@MrsB2019x I am so so sorry to hear this! Sending my love 💐♥️

zscaler · 15/04/2020 11:00

Hello! I’m due 15 Dec. Currently feeling fine, no symptoms at all - hoping that’s not something I need to worry about! Hope everyone is doing well.

Hello! Hoping to join if I may?! I am just 5 weeks now (feeling very anxious, this was so longed for and now it's here, 9 months feels like a lifetime!

I'm trying to avoid Google, I had really sore boobs for the last few weeks, but suddenly yesterday they feel just like normal again which I thought was odd. I think I'm just wondering what symptoms everyone else has experienced so far?

Oh, and also, excuse my silliness but what does the + refer to in dates people refer too? I've seen lots of examples such as 5+2... thank you in advanced.

Hope you are all well, take care!

zscaler · 15/04/2020 11:33

Hello @Joinedin2020 and congratulations!

I’m exactly 5 weeks and no symptoms at all, which I have been reassured (on another thread) is very normal.

The + dates are days I think, so 5+2 means five weeks and two days. I think it’s mainly for early stage pregnancy where everything changes very quickly so the days make a big difference!

@zscaler Many Congratulations!! And thank you, that would explain it BlushSmile

It's reassuring to know and I know every pregnancy is different I think I just worried because it seemed to come and go. The hardest thing is not googling!

viixie · 15/04/2020 12:22

Hi everyone can I join? My last period was 11th March. Was due on last Wednesday but didn't come, took a pregnancy test today and it's positive, it came up in about ten seconds. This will be my third pregnancy but not planned. I feel really selfish but I'm really stressed. It just feels like bad timing with everything happening in the world. Am I being silly ? I feel so worried. I also booked my wedding for April 2021 and don't know how I'll manage getting back into my dress and with a baby. Sorry I sound like such a whinge x

2108Ta · 15/04/2020 12:27

@Joinedin2020 @zscaler I’m the same ladies. Has sensitive boobs to begin with, all the tummy cramps and only felt sick with a very strong sense of smell but as of Monday this week, I feel absolutely normal. Even today my bloated tummy has gone down 🤷🏽‍♀️ No blood though so I’m just taking in my stride until I have a scan and my first midwife appointment next month🤞🏼🤞🏼

Deb86 · 15/04/2020 12:28

Oh @Mrsirvine 3rd c section, that's tough. I had am emergency one with my 1st, this is my 2nd and to be honest I am thinking of requesting one this time. I know it's a long way off though and want to enjoy the pregnancy. How is everyone feeling? I'm a bit sicky and picky on what to eat but apart from that all good. Was like that with the 1st too. Only thing I am dreading is the pelvic pain, had it terrible last time.
Delighted for everyone xx

Bassbeh17 · 15/04/2020 13:34

@2108Ta I’m the same today too! My cramps are a lot less today and I’ve finally got rid of the constipation I’ve had for a few days so now my bloats gone down and just normal bloating after eating! Plus I’m in a new non wired bra today so feeling pretty normal! I did hear that it comes and goes a lot at the beginning so I’m not really surprised! Unless I get bleeding or go to an appointment and am told to worry then I’m just going with it for now! I figured the less I stress the better for the baby anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️
Although, as much as I don’t want to be at work right now it takes my mind off of everything so if I had all day to stress I would probably be saying something different!!

2108Ta · 15/04/2020 13:45

@Bassbeh17
Yeah I’ve heard more and more of this over the past two days so I’m not letting it worry me too me now. The cramps, painful boobs and sickness seems to have gone and It’s been replaced with heart-burn, constipation and dizziness 😅 so I just hope something is still going on in there 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m trying my best to keep focused on working from home and it’s not too bad at the moment so 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Mrsirvine · 15/04/2020 14:35

@AnxiousandImpatient i think it’s nice not having the uncertainty but at the same time I wouldn’t choose an elective csec for that reason iykwim. It’s just one of them things I accept. Altho when I know people in real life because they tend to go over , people around my due date I’ve normally got a one month old when they’re having theirs and it is nice to have it over me lol. It’s good you’re excited xxx

Mrsirvine · 15/04/2020 14:37

@Deb86 yeah this will be my third all being well. I think an elective csec is a whole different ball game to some that end in emergency. My sections have been very calm and lovely . My second was even better experience than my first. I’m a bigger girl but I am quite active and I was up and outta the bed after a couple of hours showering myself and bathing my second baby. I was flying, hope this time is as good xxx

Beccarans89 · 15/04/2020 14:39

Just had my booking in appointment with the midwife over the phone - she was very reassuring and felt nice to get things going. Should receive a scan date in the most in the next week or so.

