@Clackers89 it's taking all of my willpower not to eat constantly! Are you working from home or anything? It's the only thing distracting me.

I'm the same when it comes to ordering things before 12 weeks, I don't want to jinx it!xx

Jasminex1 · 29/04/2020 17:02

@Clackers89 I just have terrible feeling that I'll go over and suddenly go into labour during my Christmas dinner!😂xx

Clackers89 · 29/04/2020 17:04

Yeah I'm working from home. It's so difficult as all I want to do is eat.

Clackers89 · 29/04/2020 17:06

Sorry didn't mean to press send on my last message.

I'm trying to eat better but it's so difficult isn't it! Are you working from home too?

Haha maybe you need to have a Christmas dinner every weekend in December just incase the 25th December does get cut short hehe xx

Whitey5 · 29/04/2020 17:13

Hi @Ssammy, I have everything crossed for you and hopefully your scan was just too early and everything will be fine! The wait is agony though and I really hope it goes quickly for you.
@Clackers89 and @Jasminex1 I was thinking the same...maternity jeans look wayyy comfier. I’m currently living in dungarees and will definitely need some bigger bras soon. It’s all just a bit awkward with lockdown but I might just order some online xxx

Jasminex1 · 29/04/2020 17:51

@Clackers89 it's the little snacks that I find difficult to stay away from! I've been trying to get more fruit and veg in which seems to be easier in lockdown as you can't just go and get something else for dinner if you fancy it haha! Yes I'm working from home too, I'm so bored of lockdown already and I think it's making the wait for a scan feel even longer! That's a brilliant idea 😂

@Whitey5 I think online is the way to go, I'm thinking about buying some maternity leggings (don't need them yet but the stretch will come in handy) as I can then wear them when I go back to work as well!xx

Whitey5 · 29/04/2020 18:11

@Jasminex1 good idea! Leggings are currently my friend but ones with extra tummy space sound better. Think I need to get some longer/looser tops to go with too. I’ve heard good things about Seraphine maternity wear which is online and I don’t think it’s too spendy.
I also cannot stop eating. I’m still going out to work but there is so much food around the place and none of it’s healthy! Serious will power required Hmm xxx

Jasminex1 · 29/04/2020 18:34

@Whitey5 that's what I'm thinking, I just find the bands so uncomfortable at the moment, like I can't get anything to sit right if that makes sense? I'll have a look at them!
Oh gosh, how do you feel still going to work? I've barely left the house in the last month, the thought of going back makes me nervous!xxx

Whitey5 · 29/04/2020 19:38

@Jasminex1 I’m exactly the same, whether they’re high waisted or low they’re just uncomfortable! I’ve been looking at Gap and H&M which look like they have good basic stuff.
I don’t really feel like anything has changed with lockdown. I’m a nurse so my job has only got busier and I live in a fairly rural place so I can still get out for exercise once a day without running into anyone. I feel quite lucky really. I would not cope well being confined to home! Fingers crossed it all blows over soon xxx

victay · 29/04/2020 19:44

Hi ladies,
Hope you don't mind me joining you!! I am due 7th Jan so very early days. I am looking for some support during this time as last preg resulted in a missed miscarriage and has made now even more frantic xx

Jasminex1 · 29/04/2020 20:46

@Whitey5 yes exactly! I think H&M has some good stuff so I'm going to look on there, they also do some veryyy cute baby clothes which I'll have to resist for now!
It must be so nice being rural, we don't live anywhere particularly busy but you still pass quite a few people out walking!xx

@victay congratulations! Sorry to hear about your last pregnancy, try not to be too anxious (easier said than done!), I've found MN very helpful so far with things I've worried about 😊 xx

VWLolabunny9119 · 01/05/2020 07:36

I have such sore boobs and tummy cramps. My husband keeps wanting to hold my belly but I'm really sensitive and often find it uncomfortable so I pull away. We're usually a very cuddly couple but at the moment I just don't like having my tummy touched. Does anyone else feel like this?

