Anyone else finding their cramps are so much worse when they sit and relax? I’m 4+5 today and have been at work for 9’hours. Got home and sat down for half an hour and they have just started SOOOO badly! Not sharp pains just aching like period ache still 😭

Mrsirvine · 15/04/2020 18:51

@Beccarans89 I was just glad to hear you’re sickness is here this week at 7 weeks. I’ve been panicking I haven’t got enough symptoms! Lol I won’t get my first scan until 12-14 weeks usually but I’ve booked a private scan for next week !! Xx

Mrsirvine · 15/04/2020 18:53

@Lemondropsandgumdrops fantastic pics - delighted your scan went well 😍 xxx

LuLaLaLa · 15/04/2020 18:55

Argh ladies 6 weeks today. Constant cramps and ache on the left hand side and a little pinky discharge this afternoon. I can’t decide if to call epu or sit tight? This virus makes me think epu won’t do much at the moment

Bassbeh17 · 15/04/2020 19:22

@LuLaLaLa I hope you’re ok. It is always disconcerting but 🤞🏼 Just part of the process!

I realised my aches and pains were probably from being busy for the whole day then just sitting down when I got in and I was also starving so I walked around the house for a while, made a hot water bottle and had dinner and it seems to have eased off now.....phew!

ChampooPapi · 15/04/2020 19:25

@RyanStartedTheFire @hatepickinganame ladies definitely phone a few days before those booking in appointments. Mine was face to face next Wednesday z I phoned this morning and got a voicemail this afternoon in response to say it's now over the phone.

They didn't let me know so don't hold your breaths. The last thing you guys want is to turn up and them not to know what's going on or to go into a hospital or practice unnecessarily.

Fingers crossed they are because then they can do bloods ect, but alot are doing the appointment over the phone and then you go in later in the day for bloods and urine sample to make it quicker.

Just a heads up to check everything during this time, as the NHS is only going to get more intensely stretched o er the next few months

RyanStartedTheFire · 15/04/2020 19:29

champoo ours is so far face to face as my sister has just had hers in the past few days at a local children's centre, I assume to increase distancing from GP surgery which is where it's normally held which makes sense. She's had her 16 week appointment cancelled though. So annoying they didn't let you know. I haven't even phoned to schedule mine yet as I'm still very early and have a while to go until 8 weeks so it all could have changed by then!

ChampooPapi · 15/04/2020 19:40

@RyanStartedTheFire that was lucky for her, it's so much better face to face that is for sure.

Definitely double check after you've scheduled yours still, a fair few women seem to have turned up to be told no one knows anything and then they've proceeded to miss the phone call appointment as they are out and driving home ect

RyanStartedTheFire · 15/04/2020 19:44

@Champoopapi Yes, it is nicer to see each other face to face and using the closed children's centre makes it a bit safer than going to a GP surgery or hospital so fingers crossed it continues as I'll be having another high risk pregnancy with lots to discuss which is really hard over the phone.
I'll definitely be ringing to check beforehand though, thank you for the heads up. Seems like a lot of things are unfortunately slipping between the cracks.

Rosie399 · 15/04/2020 20:06

I’ve been invited to a hen do in late October - I think I may be around 33 weeks. Not got all the details about what it may involve - should I say yes to going? I’ve obviously not told anyone I’m pregnant so have no real reason to say no either ...

Mrsallen17 · 15/04/2020 20:27

@rosie is it a close friend or family? If not I don’t think I’d spend the money on a weekend where it’s not going to be aimed at heavily pregnant women! 🙈

@ChampooPapi my midwife today said my bloods and urine tests will be done at 12 weeks with my scan as I just had it over the phone today. She said there wasn’t any risk to this. 🤞

YahBasic · 15/04/2020 20:40

Almost a bit embarrassed to admit this, but it’s my first pregnancy and I’m really confused at how many weeks/days pregnant I actually am 🙈

Different calculators are telling me different things.

