Just had a call from the community midwife reminding me that I've got an appointment on Tuesday and that there's been a change of location. Only me allowed so OH will have to wait in the car.

Better than I expected, I was expecting a phone appointment with everything going on. So glad to be face to face, just unfortunate I'll be on my own again.

Mimba1 · 17/04/2020 13:32

@DressingGown87 I keep waking up at 5am as well! I have that moment of joy ("Yesssss!!! There's still enough time to go back to sleep!!!) followed by an hour of fidgeting until my alarm goes off for real. And then I'm sat at my desk yawning because I'm tired.

Your dreams sound really difficult to deal with - speaking to your counsellor sounds like a really good idea. I hope it helps. I'm remembering my dreams a lot better but they aren't particularly riveting. Last night I spent the whole night loading and unloading the dishwasher in my sleep. Such a disappointment that it still needed doing when I got up.

AnxiousLady1 · 17/04/2020 13:40

I had a dream the other night that I was married to Joe Exotic...

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2020 13:48

@AnxiousLady1 😂😂😂 that got me. How was it?! 🙈

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2020 13:48

I had a dream the other night I was in a massive tunnel with tigers everywhere. Think too much Tiger King on the brain.

AnxiousLady1 · 17/04/2020 13:52

@Treaclepie19 Even in the dream I was confused as he still had two other husbands. 😂

1stbabs · 17/04/2020 13:52

@DressingGown87 gosh they sound really stressful. It's horrible when you wake up and aren't quite sure what's going on too.. thinking you can hear them must be really upsetting. I think I'm going to speak to my counsellor about it too next session. I also struggle to get back to sleep as well, such a pain

@AnxiousLady1 haha that's also a nightmare really 😂😂 probably a very interesting dream though!

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2020 13:53

😂 sounds about right @AnxiousLady1!
Ugh. I just remembered the padlocks for his Prince Albert...

didslysquiddlydoo · 17/04/2020 14:27

@Treaclepie19 @AnxiousLady1 I had a dream that my house got broken into to steal all of my tigers!! We are all clearly watching FAR too much tiger king 😂

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2020 14:31

@didslysquiddlydoo 😂
Im quite gutted it's finished 🙈

DressingGown87 · 17/04/2020 14:36

@Mimba1 I think today is the only day I’ve managed to get back to sleep. I’m WFH, so can be flexible with my hours, but I’m just so tired. Feel sorry for you nodding off at your desk. I’m not a morning person 😭 That dream made me laugh.

I’m thinking / trying to kid myself that my dreams are programming me for that interrupted sleep again.

@1stbabs hopefully they can shed some light on them. I just wish I could sleep, so I felt more motivated in the daytime.

😂😂 chuckling at all these tiger dreams!!

Doughnut100 · 17/04/2020 14:56

Love that everyone is dreaming of tigers! If anyone is looking for something to fill the Joe Exotic shaped hole in their life I've been watching The Nest and The Split on BBC iPlayer. Both really gripping drama although the split is quite depressing as it's about divorce so steer clear if you need happy thoughts! The nest is about surrogacy so it's about ttc and quite thought provoking - but there is a mc in it if anyone doesn't want to think about that. Xx

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2020 14:59

@Doughnut100 I never thought I'd need something to fill a Joe Exotic shaped hole but there we are. I'm an addict 🐯🙈
I'll check them out!

Me and my 4yo have done NOTHING this afternoon. He is playing his tablet and watching Dino Dan. I'm looking at baby stuff 😳

Mimba1 · 17/04/2020 16:06

So I've been holding it together pretty well so far. Worried, but normal worried if that makes sense and had decided to wait until NHS 12 wk scan (I think I'm 7+6 today). Suddenly this afternoon I've gone into full on panic and sure something is wrong. If I went for an early scan now would it show me anything or do I risk ending up in limbo if my dates are a bit off (before my MC in Jan I had irregular cycles and I got a really faint positive at what should've been 4+6 on LMP)? I don't know which is worse... DH says to do what I think is best but I can't even think straight to decide.

