@AvacadoandToast don’t google!!! Remember they will also look at your bloods to determine a risk rating so it’s only part of the picture. Also as baby’s measuring big it makes sense that the measurement was also a bit bigger than average.

Tonicandgin · 27/04/2020 15:24

My scan is a week on Weds.

Dd (6) has started night waking again - she's been my prize sleeper so I assume this is Covid related. She's missing her friends and I do feel sorry for her.

Obvs being woken wakes up ds and then I can't get back to sleep easily. Dh usually deals with them in the night (they still automatically shout for him after we night weaned them when they were about 2 Wink).

Tiredness makes me more nauseous and I eat more. Deep joy.

Roll on bedtime.

On the plus side home schooling has gone well today (I have to find some positives!)

Hancock2020 · 27/04/2020 15:33

@Spoons1987 omg yey! Im going for a star fish nap! 😁🤩

GB88 · 27/04/2020 15:56

@TangBloodyFastic aww thats great news!, glad to hear it all went so well Grin

Avacadoandtoast · 27/04/2020 16:00

Thanks @ACatCalledLola - that’s really kind of you and has actually really reassured me. Hopefully get some good looking blood results back soon.

TangBloodyFastic · 27/04/2020 16:16

Thanks @GB88 & @BuffaloCauliflower
My new EDD is 19th.
Do I need to change my NHS scan date? I will be 13+5 on the day. Not sure what changes after 14wks with regards to combined test but I don't want to push it too far if I don't have to

HarrietM87 · 27/04/2020 16:22

@TangBloodyFastic congrats! I don’t think you need to change your NHS scan as long as your private scan brings you under 13+6. I had a similar issue but it was that I was booked in for 13+6 based on LMP but I’ve consistently measured 3-4 days ahead in private scans (I’ve had 3 now) which would have made me over 14 weeks by the time of the NHS scan, and that’s too late.

Assuming your scan is in the next couple of weeks it’s unlikely your dating will change again so I’m sure it’s fine.

TangBloodyFastic · 27/04/2020 16:28

Thanks @HarrietM87 I'll leave as it is. Like you said, can't see the date going forward any more by the next scan, it's only 2weeks away Grin

futuredreams · 27/04/2020 17:18

Mines on Thursday. Getting really nervous now. I'll be over 13 weeks by then going off my last period dates. Just hoping everything is ok.

60sPony · 27/04/2020 18:23

Have people being wearing masks to hospital? Do you keep them on when talking to midwife etc? Such uncharted territory!

Anon87 · 27/04/2020 18:35

@60sPony It's been 3 weeks since I've been to hospital but nothing was mentioned about masks, they were just heavy on following way behind down the corridors and using sanitiser at every door

Rainbowafterthestorm · 27/04/2020 18:51

@60sPony, I went until the Epau a few weeks ago. Nobody was wearing masks but all doors were locked to get on the epau so you had to press a buzzer and answer a lot of questions asking about any symptoms you may have before they opened it. There also wasn’t anyone in the waiting room so it looked liked a lot of things had been cancelled. There were also hand washing stations everywhere.

burntpinky · 27/04/2020 19:22

So my DH was just changing DC’s nappy as I can’t currently due to nausea. I happened to see the contents and had to run to the toilet whereupon I projectile vomited all over the wall (thankfully tiled) and it went in my hair. Now feeling bloody awful

Hancock2020 · 27/04/2020 19:31

I've been feeling crap today as well, couldn't eat my tea so now sat eating a bowl of fruit and fiber hoping it'll help with the constipation as well.

HarrietM87 · 27/04/2020 19:35

I haven’t worn a mask to hospital when I’ve been but that’s because I don’t have one! Going to try to get a reusable one off Etsy I think.

Audio30 · 27/04/2020 19:53

@60sPony I've just had a call from the midwife about my appointment tomorrow (booking in blood tests). I have to stay in the car... They will come out, take temperature and give a disposable mask apparently! It's going to be very surreal!! I think the policies depend on the local hospital

NS34 · 27/04/2020 20:41

My scan this afternoon all went well, measuring 11+6. Baby was jumping all over the place but managed to get all measurements and all looked good.

BuffaloCauliflower · 27/04/2020 20:50

Great news @NS34!

BuffaloCauliflower · 27/04/2020 20:54

I think you might have been on to something with the deficiencies @Anothercliche, my meat cravings have been joined the last couple of days with absolute exhaustion, I’m napping half the day and still can’t keep my eyes open, this is not conducive to writing an masters essay!

My DM has said she was very anaemic in all her pregnancies, and although I’m veggie so meat not usually a concern, I’ve had so many food aversions I’ve been eating really badly and nothing with iron in. Wondering if I should mention to the GP as I’m not sure when I’m likely to get a blood test from a midwife

carolyndiane01 · 27/04/2020 20:57

So what day are your babies due in november. Mines a early one. 1st november

LozEliza · 27/04/2020 21:06

Fantastic news @NS34!

wannabebump · 27/04/2020 21:38

Great news to everyone who has scans today.x

wannabebump · 27/04/2020 21:38

*had scans today!

Clearly past my bedtime.... x

Anothercliche · 27/04/2020 21:59

@BuffaloCauliflower have you had any dizziness, shortness of breath or does your skin look unusually pale? If yes then contact your GP straight away for a blood test and tell them your symptoms. If no, it's probably quicker to just start taking liquid iron and see if you feel better. Since you're veggie (and sounds like you have been for some time?) then it's very likely you have low iron. Team it up with prune juice if possible (MS allowing!), it will increase your fibre and help stop problems with constipation. If you can't manage prune juice then go for orange juice with as much pulp as possible and add ground or whole flax seeds (linseeds).

BuffaloCauliflower · 27/04/2020 22:35

@Anothercliche I have asthma so some funny breathing anyway, I don’t think I’ve noticed anything different. I’m also very pale anyway so hard to tell on that one too! Possibly a bit. I have been feeling light headed on standing up but put that down to the exhaustion. Wooziness has been a general pregnancy symptom for me, but no sickness.

I’ve actually had vitamin and mineral levels taken not too long ago (maybe within a year?) and had no deficiencies in anything. I usually eat lots of beans, lentils, greens, and tuna and sardines (I’m pescatarian) plus I have light periods, so iron hasn’t been a big concern. Does sound like it might be at the moment though. I’ll contact the GP in the morning.