The first day of my last period was 7th March and my cycles are normally about 33 days - how many weeks & days pregnant am I today??

Some are saying 4+6, others 5+3 and another one said 6+!! All saying due date of Dec 17th though.

Can anyone help??

LuLaLaLa · 15/04/2020 20:56

@YahBasic you count from the first day of your last period so count from 7 March which would make you about 5 weeks off the top of my head

YahBasic · 15/04/2020 21:04

Thanks @LuLaLaLa - so I’d be 5+4 today?

Why am I struggling so much with basic maths 😂

Hatepickinganame · 15/04/2020 21:10

@YahBasic my last period was 9th march, im 5+3 so youd be 5+5 i think.

Russellknight1989 · 15/04/2020 22:06

Hi ladies.
I’m new to this. Never posted anything before! I have Jist this evening tested positive with my first pregnancy. 😊 I’m 31 and didn’t think it would happen so quickly! Feeling very shocked, apprehensive, happy all sorts of emotions! Obviously if all goes to plan it’ll be a December baby too!
I think I’m about 4 weeks 3 days.. so very very early one!

Please be kind to me.. all this is so new to me.

Xxxxx

Beccarans89 · 15/04/2020 22:56

@Mrsirvine yep sickness has literally started this week and I'm not being sick, just feel sick for a lot of the day! It's funny how symptoms come and go at different times isn't it! That's exciting about an early scan, definitely worth it I think!

Thank you beccarans89 💗

Congratulations to you too xx

ElsaCC · 15/04/2020 23:46

Just found out today I'm about 6 weeks. Signed up for the midwife but have no clue how long it'll take for the first appointment as it's my first🤔
Anyone has any clue with this all covid-19 business roughly how long I have to wait for the referral? (Before I start panicking and harassing people 🤭)

Mrsallen17 · 16/04/2020 06:58

@ElsaCC I called my doctor Monday and had my midwife yesterday. Think it all depends where you are though. Mine were all done over the phone too

LuLaLaLa · 16/04/2020 08:19

In my area you can self refer to the midwife and bypass the doctor. I haven’t called yet but I’m only 6 + 4. They do a booking in appointment about 10 weeks and then give you your scan appointment there. Scan is for 12 weeks but last time I was almost 14 weeks before I got it.

Lots of cramps today. Tummy is bloated and gurgling away. Thankfully no more bleeding. I’m actually thankful I can hide away in the house for these early weeks and not have to go to work!

Babydance255 · 16/04/2020 08:56

@ElsaCC I rang my drs at 4 weeks and they told me call back at 7 weeks & then I will have my consultation over the phone & 8 weeks (but I didn't like that answer).
So, I rang my community Midwives the next day & then I have a call back the same day from the midwife at my GP & she told all my details ask if I was on medication & last period etc... Then she said I will get a call in a few weeks for my consultation. That made me feel better because I am now on the system xx

Hatepickinganame · 16/04/2020 08:58

Morning all, think i can finally stop doing tests now, had another CB digi delivered this morning and the weeks have changed to 3+ so i think its time to stop and try to relax a little. Anyone else tested again or am i the only crazy person 😂

Jadey31 · 16/04/2020 09:59

Hi ladies!

Excited to say this .. mind if I join?! 🙈🤣

BFP this morning however I have kind of known for a week as I've just felt 'different'. I've had period cramps for a week (I was due my period a week ago) I usually get cramps as I come on so a weird feeling that the pains for a week! I also have really sore boobs, loss of appetite and not sleeping well at night.

So this morning my clear blue came up as pregnant 2-3 weeks! DH and I are so excited. We've been trying since June 2019 and was starting to worry!

I have since logged onto the Ovia app and gone onto the NHS website and I'm actually 5 weeks and 3 days?! The app thinks I'm due 14th December.

What are my next steps does anyone know? When do I get in touch when the doctors? So much to think about

😍❤️
