@anon5555

I was on promethazine. But that didn't work for me. I have HG though so I was tried on a few drugs. I am now on Ondansetron, which has helped massively. But doctor did also say to me that there's a small risk of baby being born with a cleft lip.

TangBloodyFastic · 24/04/2020 09:33

So very sorry @Sakura54 Sad

TangBloodyFastic · 24/04/2020 09:35

The nerves have gone up a couple of notches about my scan next week. Quite a few mmc on here.

why is it you can't help thinking the worst Sad

HarrietM87 · 24/04/2020 09:45

Wow I’ve missed loads! @Sakura54 I’m so so sorry to hear this Flowers

I had my private scan and harmony test yesterday. Measuring 3 days ahead still at 11+3. I know exactly when I conceived (at least, it could have been later than I think but it’s not possible that it was earlier) as I had a trigger shot to induce ovulation, so I know I can’t be ahead of dates really.

The NHS will use the due date from your 12 week scan and it’s not an issue at all unless you’re overdue according to their dates. With my son I measured 4 days ahead (same scenario so I knew I was right) and they started pushing me for an induction when I was 10 days over, except I knew I was really only 6 days over. I didn’t want to be induced so it was quite stressful! In the end I held out for 2 more days so was 40+12 by their dates, 40+8 by mine, and I had a great induction so it was ok.

Hi everyone, hope I can jump on! Im currently 11 weeks with my rainbow baby after 3 early miscarriages, so Im obviously very nervous every day. However Ive never gotton this far before, and honestly believe its due to being on cyclogest progesterone pessaries which helps buukd placenta if mum isnt producing enough of the hormone.
I have my 2nd scan on Tuesday, I did have a reassurance one at 5 weeks 5 days when baby was just a tiny smudge, but a heartbeat was seen. I heard heartbeat as well as I bought a home doppler (due to the pandemic cancelling my fortnightly scans).
Im so nervous about the scan though incase something is wrong with baby. They did find a 4cm cyst on my left ovary at the first scan, but she said that sometimes happens and is probably the side I ovulated from and should go away eventually. But she said if it grows past 6cm, I may need surgery on it?! So Im scared about that too.
Just a ball of nerves 😖

Clove20 · 24/04/2020 09:58

Oh I didn't start reading messages from the beginning

I'm so sorry @Sakura54

burntpinky · 24/04/2020 10:29

Good luck to all having scans today!

Still feeling sick here. It's driving me mad. About to run out of medication too but really don't want to go to the doctors again.

We are having a bit of a nightmare tbh. My DC is going through what appears to be an 18 month sleep regression and is refusing his naps and then at night, when previously he'd go down like a dream at 7 most nights, he is refusing, screaming and crying uncontrollably but doesn't seem to want to be comforted (just wants to play and mess about) and isn't going down until 1030/11pm. As we both have to log 7 hours work from home a day also, it is killing us. On top of all the worry re awaiting my NIPT results, scan next weds, feeling sick all the time and general pregnancy hormone and feeling rubbish and bloody lockdown. I just feel like there's no hope at the moment!

BuffaloCauliflower · 24/04/2020 10:34

@HarrietM87 I known my dates are right too. The sonographer said to me that measuring a week either way of your dates is fine and normal, doesn’t mean your dates are wrong just that baby is either growing a big bigger or smaller. It’s only if it’s more than a week either way they’d question the dates or the health of the baby.

MoreGinPlease2020 · 24/04/2020 10:35

Good scan for me today, baby was very cooperative with staying relatively still for the measurements and we got some lovely clear pictures. My due date has been moved forward 3 days so scarily I'm now 12+5 already 😬

Good luck to everyone else with scans today.

HarrietM87 · 24/04/2020 10:37

@BuffaloCauliflower that’s fine and true but when you have your NHS scan they will use the due date based on that scan as your “official due date” whether that’s accurate according to your dates or not, and as I said can end up influencing decisions that are made at the end of your pregnancy. Nothing that can be done about it though!

BuffaloCauliflower · 24/04/2020 10:47

@HarrietM87 yes of course, fair enough. My new attitude is ‘well I’ve got this far so everything will be exactly fine from now on!’ 😂

BuffaloCauliflower · 24/04/2020 10:47

Great news @MoreGinPlease2020 Smile

MoreGinPlease2020 · 24/04/2020 10:53

I know I need to wait for the test results to come through, but a NT measurement is 2.9mm is still normal isn't it? I need to learn to stay off Google. The sonographer didn't say much but said everything looked fine, not sure why I'm stressing.

anon5555 · 24/04/2020 11:01

@Clove20 @Fredsgirl19 thank you for the info. I'm going to take one around 12pm today and see how I go because it makes me so tired I didn't want to take it in the mornings, but maybe tomorrow I will be left with no choice but to take earlier. I hope your symptoms improve soon.

