Are any of you guys wondering how people will react to you getting pregnant during the crisis? It feels so strange to have so many unknowns - DH and I would definitely like to move house as we live in a two bed flat and if there was no crisis we would probably already be putting ours on the market. I’m a little worried I guess that people might say it’s irresponsible when DH and I could easily wait a year or two age-wise and there’s so much uncertainty about jobs, healthcare etc (even though we’re both high earners with lots of savings, you never know what’s round the corner...).

Think I might book my early scan for the weekend of 16 May and tell my mum straight after!

@Elmlee I can't cope with the smell or sight of mince atm, my dp bought some yesterday and I had to put it straight in freezer I don't even want it in my fridge 😷 the smell of a lot of things I normally love is making me feel sick. Hope you feel better soon. My massive walk today's tired me out, I'm getting a bath and an early night.

@notalwaysalondoner I'm not bothered what people think, I know my friends and family will be so happy that's all that matters, if people think anything horrible they will know to keep it to themselves or I'll go mad! Xx

Then official scan at hospital is due June 12th.

Shown husband the local private scan place, he seemed fairly keen to book one. Might try and wait until like 7/8 weeks. Do you ring and book in advance?

Honestly I ran upstairs and gagged like 4 times 🤢 tea is making me feel rough as well. Very odd.

Any of you ladies got a V pillow? Been looking on amazon... my vitamins and pregnancy journal arrived today!

Is everyone booking early scans? I've got my 12 week one in just under 5 week but that seems ages away 😩

Think it's £50 near me for an early scan. And then extra for pictures.

And is there anyone else still going out to work or is everyone working from home/furloughed

@ew1990 I am very much still going to work. 12 hour shifts on my feed coordinating a ward. I wish i could work from home! I do count my blessings though as it must be incredibly hard to be furloughed or laid off completely.

@Natt99 that scan pic is precious. Congratulations. It must have been a huge relief for you both.

@nic2908. Same. Well not coordinating a ward but working on a busy one. I know what you mean. I feel incredibly lucky to have the job security but could do with a rest 😂

@Katbaby I'm not sure now how it works with dates, maybe it measures slightly smaller than 6+4. I did clear blue ovulation stick and definitely ovulated 31/03 or 01/04. AF was due 14/04 and got BFP on 15/04, maybe it implanted late. Guess I will never know 🤔
@notalwaysalondoner I used to love the sims, remember rosebud!! I don't think anyone will be negative about it, I think people will find it funny more than anything. IMO It's no different to someone getting treatment for something self inflicted like smoking, no one would be saying they're putting pressure on the NHS right now...hopefully our children will be great contributors to society.

@notalwaysalondoner I think you'll always have one outsider or random who will judge. But if it wasn't the crisis then it'd be something else (too young, too old, live in the wrong location, wrong diet etc.) but I think all the people that matter, your friends and family, will be thrilled for you.

Hoping today will be quite a productive day. Wanting to declutter a few things and have a big house clean, maybe some work emails and maybe some writing.

@ElectricTonight yes! No nausea but just this cloudy woolly head feeling and a headache. It's feels like I've had one glass too much the night before, not a full blown hangover but definitely not fresh as a daisy. Just without the actual alcohol!

@december2020 That's the feeling haha! I've been setting little daily tasks to do too, I would love a day where I didn't have to move though, as soon as I get up and have a sip of water to unfog my head I feel sick.

Oh gosh! @ElectricTonight I know what you mean! We've all been asked to reduce our working capacity by 10% so I'm using my "extra days off" this month at the end of May with the bank holiday and really looking forward to a proper 5 days off. I've got this weird "nesting" thing kick in where I want to declutter everything!! Also, when does the pregnancy glow kick in? I could use that 😂

@december2020 oh I bet your days off can't come quick enough! Hahaha the pregnancy glow my idea of the glow right now is smothering myself in fake tan! Just doing that makes me feel better 😂x

I'm with you on the hangover part I feel rough every morning heads heavy and generally fell meh!
Dp keeps telling me to buy things he is such a bad influence 😂 apart from the vest and booties I haven't yet though. My basket in a few places is pretty full though 🙈
Don't know if I'm hungry or sick today... Time will tell.

TMI WARNING Well you girls who are constipated, I feel for you but I seem to be the absolute opposite been up half the night with my belly😭😭😭

I'm the same with that off slightly hungover feeling. Jordans made me a gorgeous super food smoothie this morning and it's giving me life

I have one sore boob and one not sore boob? So weird.

I still haven't bought anything but already been looking online and decided which cot and chest of drawers set I want for the nursery haha. Also want an electronic baby bouncer 🤣 I need to save up I have expensive taste 🤣

I know me too I've got all that ready to order, dp said I'm spending too much but I don't care 🙈 first baby I'll spend what I want. Have you seen the 4Moms mamaRoo Rocker? I have one ready to order they look brill x

@Rnic1x that's literally the bouncer I'm on about! We are going to get that one too! My mum thinks I'm mad spending that on a baby bouncer but if it works I think it will be worth it.

I said to her 'you spent 250 on one weeks lockdown food shop so I can spend it on a bouncer 🤣'

@katbaby yeah exactly why not.
Luckily we have a load of savings atm cause we can't go on holidays this year so it's worked out well. It's your first baby so might as well spoil them ❤️

Last night and this morning I've had a weird stab sharp pain in one boob, can't actually tell the exact location of pain though lol!

I haven't got anything for baby yet I still don't think it's sunk in properly! Oh I'd defo go all out especially if it's your first as is such an exciting time and why not spoil them!

I'm such a saddo I'm literally jumping with joy as I've finally got a delivery slot for a decent food shop, just before checkout I'd added a tenners worth of junk just to satisfy my midnight hunger cravings 😂

@GeeHO98 I’m so sorry, I’ve checked back to see if you posted any updates. It really sucks! I hope you are ok? I was pretty upset about it on Friday when I realised there was no way things were going to continue, it didn’t help I felt pretty ill as I lost that much blood quite quickly.

I’ve got my head around it now and I’m now just trying to work out when I might be fertile again and we’ll try again in a week or so. I’m hopeful we can manage to get pregnant again quite quickly, Dr google seems to say the chances are high in the few months after if you were fertile in the first place, so fingers crossed! Are you taking a break or trying again right away?

I’m a bit sad leaving this thread, you all seemed like a lovely bunch! I wish you all best of luck and hope everything goes smoothly for you all, the scan pics are looking great :) xx
