@keepcalmcarrylife that’s great news!! It’s so nice to have the reassurance.
I’ve woken up feeling all hungover and groggy. I’ve not really had any symptoms so far, so even though I feel a bit crappy it’s kind of reassuring Confused.
@Jasminex1 that waistband looks so comfy! Weirdly I haven’t been feeling quite so bloated the last few days. Perhaps I’m just getting used to it though! Haven’t tried the jeans on again, but it’s not like there’s anywhere tho go in them!!

Whitey5 · 04/05/2020 13:21

Oh sorry @Jasminex1, I meant @VWLolabunny9119 !!

Jasminex1 · 04/05/2020 13:28

@Whitey5 haha that's ok!

I'm also getting the hungover feeling, today is the first day I've thought I might actually be sick but so far I've managed to hold back 🤢

Does anyone else feel like they have to check every single food item before eating it? It's getting so annoying now, I'll plan something for dinner and suddenly think to check to see if I can eat something in it and find out I can't!

Whitey5 · 04/05/2020 13:36

@Jasminex1 I’ve not found it too bad. I’m vegetarian so that might automatically cut out some things I shouldn’t have! I’ve cut out caffeine, which was actually not as hard as I thought it would be and soft or blue cheese is out. Eeeek. I’m worried now I’m not being careful enough. What else are you avoiding?

Jasminex1 · 04/05/2020 13:39

@Whitey5 meat hasn't been too bad because it's pretty black and white in terms of what you can and can't have. Today's thing is balsamic vinegar, I've googled it and it's very mixed as to whether you should have it! It's making me second guess so many foods

Whitey5 · 04/05/2020 13:43

@Jasminex1 oh right! I didn’t know about balsamic vinegar but I have it in salad dressing all the time Shock. Hmmm. I’m just going by the NHS website advice and haven’t really been reading round anywhere else. I figure that’s probably pretty reliable but you’ve got me wondering!

Jasminex1 · 04/05/2020 14:09

@Whitey5 I think I'm going to just go from the NHS list too, if not I don't think there'll be anything left to eat!😂

Whitey5 · 04/05/2020 14:19

@Jasminex1 haha! I think you’re right Wink

VWLolabunny9119 · 04/05/2020 15:44

@Whitey5 they are comfy but I'v not worn them anywhere yet in case someone notices I'm wearing maternity trousers. I'v always had a bit of a belly so hopefully I'll get away without anyone noticing a bump for a while. I would like to wait for the 1st scan before I tell anyone other than my husband.

@Jasminex1 I had no idea about balsamic vinegar! It's stuff like that catches you out. Meat is quite straightforward in that you just need it well cooked. I got caught out on the herbal tea. Not having runny eggs is annoying. There fine if there from the supermarket as there always red lion assured which means the chickens are vaccinated for salmonella but I have my own chickens which lay lovely eggs but haven't been vaccinated so there's a risk.

Felt a bit sick this morning but nothing came up. Also felt like I was on a moving ship.

Anyone worried about COVID 19? I feel like they might start relaxing stuff soon but I'm not ready to tell friends and family that I'm now in the high risk category and still want to be careful. X

Jasminex1 · 04/05/2020 15:49

@VWLolabunny9119 me neither, but my google was so inconclusive that I'm just going to go by the NHS site - as this doesn't say anything about avoiding it I'm going to assume it's fine to have still!

I was exactly the same this morning, I turned 7 weeks today and I feel like the sickness is coming for me now 😂

I'm so tempted to get some maternity leggings as everything is sooo uncomfortable!

Whitey5 · 04/05/2020 16:23

@VWLolabunny9119 I’m the same, I’m not huge but my tummy has never been the most trim. Hoping it just looks like I’ve eaten a few too many pies or over-indulged during lockdown!!
Covid is a worry but what evidence there is seems to imply that pregnant women do not seem suffer any differently from non-pregnant women. And that it doesn’t seem to transfer to unborn babies. I’m hoping this is the case as I’m frontline NHS and although my workplace has placed me away from confirmed Covid cases, suspected cases always seem to slip through the net. It’s a bit of a minefield 😨. Last week we had suspected mumps and shingles patients at work. Cue mega anxiety!
I think all we can do is be extra vigilant with social distancing and hope for the best. Scary times though xxx

VWLolabunny9119 · 04/05/2020 16:30

@Jasminex1 I turned week 6 today so exactly a week behind you. I'll probably feel horrendous this time next week!

Wow @Whitey5 that really does put things in to perspective for me. Here I am worried about family and myself picking it up at the supermarket but of course there are pregnant key workers like yourself soldiering on through it! It must be worrying for you at times! Your amazing for what your doing!

