Christmas babies

Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

I am 21dpo today, 5 weeks pregnant. Took one this morning and still 2 to 3...need to wait a couple days!! X

Has anyone bought anything for baby yet?

I know most will be wanting to wait till after scans but if anyone has what did you get first? Or planning to buy first?

@GeeHO98 I've bought a vest with baby's surname on and some little booties, I'm trying to hold out until 12 weeks but it's proving hard. How far on are you? X

Today has been an absolute write-off, I'm 5+3 felt horrendously sick from lunch time onwards and slept for 4 hours this afternoon hopefully it's a one off and it's not how things are going to be going forward, I don't fancy 4 hour naps everyday ..
Anybody else feel bad today? X

@Rnic1x oh bless you!! Its hard isn't it? I was rough yesterday.. today I've felt ok but shattered. I had to have a nap.
Don't worry yourself, your body is working over time right now it's just the hormones ❤️ it's meant to get easier after 12 weeks 🙏🏻

@GeeHO98 haven't bought anything yet, apart from a pregnancy pillow and a book to read but nothing for baby - darent yet!

@Rnic1x sorry you've had a bad day bless you. Ive had quite an easy day today symptoms wise. Boobs feel a little bigger but did a 6 mile walk this morning and then some prenatal pilayes this afternoon.

My lower stomach is starting to bloat and I'm peeing more though.

But if I hadnt have done another frer today could have convinced myself I wasn't preg 😂 line was darker than control so must mean my hormones are nice and high?

How have everyone else been feeling?

@djmbaker it really has been rough today, I never nap during the day like ever so I think it worried my dp a bit! Are you feeling better?

@katbaby aww I'm glad your boobs feel bigger for you haha, mine are still sore too, guessing this will stay for 9 months! Aww bless you it's weird isn't it like we know we're pregnant but we just need it confirming haha, yes must be doubling nicely. I haven't got any tests left I might order a few just to see what we like I must have spent a fortune on them these past few weeks x

@Rnic1x hubby doesn't think they are any bigger to feel but I have this fuller sensation if that makes sense?

Fingers crossed today was a bit of a one off for you and you're feeling much better tomorrow 🤞🤞definitely need it confirming especially when hardly having symptoms it's like I wish I could see inside check everythings happening like it should be.
Got one more clear blue and one more weeks digi left to do next week then midwife appt the week after! Really hope I'm sent for an early scan since haven't had a period before getting pregnant!

How are people staying busy??

@katbaby yeah they feel full to us don't they. I hope so I'm working all day from home and it's hard work if you feel sick :(

Yes me too I which we could see everything happening inside everyday it would put my mind at rest.
When are you going to test? I have midwife on 5th l so hopefully that comes around quick, they are scanning me too.
When was your last period?

I'm working all day during week and until 1 at weekends everyday so it's keeping me busy, days are flying in but weeks seem to drag? Are you working still? X

@Rnic1x oh god yeah I can imagine. Well tested with my frer today, gonna do the weeks indicator prob wednesday/Thursday then the last one next weekend before my appt on the 7th.

I came off the pill December 18th and then had my withdrawal bleed from 20th-24th December then nothing after that then got my bfp 17th April! So haven't had a natural period at all.

No I'm not currently working as I'm higher risk and my job can't be done from home so they sent me home on pay which is good. They are trying to set me up on a laptop though to do a slightly amended job so may be set up by the end of this week but I've now had 5 weeks off so running out of things to keep me busy!

6 days a week is a lot to do! What is it you do? X

@Rnic1x I'm ok today, I've had cramps today.. mild but still cramping! My tummy is making the weirdest sounds too?? Im very windy 😂
My boobs kill.. I've worn a bra today to support them. My nausea hasn't been too bad today, which is weird as I have felt horrendous the last few days.
I've ordered two more first response tests 😂 I blame you @Katbaby .. when my partner asks why we have more being delivered it's your name I'll use 😂
That's great you've got 5 weeks off paid!! I would quite like to not have to go back to work until I'm 12 weeks.. struggling to hide it. I'm so bloated!!!!🤦🏻‍♀️ anyone else looking like they've over indulged??

