Hi everyone, I have been following the thread. I hope everyone is ok? Just a quick question is anyone’s nausea getting better? I am 11 weeks today and for the first time in weeks I haven’t thrown up. I hate it. We had a mc earlier in the year at 11 weeks and I am freaking out today. Praying I will throw up.

Any advice on dealing with it or anyone in a similar boat?
TIA 😊

I had a great day yesterday, had a Chinese (first one in months), ate most of it and enjoyed it.
Today I'm really feeling awfully sick, defrosting some sausages for tea and I want to hurl each time I see them, couldn't even handle making some toast without running into the garden for air ...

ACatCalledLola · 25/04/2020 13:30

@Alex1507 I’m 12 weeks today and have been feeling gradually better for the last two weeks. Yesterday I even felt well enough to do some cleaning. Today I feel like utter crap again. It’s completely normal for symptoms to come and go at this stage as the placenta takes over.

Addler · 25/04/2020 13:43

I've been having really bad sciatic pain on my left side since yesterday. Thought a walk would help but just made it worse. My hips are also really aching. Anyone having similar or have any tips? Sometimes I don't know if something is pregnancy related or not!

Fouryearslater · 25/04/2020 13:50

Argh. I can feel another appointment with the GP coming on. The Ondansetron (which makes a real difference to my sickness) has caused constipation, TMI but I’ve not been for a week now. Had two days of dulcosoft, 2 days of lactulose (which has had an explosive effect in the past!) and still nothing. I need to go but I can’t. Scared of straining too hard 😳 (and it hurts to!).

Don’t you just love pregnancy?

Rolly123 · 25/04/2020 14:39

@HarrietM87 yes! Exactly the same here. Was in bed by 8pm last night - tried to watch TV but was too tired for that even. Annoyingly though I woke up at 3 and couldn't get back to sleep. At 5 I gave up and went to another room but the cats kept buggering about on things and keeping me awake there too. So also shattered today!

burntpinky · 25/04/2020 14:41

@Alex1507 I’m the same as @ACatCalledLola and am also 12 weeks - couple of days ago I felt ok but last 2 days it’s been awful again (mostly today I am currently in bed and can’t get up) - agree it is normal for them to come and go

@Addler yes I have what I thibk is PGP or SPD. Had it last time but from much later on. Been getting it on and off since about week 7 in this pregnancy. Last night I got up for a wee in middle of night and was in agony, felt like everything giving way and crunching/grinding. Not sure if same as your as yours sounds more nerves and mine more osteo but I saw physio last time and they gave me a girdle so going to try that. If it continues see your gp as they might refer you to physio

Fredsgirl19 · 25/04/2020 15:13

@fouryearslater you need to get some glycerin suppositories from the chemist. They will help a lot!

Hancock2020 · 25/04/2020 15:29

I'm going to de lurk, I'm just being silly, my boobs still hurt and are getting more tender and bigger so surely everything is still ok.
Speaking of boobs anyone else's nipples getting sore and sometimes get itchy boobs?
Still haven't had a date for my scan yet so hopefully that will come in the next few days as I'm almost 10 weeks now.
Dying to get to the point we can find out the sex, then we can finally start to use the babies name instead of just jelly bean

ParisInTheSpringtime · 25/04/2020 15:39

Hi ladies. I’m going to leave Mumsnet - the rest of the site is so bitchy and awful I don’t think it’s healthy. I’m fed up of corona nazis here! I’m not here to flounce, but wanted to say that I have really appreciated being part of this little group. I wish you all the very best with your pregnancies, and thank you all so much for the support over the past few months. Here’s to a much better rest of 2020 🍷 xx

ParisInTheSpringtime · 25/04/2020 15:40

By here, I mean Mumsnet, not this thread.

eleanorsos · 25/04/2020 15:43

Sorry to hear that @Parisinthespringtime it's been lovely having you. Perhaps you'll pop back in 6 months time and let us know how it all went? 🙂 Wishing you all the best x

TangBloodyFastic · 25/04/2020 15:44

@HarrietM87 yes! Feel more or less normal today but still absolutely shattered
Got home from work yesterday, went straight to bed at 5:30pm, woke at 830pm and was back in bed by 10pm and slept until 5am this morn. Woke with a pounding headache but no nausea and could quite easily go back to bed now - it's only 15:45 Confused.
Ive also managed to convince myself that they're going to tell me I've had mmc on Monday. Why can't I think positively??