@Natopp very exciting! I'll be 12 weeks by my calculations on the scan day. I did have an 8 week private scan booked but scanned it because it fell during lockdown and didn't want to go unnecessarily. Look forward to it!

HarrietM87 · 24/04/2020 11:08

Yes @BuffaloCauliflower it’s not a problem at all, it’s just something to be aware of. When you reach 40 weeks suddenly every day becomes important!

When I was overdue with my son I was massively hormonal and stressed and went a bit mad. I had a follicle scan from my private doctor that showed the egg that would become my son still there in my ovary on a date 2 days later than when the NHS said I had conceived, begging them to believe me that my date was right and theirs was wrong and they basically just ignored me and laughed 🤣. This one is measuring 3 days ahead too so I obviously just make bigger/faster growing babies in the early stages. Hoping I don’t go way overdue again 🤞🏻

Hancock2020 · 24/04/2020 11:08

I may go into lurking in the background for a while, I've woken up convinced the baby has gone, I feel too normal to still be pregnant. I still haven't had my date for my scan yet but I just feel like it's not alive any more.
Hopefully I will reappear at some point 🤷‍♀️😔

BuffaloCauliflower · 24/04/2020 11:12

Sorry you’re feeling that way @Hancock2020. I made a whole thread about having minimal pregnancy symptoms and had so many responses from women who’d felt almost nothing and had healthy babies, maybe give my name a search and have a read? I’m sure everything will be fine x

TangBloodyFastic · 24/04/2020 11:40

@Hancock2020 I'm feeling the exact same today.

@BuffaloCauliflower did you symptoms Come back?

BuffaloCauliflower · 24/04/2020 11:46

@TangBloodyFastic I’ve had a fairly easy time tbh. Felt really hungover in the afternoons and had sore boobs from week 4.5-7, then I’ve had some food aversions (probably most standout symptom of the last few weeks) and odd pockets of nausea after eating and some tiredness, but generally I’m ok. No sickness at all. Hungover feeling and boob soreness hasn’t come back. So the general direction of symptoms has been a downwards curve.

I might be feeling worse if I was still at work and having to do my usual bus-train-tube trek into London every day, I’m not expending much energy at the moment, but I say my general experience of pregnancy has been on the easy side. My DM had easy pregnancies with no sickness either.

BuffaloCauliflower · 24/04/2020 11:48

Odd pockets of an hour here and there throughout the day where I feel sick and/or tired. Yesterday was a bit more than the day before. But if I was graph plotting it would definitely be a downward trend

BuffaloCauliflower · 24/04/2020 11:51

I actually feel a bit sick and tired now so wondering if I’ve just completely made everything above up 😂 being in the house all day does throw you

Fouryearslater · 24/04/2020 11:52

I’ve been trying to wean off the Ondansetron and haven’t had one this morning but I feel so sick. Going to have to suck up the constipation and continue with it, I think. Sick note runs out today so back to work on Monday 😕

Addler · 24/04/2020 11:53

@BuffaloCauliflower you sound very similar to me, I felt a lot worse in the first couple of weeks and the last few I've just been nauseous after eating or in the car, and more tired than usual. I wonder if we'll both have boys if the old wives tale is true!

Crumpettes · 24/04/2020 11:58

Hi everyone. I’ve been lurking on this thread since pretty much day one! Scared to post incase I jinx anything as my last two pregnancies ended in MMCs at 20 and 12 weeks. I had joined birth month groups for both of those pregnancies so felt like I was jinxing things if I joined this one too early.

Had my 12 week scan today and all looking lovely. EDD November 2nd. Obviously as I’ve had a later loss I’m still not 100% confident, but I’m under treatment of a miscarriage clinic and am taking progesterone and aspirin for this pregnancy so I have to think positive. I also have a 3 year old, so I know that I CAN make a baby.

TangBloodyFastic · 24/04/2020 12:03

Thanks @BuffaloCauliflower it's so easy to convince yourself there's something awry isn't it?
I don't actually feel nauseous today which is unusual. I have headache and boobs hurt if I press them which has been the same throughout.
I've been totally at ease up to now and suddenly it's like this completely different mindset has taken over Confused
