Hi!
Just got my BFP this weekend.
I got my first faint positive Friday morning with an frer, and today it's much darker (11dpo)!

Leading up to my bfp, I've had icky feeling, tiredness, dizzy spells, headaches, cramps.
Not feeling as icky as with my last pregnancy yet though!
Provisional due date of 7th January using the NHS calculator.

Come and join once you've got your bfp for January 2021, for a few pregnancy pals!

@Mumof4andahalf Congratulations!

Ugh, I am so sick of feeling dizzy. I feel dizzy sitting down, getting up from sitting down, and especially when getting up in the morning. I've staggered two times now in the morning.

@upnorthmam
@milkshake54
@coalcraft

Thank you very much for responses (and thanks to anyone else incase I missed a response)

Will be taking another digi tomoro with 1st morning urine! So hopefully I'll have a clearer answer. Called midwife today and my booking in appt is 31st May over the phone and they also might have me in for an early scan due to a blood issue I have.

peach111 · 18/05/2020 20:42

@BabyG123 Awwww that is lovely news! I very much would love that to happen to her I told my mum today and told her I’m over thinking so much stuff like how I would tell her when I get to that point and she gave me some good advice from when she was TTC after she had me and she said it will hurt her but she said the same send her a little message, she said when she was struggling it felt like everyone but her was getting pregnant and she was happy for them but it really hurt her feelings so I would be so sensitive about it.

I’m thinking of booking an early scan privately, what do people think would you recommend to put your mind at ease/check everything looks ok?

Again congrats to everyone on here! Sorry I’m abit slow at replying new to this siteSmile

BabyG123 · 18/05/2020 20:51

@Pol96 no I haven't told work. Won't be until 12 weeks as no need with the guidance.

@peach111 I was so worried but she was really happy for me. Must be so hard if you're struggling.

The only reason I'm considering a private scan is if I can bring DH with me as he can't go to the nhs I'd like him to see the first one.

Skyla01 · 18/05/2020 21:11

Hello can I join you? Got my BFP last week after 14months ttc! Just over 5wks now. Been feeling sick on and off but nothing too bad yet. Bit nervous but also excited- this is my 1st pregnancy. Only told my best friend so far. Also had dilemma of whether to tell work but haven't yet.

whatsthecraic91 · 18/05/2020 21:48

@Skyla01 hey I recognise your name! Congratulations! I told my work last week when I was 6 weeks as I was really sick and had to leave in the middle of the day & couldn't really be bothered hiding it 😆

Skyla01 · 18/05/2020 22:09

@whatsthecraic91 yes you too! Were you trying long? I was on & off the conception boards for quite a while. Hard to believe I finally got a bfp! Ah yes i can see why it's easier to fess up for you, then your colleagues will understand. Have you been quite sick?

whatsthecraic91 · 18/05/2020 22:15

@Skyla01 yes 16 long cycles! I can't believe it's finally happened either it's so surreal! I have only told my boss and the other girl in my office so won't be telling the rest until 12 weeks! I have had bad days and good days, not so much being sick just feeling it 😥 how are you keeping? When are you due? I'm due 2nd Jan x

Pol96 · 19/05/2020 05:10

I know I should stop testing but I've finally done a digi and it's exactly where I thought it should be! And there's progression on the frers Grin so glad I did them, feel a bit better now.

KaylG · 19/05/2020 07:36

Morning all! I just got my BFP, nervous as it’s early, due end of Jan so hoping it all goes well!

Skyla01 · 19/05/2020 08:11

@whatsthecraic91 16 cycles... that's amazing! It was such a relief to finally get to this point. I was about to phone gp for fertility tests but instead I got to phone for the midwife! Ooh June 2nd- that's quite close to Xmas & NYE! I'm due on 19th. I'm a bit nauseous on and off but not bad so far.

@Pol96 those tests all look good- time to stop poas and believe you are pregnant! Smile

BabyDust13 · 19/05/2020 08:21

@KaylG congratulations

@Pol96 a digital def makes it feel more real until the battery dies 😂

mummasoph · 19/05/2020 08:48

Hi girls, hope you don't mind me joining. I got my BFP yesterday morning, after having some pink dc and some spotting and cramps for the last kind of 10 days. I have a daughter that is about to turn 7 months old so it's kind of crazy thinking I'm gonna have 2 under 2. A little bit overwhelming but such an exciting time. Anyone else have such a small gap between their babies? I'm 4 weeks today and EDD is 26/01/2021 😊 xx

Hanabanana17 · 19/05/2020 09:17

@mummasoph congratulations! I'm on my first so can't share the 2 under 2 thing although I have many friends who have! I hear its tough to start but nice that they're close in age. Due to my age, I think if we are lucky enough to be blessed this time round with our rainbow baby we'd perhaps start trying again soon after! X