@Rnic1x I know it's so hard I'm only 5+6 and I ended up looking & ordered something.
I've felt bad today for first time too was like a mix of a cold and a hangover x

Think I'll be off til further notice prob be 12 weeks preg before I go back. I'm actually hoping they can set me up to work a bit from home tho as I'm fairly bored If I didn't have the dog to walk, and hubbys off work on pay too so at least we are together. Not doing each others heads in yet!

Oh I just want to know how far along I am?! Wish I knew like some of you girls!
Yes I have a lower tummy bloat but I'm noticing it a lot more cos it was flat before so it's just popped out a little with bloat.

@katbaby ohh I'm sure they will give you a scan quick you could he further on that you think, push for one. I've only had 2 since my coil was removed on Jan 1 normal and 1 2 days so they want to just check me but I took a test and it was negative so I know I wasn't pregnant before. I work for council, I work from home anyway though so that's no different to me it's absolutely mental busy atm though there's people off work and a million things coming through we need to get done like now, so busy which is good.

@djmbaker aww I know what you mean my stomach rumbled like it's never done before tonight my dp said what the actual hell was that haha ... Your baby .
I'm wearing sports bras but they still hurt, hopefully once this is over I can go and get some more supportive ones.

@geeho98 ohhh it's hard not to isnt it. I've got a few outfits in my next basket I keep adding too... I might get them soon. What did you order? Aww I hope you feel better soon, it's strange isn't it how something so tiny can make you so poorly. My dp asked today why it makes you sick, I couldn't even answer as I don't really know hormones I suppose. Will this be your first baby? X

@Rnic1x well I had bloods done in Feb as I hadn't had a period and obviously they came back negative and I was doing a pregnancy test once every 2 weeks and the one I did on the 10th April was negative then the one the week later on 17th was faint positive and the digi on Thursday said 2-3 so I'm confident I'm around the 5 week mark but yeah I would really like the scan just for reassurance and to confirm it for me

Is it wrong I want to feel worse to somehow validate this pregnancy as much as this!?!

@Rnic1x No my second I have a 3 year old girl. I'm bloating a lot this time round my stomach is about the same size it was when I had my bump at 4 months with my first & a cot🙈silly I know but I saw it on offer and pre-ordered it for June delivery I figured if sadly something does happen I could cancel the order x

@katbaby yeah hopefully they'll give you one for reassurance.
No it's not wrong, it's weird to say but feeling ill makes it more real? Although I have felt so awful today, but I know something is happening right.

@GeeHO98 aww lovely a big sister. I'm bloating loads, I haven't worn jeans since lockdown but I tried them on today and struggled to button them up... Aww no if it's on offer you may aswell that's my mentality offers mean you have too x

@Rnic1x I'm the same with my jeans too it's crazy to think we can have this much bloating already isn't it. Last time I just used the hair bobble trick to keep wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans it worked all the way through thankfully. But if you or anyone else on here is wanting to look for maternity clothes soon I've just been told new look, boohoo and H&M are good x

Morning ladies!
Had a lovely afternoon and evening yesterday grilling and playing board games (pandemic ironically), which was so much fun. Today's new symptom is a backache! And I've also woken up with another headache.

@Natt99 omg totally need to invest in the best coffee. Also I'm going to have to get an extra delicious bottle of wine to have after the baby has arrived (and probably have one glass and be tipsy from not drinking for 9 months) 😂 I'll become a cheap date 😂 lucky husband!

How is everyone feeling this Monday? I've got another busy week at work 😞

Morning everyone, so I've remembered why I don't nap I hardly slept at all last night, tossing and turning all night! I won't be napping in future. Sickness is still there, I'm not sure if I think it's there now though. I've just had 2 ginger nut biscuits I'll see if they help at all. Ready for a 10 hour home working day... Roll on bed time tonight. Hope everyone's feeling ok x

@december2020 I hope you feel better soon, are you taking anything for your headache? I've had one for a few weeks but don't want to risk paracetamol x
