Another new thread for the Nov mums to continue our discussion. It’s nearly time for our dating scans!

Thank you everyone, I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed. It was the pain proceeding the bleed\brightness of bleed that has me anxious but like I said, I'm resigned either way, just want to know now. Thank you for the well wishes!

@Hancock2020 oops! Asking for a friend not on fb?!
@NoseringGirl I think it'll irritate me too but no need for it to really, just can't be added with the comments hah.

Hoping the time flies for those of you awaiting scans tooSmile

SqidgeBum · 19/04/2020 08:42

Good luck with your scan today @Pippop21!

Pippop21 · 19/04/2020 09:06

@SqidgeBum thank you 🥰 xx

FireflyGirl · 19/04/2020 09:11

Good luck with your scan, @Pippop21. Fingers crossed it sets your mind at rest!

WildflowerPetals · 19/04/2020 09:35

@4thTimer I’m thinking we might get these comments too but I’m sure people won’t mean any harm by it. Also, like others have said, if people do the maths, most of us will have conceived in Feb 😊

@Hancock2020 I’ve nearly tagged DH in pregnancy related things before then had to stop myself. Maybe say you were asking for a friend like others have said?

wannabebump · 19/04/2020 09:50

Good luck today @Pippop21

I think we'll get the same comments about a lockdown baby, which will annoy me!! We knew about this pregnancy before social distancing and lockdown 🙄 I'm going to need to come up with a witty response!

Rolly123 · 19/04/2020 09:52

@littlegem84 I have also added you on Facebook. Can I join the group too please?

Using the app is there an easy way to see 'unseen' posts on a thread? At the moment I keep having to try to remember when I was last on and scroll back to that time!

Hancock2020 · 19/04/2020 10:12

This will sound really sad, but I have FB friends and work colleagues but no ACTUAL friends and everybody knows it lol so the friends thing wouldn't work. Only 1 person has contacted me so hopefully I've got away with it lol

Pippop21 · 19/04/2020 10:24

Thanks everyone x

Pcosandpregnant · 19/04/2020 10:35

@Pippop21 good luck today xxx

FireflyGirl · 19/04/2020 10:41

@Hancock2020 DP's sister? Cousin? Wishful thinking/future planning? Grin

If you are just Facebook friends, then they wouldn't know whether you have RL friends or not! You could have become really chummy with your mum's ndn during lockdown?

bluebell94 · 19/04/2020 11:02

@Rolly123 if you swipe a comment to the side there's the option to bookmark where you were at on the appSmile

Has anyone had a change in symptoms? I feel like my nausea and sore boobs have all of a sudden disappeared these past two days. I don't know if it's something to worry about or if I am just being paranoid. I've been really cold this past week too even when we had the nice weather, not sure if that has any relevance or notConfused

Rolly123 · 19/04/2020 11:35

@bluebell94 ahhh thank you! I will try that just now!

BuffaloCauliflower · 19/04/2020 11:42

@rainbows20 my symptoms have been dying our since about week 7, I was really hungover feeling the first few weeks and very sore boobs, then that stopped over a shot period, then I got a load of food aversions for a week or so, that’s now stopped. I’m getting tired in the afternoon but feel mostly fine. Never had any sickness really but some low level nausea. I’ve made a couple of posts about it and had lots of reassurance from other women who haven’t had a lot of symptoms or they’ve died off quite early. I do worry, yes, it’s hard not to, bit I also know everyone’s bodies react differently to the hormones and my mum had easy pregnancies so could well be a genetic element. I’m just trying to be calm because worrying or not won’t make any difference to the outcome

Pcosandpregnant · 19/04/2020 11:50

@rainbows20 I’m the same. I’m 8/8.5 weeks and the last few days I’ve just felt normal for the first time since I found out. My boobs haven’t been anywhere near as sore as they were. And I don’t seem to be getting the cramping as much anymore, I’m not as bloated but I am also not as constipated. I still sometimes feel nauseous and my food aversions are still there. I was quite upset yesterday but spoke to my friend and sister who have recently had babies and they said it’s completely normal and your body has probably just got used to it and you just don’t notice it as much.

MissingMo · 19/04/2020 12:10

@rainbows20 my symptoms went down at about 7.5 weeks but they've come back now and I'm 10wks today. I think these things come and go and wouldn't be too worried. Some people have them for a little while and sometimes they last.

rainbows20 · 19/04/2020 12:20

Thank you so much for your replies. It's so weird isn't it how it just goes. But yes I guess it could also come back it's only been a couple of days. I think it's just such a worrying time for everyone before the scan your mind goes into overdrive

Rainbowafterthestorm · 19/04/2020 12:42

@rainbows20, I’m the same. I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, I’ve had quite a few worried days over the past month or so, where I’ve felt the symptoms have decreased or even gone, but a couple of days later they come back with a vengeance! I don’t seem to be as tired either! :)

HarrietM87 · 19/04/2020 13:08

I think my worst week for sickness was when I was 8 weeks. I expected it to ramp up more but it kind of tailed off at 9 weeks, then came back with a vengeance at 10 weeks. I’m 11 weeks today and the sickness seems less bad and sore boobs fading but I’m still so exhausted. I’ve come to bed now for a snooze when my toddler naps - heaven!

BuffaloCauliflower · 19/04/2020 13:17

@rainbows20 it certainly is worrying. I have no reason to think everything isn’t ok but I also don’t want to be drawn into a false sense of security when I know there is a chance (albeit small) of getting to the scan and finding out things aren’t ok. I don’t think any women makes it through pregnancy without even some anxiety, it natural really when we’re pretty much programmed to protect our young at all costs

Jen1311 · 19/04/2020 13:27

Hi everyone, I’m new here but have been following the November baby thread from afar! I’m due 17th Nov so about 9+5 weeks now. Just wanted to join and say I’m also feeling pretty rough nausea wise, this is my 3rd baby but there will be an 11 year gap between my youngest and this one and man am I feeling the difference ‘age wise’ this time around!! Had my first 2 in my early twenties and don’t remember the tiredness and nausea being this bad!! I’ve also got a UTR that flared up yesterday (I suffer with them a lot anyway) but not sure what to do about it this time. Need to drink more, but that’s making me feel even more sick so can’t win either way! Don’t want to ring 111 to get out of hours appointment because I’m not sure I will even get one, so might stick it out until tomorrow when I can call the doctors and maybe drop a sample in? I have my bloods on Tuesday so really don’t want to keep going back and forwards to doctors when I’m supposed to be isolating. It’s all a bit strange doctors and appointment wise at the moment isn’t it?! Anyway, hope everyone is safe and well xx

EBM20 · 19/04/2020 13:46

Jen1311 I'm due the same day! I had a UTI a few weeks back just after they announced lockdown and my partner had to drop a sample in for me, it was strict instruction for me not to go in. Same with the prescription I was told for my partner to go and collect. I had really bad sickness up until Tuesday this week, since then I've not even felt nauseous!

Jen1311 · 19/04/2020 14:00

@EBM20 Yay for same dates!! I think I will call doctors in the morning and have a sample ready to be dropped in. Not really keen on antibiotics during pregnancy but need it to be gone now as I’m very uncomfortable 😣 This isn’t helping with the sickness tbh, feel pretty sorry for myself so praying for it to ease off soon. Just glad I’m working from home at the moment so I can get away with not telling everyone- everyone looks a bit ropey on Zoom calls anyway so managed to get away with it so far!! Xx

calimommy · 19/04/2020 16:04

@Jen1311 it is important to treat the UTI infection as it can cause miscarriage/premature labour. So in that light the antibiotics are your friend during pregnancy.