OP posts:
Whitey5 · 04/05/2020 16:39

Awww @VWLolabunny9119 that’s really lovely of you but honestly it’s just my job! I have a friend who is due any day now and I just feel really sad for her. She’s not been able to attend any ‘normal’ anti-natal care and her friends and family won’t be able to see her little girl when she’s born. Hopefully 8 months down the line things will be a lot more relaxed.
@Jasminex1 sorry to here you’re not feeling so well. I’m 6 weeks today as well. Feels like the sickness might be coming for me too 😱 xxx

RoselynPamper · 04/05/2020 16:58

Back story, I’ve had pregnancy symptoms for 3 weeks, and on April 30th as soon as I woke up something just told me like hey go take a pregnancy test, so that’s what I did. The test line showed up immediately before the control line even though it was nowhere near as dark as the control line it was very obvious a positive line was visible. This same day, my boyfriend picked me up and I had told him everything before hand, he pretty much already believed I was pregnant before I got the positive. And so did I. But this same day, my boyfriend and I had sex, and probably 2 hours after just watching movies, I noticed I felt extremely weak, and fatigue.. like it was insanely scaring. I had a feeling like my body was so weak that it was somehow a sign of death, (obviously that’s me freaking out). But May 1st, 1pm I went to wipe, and there was red blood on the tissue. It was light. Very light. The bleeding stopped around 3pm, But I had put a pad on just to be cautious as I was very scared. I noticed the blood never touched my pad, and was only there when I wiped, or when I peed some blood would fall out in a clot like form. I took a shower that night, and saw something just running down my leg, it was red blood, there was nothing in it, no clots or anything.. it was just empty blood running from my leg, and so I immediately cleaned up and dried off and went straight to my bed, where I was then noticing I was having insanely bad cramps in both my lower right abdomen and then it switched to my lower left. Ever since this, I’ve had tiny tiny small clots like just 2 dots everytime I’ve used the bathroom, and the rest has kind of been like clear discharge that comes out with the blood. There hasn’t been any huge clots or anything, the blood has varied from dark red, bright red, light brown, to pink.. and it hasn’t touched my pad any, but when I wipe it comes out, and when I urinate, the blood comes out in that form like there’s clear discharge and strings with it and I’ve tried to look at it every time it happens but it just goes into the toilet bowl... (tmi im very sorry).
It’s now May 4th I haven’t been out of bed yet as it’s 11am. I’m very scared guys.. I’m not sure if this is a miscarriage, if it’s a hemorrhage, or what.. I don’t feel like this is a miscarriage, just because the blood is not bad at all and I haven’t found anything in my blood but tiny and small clots, and strings..
if someone could please give an input or advice, that would be greatly appreciated,
This is my first pregnancy as a teen.

Jasminex1 · 04/05/2020 17:43

@RoselynPamper I wasn't sure if you meant to post here or start a thread, but wanted to say that I haven't experienced this personally so can't really give much advice, have you called your doctor/local midwife?

Jasminex1 · 04/05/2020 17:45

@Whitey5 I'm hoping it doesn't last long! I just feel like I've been sat on a boat all day, I'm kind of glad I get to work from home through it as I can keep it a secret for longer!

I also hope that by the time we're all due it's a lot more relaxed, I definitely feel for the mums having to stay away from loved ones with a new baby!

Whitey5 · 04/05/2020 18:00

Sorry to hear you’re having a worrying time @RoselynPamper as @Jasminex1, I’d speak to your GP.

@Jasminex1 I think I have a similar feeling but just wasn’t too sure how to describe it! I feel a bit light headed, like I’ve stood up a bit too quick or my blood pressure is a bit low (wouldn’t surprise me!). I’ve had a mega lazy day. Been on the sofa for most of it which is not like me. Hurry up second trimester xxx

Jasminex1 · 04/05/2020 22:37

@Whitey5 me too! I'd usually get so bored trying to have a lazy day but honestly I didn't even want to move today.

The bloating is back every so often too, I've already purchased a pregnancy pillow because it got so uncomfortable to sleep on my front! Just waiting for the to arrive 😂

It seems horrible to wish it away but I can't wait until scans are done and second trimester is here fx!

VWLolabunny9119 · 05/05/2020 07:31

@RoselynPamper sorry to hear about what your going through. You do need to speak to your GP. I had exactly the same thing back in February and I'm sorry to say that it was a miscarriage. However they did say bleeding could happen throughout pregnancy. You won't know until they look at you properly. Best wishes Thanks

ChristmasEve2020 · 05/05/2020 15:20

Congrats All! I'm due Christmas Eve. Such an anxious wait until my early scan next week. I think it's going slower due to lockdown!

Jasminex1 · 05/05/2020 15:22

@ChristmasEve2020 congratulations! Is it a private scan? It really is going soooo slow!

ChristmasEve2020 · 05/05/2020 15:25

@Jasminex1 Yes it is private, first pregnancy worries! Just can't stop thinking that there won't be a heartbeat which terrifies me. It's next Thursday. When are you due?

Jasminex1 · 05/05/2020 15:30

@ChristmasEve2020 21st December with my first too! Try not to worry (easier said than done I know) if nothing has happened to suggest that will be the case! How are you getting on symptom wise do far? We thought about having an early scan but only if dp can't come to the 12 week scan.

ChristmasEve2020 · 05/05/2020 15:32

@Jasminex1 So exciting isn't it?! True, I haven't had any adverse symptoms which are worrying, so that's positive. I've been quite lucky, very sore boobs and waking up in the night for an hour or two, a little nausea but not much. You? That's what I didn't want to happen, my local hospital aren't allowing partners at the moment so I wanted him to see the baby for the first time with me x

Jasminex1 · 05/05/2020 15:38

@ChristmasEve2020 it really is! That is positive, mines been nausea which started this week, cramps and just feeling soooo tired. I don't think mine are either, although I'm still waiting for my appointment letter which I'm sure will tell me. Have you had you midwife call yet?
