@BuffaloCauliflower it’s such a long wait! I’m on Tuesday. Hopefully it will feel like things are finally happening for us. Scan is on the 18th so that will come around really quickly once I’m booked in.

@MrsR87 that’s really helpful. Thank you!

HarrietM87 · 29/04/2020 10:27

I just got my harmony results back - low risk for everything (phew!) and we found out it’s a girl. I was sure it would be as my pregnancy has been so different from my son’s, but good to have it confirmed! I think it will make it easier to tell him about it.

AnxiousLady1 · 29/04/2020 10:29

@Harrietm87 That's great news on the Harmony results! Out of curiosity, what in this pregnancy is different from the last? I'm also playing the game of trying to work out what sex the baby might be 😀

Talcott2007 · 29/04/2020 10:30

So had my scan yesterday and everything is looking good - I was at the hospital hours as baby was very wiggly and basically uncooperative so they keep getting me to go away and come back so they could get all the measurements! Measuring exactly right for my LMP dates so 13w today and EDD is 4th Nov

@AnxiousLady1 I had literally zero symptoms with my son - no sore boobs, no sickness, my skin was good, I had lots of energy.

This one I’ve had awful nausea since 4 weeks, really sore boobs, exhausted, terrible skin including on my chest and back which I’ve never had in my life before! It literally couldn’t be more different. My son is only just 2 so it’s not like loads of time has passed between pregnancies either.

AnxiousLady1 · 29/04/2020 10:53

@HarrietM87 Interesting! I don't really have a point of comparison, but have had most of the symptoms you have described for this pregnancy. Including the skin issues 🙈

MrsR87 · 29/04/2020 10:56

@HarrietM87

Tell me about it, I hardly ever get spots usually but my skin is terrible at the moment!

excitednerves · 29/04/2020 11:03

Oh so interesting @HarrietM87 somehow I think I’m having a girl this time but had no major symptoms with either pregnancy and my first is a boy.

I’ve always imagined having two boys but somethings got in my head that this ones a girl. Need to get past the 12 week scan first before worrying about the gender though!

Natopp · 29/04/2020 11:16

Is anyone showing a hardish bump? Not like bloating, which for me is squishy and soft. My lower area is hard, I'll be 12 wks tomorrow

Omg. My skin has been awful too!

AnxiousLady1 · 29/04/2020 11:17

@Natopp the skin bit is annoying! I keep having to do Zoom calls and put make up on. I haven't told work about the pregnancy yet.

Natopp · 29/04/2020 11:21

@AnxiousLady1 my skin has been pretty good since August last year when I got married. I started a skin routine and it has worked well. Have kept it up but doesn't seem to work now against these crazy hormones 😂
Also I'm drinking tons of water but my skin has been terribly dry, just ordered some weleda skin food as that usually does the trick!

wannabebump · 29/04/2020 11:29

@seventhrow thinking of you x

Hancock2020 · 29/04/2020 12:37

Anyone else having basically a constant headache? I feel like ive had one for the past 5 weeks, trying not to take paracetamol too much but it's getting rather annoying now

ACatCalledLola · 29/04/2020 12:43

Sending lots of love @seventhrow

Addler · 29/04/2020 13:15

@Pcosandpregnant actually no, I thought I would as I never used to have regular periods since I was 15. I would miss them for 6 or 9 months at a time. Then I had weight loss surgery nearly two years ago and have had regular periods ever since the pre-op liver diet. So another thing I'm grateful for from that operation!

CoBell · 29/04/2020 13:25

Hi Ladies, it’s been great to hear about all the scans going well! Had my scan today at 12+2 but measuring at 12+6 making my due date 5th November Smile. I hope everyone is doing well. My symptoms have never been really bad but have dropped off massively now!

@CoBell I'm 5th November too! Love the fireworks association Smile

TangBloodyFastic · 29/04/2020 15:00

@HarrietM87 did they ring you with the results?
I'm due a call next week with mine but we (well I, yet to convince dh) that we don't want to find out the sex, did they ask you first if you wanted to know?

HarrietM87 · 29/04/2020 15:13

@TangBloodyFastic yes they phoned me and they asked if I wanted to know. They told me the risk profile over the phone but I asked them not to tell me the sex but to send the report by email. I let my husband open it and read the sex to me since he’s missing out on all the scans and stuff! I had the bloods taken last Thursday afternoon so it was quick!

I ticked a box when I submitted the bloods saying that we wanted to know though - if I hadn’t done that I guess it wouldn’t have said so on the report.

TangBloodyFastic · 29/04/2020 15:20

@HarrietM87 that's really quick turnaround! Mine have been sent abroad so expected back next Tuesday/weds
I didn't tick any boxes (there weren't any to tick!) I just signed the consent form and went on my way
Hope they don't blurt it out Confused

Pcosandpregnant · 29/04/2020 15:48

@Addler same for me. I never used to have regular periods until I lost weight a year or so ago. It’s crazy what losing weight can do!

I’ve just got back from my booking appointment and they said because of my pcos I will be consultant led. I wonder why this is? I’m assuming because of the risk of gestational diabetes.

Whoamieven · 29/04/2020 15:57

All good, just scraped into Nov, due 1st :)

Regarding cervix position - mine has been all over the place. It was low and hard for ages in the beginning which was freaking me out because everything on google said it should be high and soft. I think on last check it was finally starting to go higher and softer (tend not to check much now)

I also now officially think phlebotomists are the best thing since sliced bread after my bad experience with the midwife last week! They are so good - no faffing in and out. I don't even think getting bloods taken is that bad anymore! Yay!

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/04/2020 16:47

Great news @Talcott2007, @CoBell and @Whoamieven! Lots of lovely scan pictures Smile

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/04/2020 16:48

@HarrietM87 sorry if I missed this upthread, but why did you decide to have a harmony test? Was this after concerns from a 12 week scan or decided before for some reason? Still not sure if it’s something we’ll go for, most likely waiting to see from scan