LadieBirdie · 19/05/2020 09:39

Hey ladies

Is anyone experiencing killer headaches? I'm getting them late evening right though to lunch time the following day. When I put my feet on the floor feels like my eye ball is being squished. It happens for the same length of time I'm queasy (big thanks to the lady who suggested travel bands, they are really helping!) I've ordered 4head online but haven't taken any painkillers, are any safe? Does anyone know what's causing and if I can do anything to prevent them diet wise? I'm really sleep deprived and feeling a it sorry for myself today :(. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow. X

mummasoph · 19/05/2020 09:47

@Hanabanana17 aww congratulations on your rainbow baby, my daughter was our rainbow baby and it makes it so much more special I'm hoping this pregnancy is successful. Yeah I have heard the same, me and my sister are 13 months apart and it's been so nice growing up so close and we actually had our baby girls 8 weeks apart. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy 💜 xx

Pol96 · 19/05/2020 09:51

@Skyla01 @BabyDust13 yep! Now I've seen it's getting darker and I've seen it in writing I can believe it! Will try my best to not poas again!

Welcome everyone and congratulations!

Quail15 · 19/05/2020 09:59

Hi everyone I got my bfp yesterday. I'm a bit weary though and I'm trying not to get to excited.

I have one DD who took 4 years of fertility treatment to get here. She is now 18months and this is my second surprise bfp in the last 3 months ( I haven't ever had a bfp before that's wasn't through Ivf). My 1st bfp in march sadly ended in MMC at 7 weeks. I know I have issues with egg quality so I'm already preparing myself for another MC but 🤞 for a healthy, sticky embryo X x

CoalCraft · 19/05/2020 10:56

Good morning everyone!

So I had my scan today. Embryo with heartbeat seen, and in the right place, so relieved! It's only 5mm though, so measuring six weeks rather than seven as I'd thought. Am trying to hope that just means I got my dates wrong or ovulated late.

Am still a bit anxious as still spotting/bleeding. Dr wasn't very helpful if I'm honest, just shrugged and said "it happens, we don't know why" essentially. I'd have liked maybe an examination of my cervix/vagina to church of of that was the source of the blood.

So just got to wait how til I can make a booking in appointment, basically, unless anything new crops up.

Skyla01 · 19/05/2020 11:06

@mummasoph aww congrats! That sounds lovely to have close siblings. This is my first so all new and exciting.

@Quail15 congratulations on conceiving naturally!! Although I understand the anxiety too. Hope everything goes well for you.

@CoalCraft how lovely to see a heartbeat! Must be nerve wracking if you are still bleeding a bit. I hope it stops soon and everything is still looking good at 12wks.

peach111 · 19/05/2020 11:33

@skyla01 our due dates are close I’m due 18th Smile

I’m a little tea belly usually but have been cutting it down to one cup a day, going to buy decaf so I can have my daily brews 😂

Hanabanana17 · 19/05/2020 11:58

@CoalCraft same here! Was reassured to see heartbeat yesterday albeit incredibly early. Had a day of positivity and today I feel a bit down as had more light bleeding :( they said it could be implantation but that's so late and hasn't stopped. Would have liked the same as you mentioned, just a check to see where the bleeding was coming from but now it's a wait until 10-12 weeks which seems forever!!

@ladiebirdie yes I had awful headaches and lasting evening to day (which is so hard when I'm supposed to be working at a computer screen). Today for the first time I felt super queasy on a video call. Had to end it early pretending there were problems with the line because I thought I was gonna be sick Confused that's going to be interesting over the next few weeks! Husband thinks it's hilarious as I keep losing my balance 😒

Carabu1 · 19/05/2020 12:21

Welcome newbies!
@CoalCraft - great news about the scan! I had one at what I thought was 6.5 weeks it was only 4mm, so more like 6, but they didn’t seem worried.

I’m having a rubbish day today :(. I have a private scan booked on Friday (should be 8 weeks, but after measuring small last time who knows). But even so I just feel like time is standing still, I can’t stop panicking the hb will have gone/ it won’t have grown, to the point I really can’t concentrate on anything else. Doesn’t help that a load of colleagues all went public in last few days and I just feel so jealous of their lovely 12 weeks safety while I’m stuck in what feels like never ending danger zone. Someone snap me out of it?!

peach111 · 19/05/2020 12:27

booked a scan for 10 weeks today I felt like mixed feelings as didn’t wanna jinx it but dates are filling up maybe due to the fact you can’t go to the nhs ones with a partner, I’ll be 9 weeks 6 days and it’s Father’s Day which will be cute for my partner and my dad to see a little picture! It’s so hard not to get excited 😁

peach111 · 19/05/2020 12:30

@Carabu1 I completely understand where your coming from I keep ringing from excitement to pure anxiety over what if something goes round it’s so normal and my doctor said try not to let the worry ruin the experience but then she also said she completely understands as she was worried sick with her first baby over every little cramp or feeling,

I completely get it though