TangBloodyFastic · 25/04/2020 15:46

@ParisInTheSpringtime I dont really read the rest of Mumsnet as it's a little bit full on for me. I'm only really here for the pregnancy pages. Maybe consider staying and ignore all but pregnancy threads?

Hancock2020 · 25/04/2020 15:49

@TangBloodyFastic that's how I was the other day which Is why i went into lurking but i guess it is what it is so may as well just think everything is ok until told otherwise.
@ParisInTheSpringtime why not just only stay on this thread, I dont read anything else apart from this one 🤷‍♀️

Fredthespider · 25/04/2020 15:51

@ParisInTheSpringtime are you on the facebook group? You might find that a much better environment and will mean you don't lose the support totally. We were just saying the same thing about the wider mumsnet yesterday.

Pumpkin108 · 25/04/2020 15:51

@FlashesOfRaget thanks... didn’t know it was group b strep- didn’t get any info. Yes I’m on amoxicillin too until Friday! Hopefully clears it up

Addler · 25/04/2020 15:54

@burntpinky I do have dodgy nerves so may well be that, just didn't think I would have any trouble this early on! Hope it's just that u slept funny and goes away soon. Yours sounds awful to be starting so early this time

Fredthespider · 25/04/2020 16:03

@Addler I had SPD/PGP in my first pregnancy too, it flared up around 14 weeks so I'm trying to remember to be careful this time around with things like crossing my legs and sitting on the sofa with my legs up under me as they were triggers for me last time. My pain was more at the back around the sciatic joints.

Natopp · 25/04/2020 16:17

Totally with you on the tiredness and early nights. I am 11+2 today and my symptoms are as follows:
Itchy boobs that are getting heavier and nipples are slightly darker. Left is significantly bigger!
Can't stand coffee or tea - used to have 4/5 cups a day!
Exhaustion, like nothing I have ever felt before. Like a lot of you I have been in bed by 7pm asleep by 8pm, and I have been waking up 2-3 times in the night to pee and struggling to get back to sleep.
Small pains in my lower tummy when I stand up from sitting in a chair. Like a stitch. Think it's growing pains?
For the past few weeks I've had horrid food aversion and have been eating really badly. Today I meal planned, went to the supermarket, and cooked lunch for my wonderful husband who has been an absolute Saint these past weeks. I had a pad thai and it was so so good!! I'm starting to eat properly again which I'm thankful for.
Massively bloated but my tummy feels harder than when I was bloated pre-pregnancy.

12 days till my scan - counting down 😂😬😬

MoreGinPlease2020 · 25/04/2020 16:17

Anon87 · 25/04/2020 18:50

Jeez women, you don't half gab 😆

Just jumping in to keep track. Lovely seeing all these scans. 11+6 today for me, symptoms subsiding but tiredness likes to creep in. Belly's starting to "bump", just look like I'm due on but I can't suck it in haha. Scan coming up on Friday 🙌🏼

Chuckem15 · 25/04/2020 19:30

Please can you remind us of the Facebook page please? Also is it private that we're members? Thanks! Xx

HarrietM87 · 25/04/2020 20:07

This is random and maybe only helps me, but on the off chance works for others thought I’d share.

Weirdly when I’ve been feeling nauseous the thought of drinking water has completely repulsed me and I think I’ve been getting a bit dehydrated. I’ve started adding a bit of lemon juice to my water (first squeezed lemons and now I just use the cooking ingredient kind) and it makes it so much easier to drink! Something about the sharp bitterness of the lemon really helps with the sickness.

After saying earlier that it had eased up a lot it’s been awful again tonight! Really does fluctuate.
