 · 03/05/2020 16:48

Hi @Smiling89, it will be a specific chemists. My doctor sends mine to the chemists closest to my home, they should have told you which chemist they sent it to. If you look up the chemist closest to your home and give them a call they will be able to tell you if they have received your prescription. Alternatively just call your doctor and ask them to confirm which chemists they sent it to.

Rnic1x · 03/05/2020 16:49

Today has been another write off, felt sick all day, the only thing I can stomach is toast and raw red pepper 🙈 spent the whole day on the sofa watching TV and films hopefully tomorrow is a better day... How's everyone feeling? X

ElectricTonight · 03/05/2020 17:39

@Rnic1x evening, I haven't felt sick today but I am exhausted, I feel like the day has been dragging so bad, had some pink/brown discharge this afternoon so finally going to relax for the rest of the evening and hope for a good nights sleep x

Rnic1x · 03/05/2020 17:57

@ElectricTonight ohh hopefully you get a good night sleep, harder than it sounds with me although I'm knackered I'm struggling to sleep 🙈 z

Katbaby · 03/05/2020 18:12

Evening girls. Today has been a write off for me too, I've had a barrage of symptoms hit me like a 10 tonne truck. Nips are sore exhausted to the point of getting breathless brushing my hair and felt like a hungover style sick feeling all day, struggling to eat or do anything.

Got a pizza in the oven now hopefully I can have a slice. I know I'll feel better if I eat its just the idea of eating 🤢🤢🤢

Got a zoom pub quiz with our friends tonight so a) need to be full of beans and energy 😩 and b) pretending to drink alcohol.

Oh the joys! Sorry to hear some of you guys have been suffering too!

Rnic1x · 03/05/2020 18:38

@katbaby absolutely with you today 😷 I've just managed a sausage sandwich which I did enjoy but everytime I think of it now I Bork 🙈 trying to force myself to eat cause I know baby will need it but I'd happily not eat anything atm x

Katbaby · 03/05/2020 18:45

@Rnic1x mines like a weird hungry nausea. The thought of food is horrid but I'm starving as well. Managed a couple of slices of pizza and a chicken goujon.
Soooo healthy 🤪

I just think unhealthy food is better than no food! I do seem to have a little bit more energy now though so hopefully get through this quiz thing haha

shelly10111 · 03/05/2020 19:04

Hi ladies my date is coming up 6th jan hope I can jump on board ... this is my third and it's knocking me sideways, never realised I could get food aversions and morning sickness so so early at just under five weeks! Crazy!

Toxalina · 03/05/2020 19:13

Hiya i wondered if i could join you ladies, im due December with my 4th but weirdly i dont have any symptoms apart from slightly sore boobs. Anyone else feeling fine and worried?

Snapper81 · 03/05/2020 19:30

Hi to the newcomers :-)
I'm also feeling awful today. Been lying down all day and I'm so grateful to hubby for pretty much doing solo parenting to our 2 year old.
Those that said it's like a hangover are spot on. I'm pretty much just eating beige food.

Katbaby · 03/05/2020 22:04

Well after I ate I felt so much better, joined our friends on zoom for pub quiz and actually felt myself again! Drinking my fizzy water out a gin glass😁 no one suspects.

Fingers crossed I feel okay tomorrow. First day of lockdown without hubby at home. Didn't have any energy to leave the house today so hoping to get a good walk tomorrow and make a carrot cake!

Hope everyone else is feeling better tomorrow x