AnxiousLady1 · 17/04/2020 16:16

@Doughnut100 I loved the Nest!

@Mimba1 At 7+6 you would definitely see something. I believe a heartbeat can be picked up from 6, so unless you are really far behind with dates. I went for a private scan at 7+6 and saw everything incl heartbeat.

DressingGown87 · 17/04/2020 16:17

@mimba1 I had scans at 6,7,8,10 and 12 weeks all through the NHS EPAU though, as reassurance due to my previous mmc and fertility issues. Each of the scans gave me some reassurance that everything was ok, and you can could see something (although not very easy to make out) and a heartbeat on all of them, even though it was early on. I’ve got to say though that whilst the reassurance was great, it was short lived everytime, and the anxiety kept creeping back through. Do what feels right, if your worried then have a scan.

Avocuddles · 17/04/2020 16:47

Thanks all for making me a little more normal about our lack of sex / BD / DTD! @Mimba1 I do know what you mean and we've been similar!

@DressingGown87 @1stbabs sorry to hear about your bad dreams, I hope it's just a phase as they sound awful.

Ahhhh Tiger King! It was a great fun watch and probably exactly what everyone needs at the moment though I'm quite glad Joe Exotic hasn't entered my dreams yet!
@Doughnut100 I've been enjoying The Nest too, and The Split is on my watch list so might start that soon.

Just had my 16 week midwife phone appointment. Was a bit of a waste of time really but on the plus side found out that all my various blood results were good. Feel sad to have missed out on the opportunity to hear the heartbeat but trying to remain patient until next scan on May 11th!

AliSxo · 17/04/2020 16:55

Hey girls hope everyone is well, I'm 4+6 and I had some creamy CM which I have read is normal in pregnancy but it freaked me out a bit as I was worried it had a dark tinge but it didn't. It's just thrown me off as I had some stingy mild cramps and as I was washing "down there" in the bath my "front entrance" felt like it was swollen. I've come to bed for a little lie down but I'm just worried about anything bad happening xx

SunStruck · 17/04/2020 17:04

@MrsMGE haha work damaged! 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

SunStruck · 17/04/2020 17:06

@Avocuddles great to hear you had good test results! That much have been a relief.... here's to healthy pregnancies 🥂 (alcohol free fizz 😁😁)

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2020 17:16

Ooh alcohol free fizz. I have some in the fridge and am oddly nervous about it?! 😩

Glad all was well @Avocuddles. I felt the same with my 16w appointment. They don't listen to the heartbeat at 16 weeks anyway though in my area so I suppose I'm not as fussed.

Aria2015 · 17/04/2020 19:38

Hey, I've been avoiding this thread for the last week because I've been in such a state over my high risk result I didn't want to look at anything pregnancy related! But I'm happy to say that I got my harmony test results back today and they're low risk 1:10,000! To say I'm a relieved is an understatement! I feel like I've won the lottery! I also found out I'm having a girl! I'd have been delighted either way but it will be lovely to have a girl! I'm hoping now I can relax a bit. I'm 15 weeks and I really want to try and enjoy being pregnant for once!

Doughnut100 · 17/04/2020 20:39

@Aria2015 congratulations, what wonderful news! What a rollercoaster. What kind of test was your original high risk result from? And congratulations about having a girl - I would also be thrilled with that news!

Aria2015 · 17/04/2020 21:03

@Doughnut100 thanks. The high risk result came from my combined screening. My bloods (high hcg) plus my age (38) came out 1/110 and 1/150 is the cut off for the high risk group. I know it doesn't sound too bad but having been on the wrong side of pregnancy odds more than once having had 3 miscarriages, I take little comfort from them. Plus I think I'm Just so used to getting bad news that I managed to convince myself that was what was going to happen. The harmony test has been worth every penny for the reassurance that it's given me.

Treaclepie19 · 17/04/2020 21:16

Lovely news @Aria2015 :)
