Another new thread for the Nov mums to continue our discussion. It’s nearly time for our dating scans!

@littlegem84 added you on Facebook
now! (Lauren) thank you xx

Audio30 · 20/04/2020 16:44

@FlashesOfRage thank you so much for all the info! It's reassuring to know they have a good system for appointments ☺️ I have to keep reminding myself... Lots of women have twins!
Yep, I had a scan at 7 weeks as ours are the result of fertility treatment (they warned us that we had a higher chance of fraternal twins). But ours are actually mo/di so identical and therefore nothing to do with the treatment! I think a bit riskier than Di/di so I guess the appointments might be different. I'm so anxious I've booked in another scan on Wednesday, just before my booking in appointment on Friday (over the phone). Just so desperate to know they are ok even though I know it doesn't change the outcome! 😕

SqidgeBum · 20/04/2020 17:11

My 16 month old just had an explosive poo out of her nappy, up her back, into her hair, and mid change/strip in preparation for a bath I had to shout to my husband because I had to run out to vomit Blush low moment, definitely.

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/04/2020 17:38

@Pink15 yes all entirely fair points, and if we weren’t in the situation we were in I probably would have got an early scan. I was quite worried for a few weeks and came really close to booking a scan several times. But knowing that in the event it wasn’t viable they likely wouldn’t do anything and would still leave it to it’s natural course I feel like I’d rather not know? If that makes sense. I’m just not thinking about it as a baby as much as possible, just a potential baby I may or may not meet. And yes I agree the 12 weeks is arbitrary, could just as easily be 10 or 8.

Hancock2020 · 20/04/2020 17:52

Slightly worrying, probably for no reason.
But should I be concerned with like a yellowy discharge? No pain or anything anything else, it's just not normally.yellow 😦

Pink15 · 20/04/2020 17:59

@BuffaloCauliflower yes fair enough! Every woman has to do what's best for them and their 'baby' :) I don't think I'll feel properly pregnant tbh until I have a bump and can feel movement! So exciting!

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/04/2020 17:59

@Hancock2020 I’ve had yellow almost green snot like discharge for weeks (yuck) spoke to the doctor and he said it’s fine if there’s no smell or discomfort, just normal cervical changes

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/04/2020 18:00

@Pink15 now I’m wanting to just get a scan again 🙈 waiting is so hard. I’m just trying to be zen

Hancock2020 · 20/04/2020 18:02

@BuffaloCauliflower thank you, that's very reassuring.
Just get me to past 12 weeks maybe I'll stop worrying then lol

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/04/2020 18:04

@Hancock2020 god I hope so! But I fear anxiety is my new state for all time now

Hancock2020 · 20/04/2020 18:12

@Buffalocauliflower I didn't really stress with my other 2, maybe because I was so young and nieve and now I know what can go wrong I'm just worrying about everything.

Rainbowafterthestorm · 20/04/2020 18:13

@Hancock2020, I’m the same, just get to 12 weeks then I might be able to chill a bit. I don’t think working from home is helping either as there is way too much thinking/alone time. I just hope this CV disappears soon and then these next 29 weeks might go a little faster than the last few.

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/04/2020 18:17

@Hancock2020 my first pregnancy ended in early MC last year so my first experience was knowing things can go wrong. But I was also pretty realistic about pregnancy anyway and that not every pregnancy ends perfectly easily with a baby, so it didn’t shock me too much. I’ll be more surprised if things go well.

Hancock2020 · 20/04/2020 18:21

@Buffalocauliflower my 1st pregnancy ended in miscarriage aswell at 7 weeks but still didn't worry so much when I got pregnant with my son. Maybe I'm just weird 😁

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/04/2020 18:41

@Hancock2020 I’d go more with sensible Smile

Spoons1987 · 20/04/2020 19:18

Hi everyone. I’ve lost track of what groups I’ve posted on, as there’s a few for Nov/Dec babies!

My EDD by LMP is 30th Nov. I’ve got a DC already who is 16 months old and I work as a midwife. Broodiness is an occupational hazard so I have quite a few friends of similar age having/trying to have babies!

So pleased that everyone’s scans are providing reassurance. I had one at 6+4 and I’m still feeling relatively relaxed from that.

Pcosandpregnant · 20/04/2020 19:35

@Hancock2020 @BuffaloCauliflower I am so glad you mentioned the discharge! The last few days I’ve had thick yellow mucus like discharge when I wipe and I couldn’t find anything on google to say it was normal! I am so relieved now Grin

HarrietM87 · 20/04/2020 19:52

@BuffaloCauliflower my local hospital is still
offering medical management (ie the pills) and MVA (surgical but local anaesthetic) at the moment, just not ERPC (d&c basically). Just in case that’s the sole reason you’re not going for an early scan - could be worth checking. I looked into it all when I had that scary bleed last week.

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/04/2020 19:54

@HarrietM87 that’s helpful thank you. I keep going and back and forth and the back and forth might just get me all the way to 12+5 and I’ll save myself £80 😂

Eskdale2004 · 20/04/2020 20:17

Tentative hello. I’m 9+4 going by my LMP but think I’m closer to 8+1 as I’m pretty sure I either ov’d twice or ov’d late.

Very skeptical about this pregnancy ending in a baby to be honest. Especially with my date confusion. Didn’t get a faint positive test until 18/3/2020 and they were slow to get dark but we’re very dark by 29/03/2020. I have two DD’s (6 & 10 months) but have also had 3 MC’s including an awful MMC.

novicettc · 20/04/2020 20:47

@Flashesofrage sounds like we are in v similar situations! I'm expecting di/di twins and am likely to have consultant led due to previous LEETZ treatment! I was told at the time that the area they removed was 'large' and to make sure I made hospital aware on any pregnancy in the future. I had a private scan at 8 weeks and am having my 12 week scan next week (when I should be 13 weeks) hoping and praying all will be ok as I have been feeling overall fine and just feel like it's all about too good to be true Hmm

calimommy · 20/04/2020 20:58

Hi all,

Bad news here, baby is bigger than my dates but no heart beat. I have a D&C scheduled. All the best to everyone else.

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/04/2020 21:03

So sorry to hear that @calimommy Sad

MissingMo · 20/04/2020 21:10