Pjk1996 · 01/05/2020 08:08

Hi I hope it’s okay if I join, My estimated due date is the 30/12 😊 very excited but also lots of nerves as miscarried in August. Has anyone else had a tiny bit of spotting? Had no cramps alongside so hoping it’s implantation as I’m 5 weeks!

Clackers89 · 01/05/2020 08:45

I've been the exactly the same @VWLolabunny9119. I am in so much pain especially in the evenings! We tend to eat around 7:30/8pm and said to my other half maybe we need to start having dinner earlier so got time for it to go down before bed.
I feel like I've got a constant hangover. I haven't been sick but keep gagging and feel really sensitive to smells! Have you had any sickness or anything? xx

Jasminex1 · 01/05/2020 08:51

@VWLolabunny9119 I've had the cramps which make me feel sensitive, not fun!

@Clackers89 the nausea has finally hit 😭 no sickness yet but I feel like I've got a hangover?xx

Clackers89 · 01/05/2020 08:58

Same! @Jasminex1 I feel like I've been all the gin all night and have a huge hangover haha. I don't know if I would be better off being sick and getting it over and done with but at the moment it's just the sick feeling I'm getting! xx

Whitey5 · 01/05/2020 09:46

I've been finding it really hard to get up in the mornings. Normally I like to get up and out early but this last week I feel like such a lazy bones! Not hungover-feeling as such but it feels like I've had the biggest, garlicky meal ever come the morning (when no garlic has be consumed) and the nasty taste really lingers! Sore boobs and bloating in the evenings but luckily no nausea yet xxx

VWLolabunny9119 · 01/05/2020 14:15

I was really tired last week but the last few days I'v been really motivated which is generally odd for me. I'v started tracking my steps again and trying to get my 10,000 a day which I think has helped. I'm usually a very light sleeper but recently I've slept like a log. I still have stomach cramps. Totally get the feeling of wanting to eat earlier in the evening which may mean I need to start eating before my husband comes home. At the moment there is never really much that I fancy eating. When do cravings kick in? at the moment not much food interests me. I usually love food!

Jasminex1 · 01/05/2020 21:16

@Clackers89 it disappeared around lunchtime but it's just come back! I feel like I'm on a boat 😭 I don't feel like I'm going to actually be sick yet but I'm not looking forward to that

VWLolabunny9119 · 02/05/2020 10:17

Food and drink is such a minefield! I'v cut out the caffeine and switched to herbal tea. I'v been really enjoying PUKKA peppermint and licorice tea. Only today I happen to read the tiny writing on the box which says to seek professional advice when pregnant. After further research I discover licorice roots can increase chance of miscarriage!! I'm so annoyed. Why don't they have the pregnant lady symbol like they have on alcohol on the box! Angry I know I know I should have read the box first. I'll have to be more careful now.

Hi! Hope I'm not too late to join 😍

Had my coil removed on 11th March and going by regular tests (I'm neurotic haha) with a positive from 23rd April I'm due 31.12.20! (Based it on conception date of 9th April..)

Have rung my GP and given a few details so midwife is due to call or email me on Wednesday!

Jasminex1 · 02/05/2020 13:19

@VWLolabunny9119 totally agree! I feel like I can't eat anything before checking first because there are so many things I would never have even though of before!

I was getting upset that I wouldn't be able to have chorizo or pepperoni on my Dominoes later, but after much research Dominoes themselves confirmed that all ingredients are cooked through and safe for pregnant women 😂

BinnySkitch89 · 02/05/2020 14:44

I was so excited to read as long as it's cooked I can still have cheeeeeese

keepcalmcarrylife · 02/05/2020 18:50

Hi all, just a quick update I thought some of you may found helpful. Had a reassurance scan today with 'window to womb', they made me 7+4. Could see little heartbeat, head, arms and legs forming. They were so lovely and I was able to have my husband there too. I found it really reassuring Smile. Hope you're all keeping safe.

VWLolabunny9119 · 03/05/2020 14:24

My maternity jeggings arrived today. Not sure I really need them yet but they are very comfortable. Ordered them from New Look.
