Thanks both, I’ll have a look. Good if it adjusts for different factors

BuffaloCauliflower · 21/04/2020 08:44

I’ve got that same chart but unadjusted. Will see after my scan tomorrow, 10 weeks tomorrow so just hopeful everything is looking as it should. I’ve had no indication it isn’t but somehow that isn’t comforting

excitednerves · 21/04/2020 08:49

Fingers crossed for you @buffalocauliflower! Hoping you bring us back some reassuring good news!

BeMorePacific · 21/04/2020 09:06

@Ashby2020 temperature changes that impact your whole body may impact the baby. Eg a really hot bath, that raises your temperature.
Sitting on a cold driveway won’t impact your core body temp at all. So please don’t worry.. just make the most of finding it easy to get up from the floor Wink x

BuffaloCauliflower · 21/04/2020 09:17

@BeMorePacific - I’ve read the research on hot baths in pregnancy and it’s pretty clear that it’s only likely to effect the baby if the bath makes your body’s internal temperate goes over 40c, and they’ve not found any cases of a bath doing this, even a really hot one. Our bodies internally regulate

burntpinky · 21/04/2020 09:25

Anyone struggling with constipation? At the risk of an over share I spent 45 minutes on the loo this morning with the final result being that my husband had to get the plunger out and said “how has it come to this”? 😂

FirstBaby2020 · 21/04/2020 09:32

@BuffaloCauliflower I'm extra hoping everything goes well for you tomorrow since we have the same due dates I feel like were probably panicking as much as each other so fingers and toes crossed! 😊

TangBloodyFastic · 21/04/2020 09:35

@burntpinky 😂🤢😂 your poor hubby haha I used to regular now I feel constantly bunged up.m and sluggish. Awful feeling

Reading the above then regarding core body temp can I have a bath as long as it's not piping hot? Our shower is going to be out of action for a few weeks and if I've got to resort to having a bath I want a proper relaxing soak not a quick dip

BuffaloCauliflower · 21/04/2020 09:36

@TangBloodyFastic yes you can have a bath. Realistically you can have a hot one because they’ve not found any evidence that even a very hot bath actually raises your core temp to any dangerous level, though the official guidance is still to avoid very hot baths. But of course do what you’re comfortable with

HarrietM87 · 21/04/2020 09:41

So sorry to hear that @calimommy.

@Hancock2020 I’m convinced it’s a girl purely because my pregnancy has been the complete opposite to when I was pregnant with my son so far. With him I had no symptoms, loads of energy, glowing skin. This time ive had everything - sore boobs, morning sickness, nose bleeds, cramps and acne 😭. I’m getting the harmony test so will find out in a couple of weeks. Would be delighted with either but we think it would help our son prepare to know.

AnxiousLady1 · 21/04/2020 09:45

@burntpinky that made me laugh, sorry!

I got sick after breakfast this morning and it went up my nose. Despite all my attempts to blow my nose, brush my teeth etc since, all I can smell when I breathe in is puke. Lovely...

bluebell94 · 21/04/2020 09:58

@burntpinky yes that sounds exactly like what happened to me last week haha! God it's awful, making a conscious effort to eat more fibre, weetabix this morning 😂 I hope this doesn't last! Feel like I've constantly got a heavy feeling in my abdomen because of it 😖

TangBloodyFastic · 21/04/2020 10:02

Thanks @BuffaloCauliflower I don't think I'd have it boiling but don't want to sit in tepid water - no one wants a cool bath!

overandoverafail · 21/04/2020 10:06

When the lockdowns lifted where are you all going to look at prams etc now there isn't any mothercare or babies r us stores anymore. I got everything for DC1 from there and now a bit lost at where I can go to actually see products rather than just looking online

BuffaloCauliflower · 21/04/2020 10:07

@TangBloodyFastic well indeed! Hot baths are one of my main strategies to manage my anxiety so it was really important to me to know if they would still be ok

HarrietM87 · 21/04/2020 10:14

@overandoverafail I’m so sad about mothercare! I think John Lewis is the only place left?

Pinktruffle · 21/04/2020 10:14

@overandoverafail Do you have a Mamas and Papas near you? We have so will probably look there. I already know which pram I want but think DH should get a chance to have a look too.

FireflyGirl · 21/04/2020 10:19

@overandoverafail your best bet will probably be an independent local pram/baby shop. They will be able to give you lots of advice as well.

I still have my pram etc from DS, which I loved, so will be sticking with that (but getting a new car seat).

overandoverafail · 21/04/2020 10:20

I'll have a look and see where the nearest mamas and papas is. I don't mind driving to go and have a look, I don't have a clue which pram I want this time. With DC1 we had very little spare cash so had a second hand one from a friend of the family this time round we are in a slightly better place so can within reason pick whichever I want. But now I don't know what I want Blush

wannabebump · 21/04/2020 10:21

Smyths also have a baby section with travel systems etc if you have one near you. Only
Others are the ones that have already been mentioned - John Lewis, mamas and papas for the chains. There are some independent places though, some do just travel systems/Prams, others do all baby things including cots, furniture etc. I'm sad Mothercare has gone too x

Hancock2020 · 21/04/2020 10:30

Apparently though mothercare is coming to boots, in the summer. I dont know if that's only on line or in larger stores as well

overandoverafail · 21/04/2020 10:32

It's such a shame mother care has gone. They had such a big selection! Online shopping is great but it's not the same as going in and actually trying something especially when they cost so much money.

Hancock2020 · 21/04/2020 10:40

@HarrietM87 I keep getting confused with the sex, I keep feeling cold when its warm outside which I did when I was pregnant with ds but then I have NO sex drive which was how I was with dd (but dh doesnt seem interested anyway 🤣)

TangBloodyFastic · 21/04/2020 10:43

@Hancock2020 I'm always cold too!! Assumed it was just because I'm not sleeping well which is making me tired. Is being cold a thing??

FilthyforFirth · 21/04/2020 10:53

I'm so sorry @calimommy. I hope you have lots of real life support.

Pleased to see I am no longer last on the list, welcome @Spoons1987!

Bit of a weird one, but is anyone else noticing more grey hairs?! I am 35 so to be expected and I have had the odd strand for a few years now, but I had to actually brush my hair to leave the house yesterday and noticed loads more! Perhaps its the pressure of lockdown, HG and pregnancy all rolled into one!
