I seem to get slight cramps after I've been to the toilet especially if my bladder was very full. It only lasts 5-10 mins after I don't know if my womb is kinda like moving back into place after the bladder has emptied?? That's my theory 😂

jeleigh · 15/04/2020 19:46

@AnxiousLady1 I feel like I’ve looked 6 months pregnant since I found out, despite barely eating because I’ve been so nauseous. I have no idea what’s bump, what’s bloating and what’s just a food baby from living off copious amount of crisps for weeks

BuffaloCauliflower · 15/04/2020 19:50

@HarrietM87 @jeleigh thanks both. It’s bloody awful isn’t it?! All the ‘normal’ feelings are also signs something’s wrong. Mother nature’s cruel trick. I’m just counting down the weeks and days till my scan so at least I know somethings alive in there

Sakura54 · 15/04/2020 20:03

@Pink15 same here. I sometimes cramp when I need to pee and then after for a few mins. Dr Google says it could be a UTI, but I know it’s not, seeing as I got a check up at my booking appt!

@BuffaloCauliflower I have those period type pains too - my midwife said it was perfectly normal and I’m only to worry if there’s bleeding. Mine started (coincidentally I think) during yoga, and I was convinced I’d done something to myself.

FilthyforFirth · 15/04/2020 20:05

Has anyone had or considering a vbac? My first was a planned section as DS went breach and Kings wouldnt let ftm's try naturally. I was gutted at the time but I got over it and my section went well and I recovered quickly.

As this is my last baby I am keen to try for a natural birth if possible. But wondering other people's experiences?

BuffaloCauliflower · 15/04/2020 20:11

Thanks all. I think objectively I know it’s fine but it’s hard not to fall into a google hole!

Pcosandpregnant · 15/04/2020 20:18

I’m the same with google @buffalocauliflower! I had them pretty much non stop for a couple of weeks and I took some lactulose yesterday, I’ll spare you the details Grin but I’ve felt sooooo much better and have felt hardly any pains since! But now I’m worried about that Grin just can’t win!

Lulubon · 15/04/2020 20:32

@BuffaloCauliflower I’m the exact same 9 weeks and lots of twinges here and there. I had a day where it was constant on and off and I expected the worst (previous miscarriage too) but seems to just be different each day.

Workingmama1 · 15/04/2020 20:33

Random twinges and not too painful cramping are perfectly normal! I remember taking paracetamol for them with my daughter.
Weirdly I'm finding them reassuring right now as I'm expecting bad news at my scan tomorrow but figured I might not be getting them if the baby had stooped growing?
Also still getting constipation which is causing a different type of stomach pain!

BuffaloCauliflower · 15/04/2020 20:34

@Pcosandpregnant I do think I might be a bit gassy! My diet is usually great, lots of veg/legumes etc, but whilst I haven’t had any sickness I’ve had a lot of food aversions and I’ve been eating mainly white carbs for weeks. So much less fibre than I’m used to and I’m sure my body is suffering as a result. Just having the same pain consistently all day rather than on and off does make me worry more

Pcosandpregnant · 15/04/2020 20:35

@workingmama1 I find them reassuring too sometimes! Why are you expecting bad news? I’ve missed that part. I hope it goes okay I’ll be thinking of you.

calimommy · 15/04/2020 20:35

@FilthyforFirth If your section was planned secondary to baby being breech then unless this baby does the same thing (and/or you develop risk factors between now and then) I can't see why not. If you had had a traumatic delivery, baby became stuck or you/both developed complications during a labour which resulted in an emergency section then they might push back a bit. Although I don't have the figures to hand, there is a risk this baby might be breech as well. Did DC1 have hip problems?

Pcosandpregnant · 15/04/2020 20:37

@BuffaloCauliflower I am the same. My diet has completely changed. I’ve had no sickness either but huge food aversions! I think there is just so much going on in there your bound to feel some discomfort. I also remind myself that if I didn’t know I was pregnant I probably wouldn’t even notice it!

FilthyforFirth · 15/04/2020 20:41

Thanks @calimommy. No DS's hips were fine. I know the recovery is longer with a section but I guess there are tears to consider with natural birth.

I really hated the feeling of being completely numb and unable to move. It freaked me out, especially in recovery.

I have a lot of time to think about it I guess!

Fouryearslater · 15/04/2020 20:55

@filthyforfirth I’m really undecided. I’m petrified of going into labour again (won’t go into it and scare the first timers!!) but I had a hard time with the emergency section and awful recovery. At my debrief, the consultant said that next time I could have growth and position scans when in labour so I could make a decision there and then. But this pissing virus could put paid to that.

Clove20 · 15/04/2020 20:58

Hi ladies, just marking my spot on the new thread

I am 8 weeks today and the last 2 weeks have been awful with morning sickness and nausea. I am on medication but still struggling. Got my sickness bands on and using ginger when I can.

I had my booking appointment today, got to go into the surgery for bloods tomorrow. I'm also meant to have a scan tomorrow but they said I need a full bladder, and I don't think I will have a full bladder so may cancel that.

BuffaloCauliflower · 15/04/2020 21:00

@Clove20 what makes you so sure you won’t be able to have a full bladder? My 12 week scan letter says no need for a full bladder but an earlier one might be different

Clove20 · 15/04/2020 21:04

@buffalocauliflower

I am taking sips of water during the day and ice lollies, but I'm just assuming it's not enough for a full bladder as I'm urinating less than normal

Lyris · 15/04/2020 21:08

@BuffaloCauliflower major bloat going on here and has been for about 2 weeks. I'm not a small girl anyway but I look like I ready to give birth!

Pink15 · 15/04/2020 21:08

@Clove20 what times the scan? Could you just not pee for several hours like if it's late morning don't pee when you get up?

4thTimer · 15/04/2020 21:09

@Clove20 even if you manage a little drink before the scan, your bladder will be full enough. It doesn't need to be loads Smile

Clove20 · 15/04/2020 21:11

My scan is at 3pm.

I will keep taking sips all day and also try not to go toilet a couple of hours before the scan.

Thanks ladies xx

HarrietM87 · 15/04/2020 21:13

I was meant to have a full bladder for my scan yesterday but forgot and went for a wee just before 🤦‍♀️. It was absolutely fine - totally clear picture and I’m only just 10 weeks. I think it depends how heavy you are and what position the baby is in but you don’t need to be absolutely bursting!

burntpinky · 15/04/2020 21:16

I have the shits. Bloody wonderful. So now I feel sick and have the shits. Last week I was constipated.

@BuffaloCauliflower I’ve been getting twinges and am 10+4. I think it’s probably just everything stretching but like majority on here I google every symptom too! Pregnancy is a minefield for sure.

Iona test for me tomorrow. Will be glad to get that done and just hope results are quick. Going to send it special delivery so it gets there Friday