The nausea has come on this week with a vengeance 🙈 not fancying much food at all and haven't been sick, but feeling really sicky, usually afternoons and evenings. Hope everyone is doing ok! X

Congrats @viixie and @zscaler! Lovely news!

Girls I have very few symptoms , bloated and sore back. Other than that, nothing . I had severe hyperemesis before so would have expected something by now ! Fingers crossed I’m just not gonna get it!

I did my booking in with my gp today who dated me at 6weeks. It was done over the phone , I was in last month so they have all the info they need, just be a matter now of hearing from midwife. Eeeekkkk xxx

Mrsirvine · 15/04/2020 14:40

@Beccarans89 brill! How far along are you? Xx

Beccarans89 · 15/04/2020 15:20

@mrsirvine I'm 7+4 today, we're slowly getting there with these weeks but still feels forever to make it to 12!

That's good you've got things started with the GP, hopefully you hear from the midwife soon!

Hatepickinganame · 15/04/2020 15:27

Its so weird how different areas are doing things so differently, my booking in appointment is in 2 weeks but its face to face at my surgery as normal. Makes me wonder why mine arent over the phone, although im happy with normal appointments! 5+3 today and nausea is really starting to kick in. Trying very hard not to overeat as last time i went up 3 sizes after giving birth and it took me years to lose it all!

Mrsallen17 · 15/04/2020 16:27

I had a phone GP appointment Monday and my midwife appointment over the phone today. I think I’m 5+5 but she’s saying 6 +3. I have my scan to follow in the post and my 16 weeks booked in - hopefully face to face by then. 6 more weeks seems so far away so thinking of an early scan in two weeks time... it’s such a hurdle. Every twinge or little cramp is scary and I keep grabbing my boobs to make sure they still hurt 🙈

Lemondropsandgumdrops · 15/04/2020 16:46

Ignore how messy it looks as I’ve had to scribble out my details but scan at EPU went well. Baby had a heartbeat which I could see on the screen and the doctor told me she had no concerns. I had to change my 12 week scan date as that was meant to be 7th May but I knew due to long cycles I’d only be about 9 weeks then which EPU confirmed I’m only 6 weeks now, so scan is at the end of May now instead. Shame I have to wait longer to see baby but am pleased I got reassurance today :)

I've just found out my booking appointment is a face to face one too hatepickinganame because they're doing bloods at the same time.

RyanStartedTheFire · 15/04/2020 16:51

Excellent news Lemon congratulations! Shame you have to wait longer but great that all looks OK.

Joinedin2020 · 15/04/2020 16:52

@lemondropsandgumdrops That's amazing, so pleased for you! I have an early scan booked in for two weeks time, this is my first pregnancy so feeling very anxious about it. Though the reassurance would help!

Lemondropsandgumdrops · 15/04/2020 16:57

Thanks guys :)

@Joinedin2020 how far along will you be at your private scan? I had a private one with my first at 7+4 and I was surprised how much we could see, got to see the little heart really beating away and even though baby was still quite ‘blob’ like it was easy to see where the baby was! Good luck and hope you enjoy it :)

Bex1001 · 15/04/2020 17:58

Hi everyone! Decided I should try and find some new friends as I think I'm about 5/6 weeks with my first and haven't a scooby with what's going on. Unplanned and a couple of years earlier than planned with OH! Based on the NHS date calculator I think I'm due 8th December. Currently not into food at all which is heartbreaking 😂

Hatepickinganame · 15/04/2020 18:12

@lemondropsandgumdrops thats amazing news 😊 im still undecided on if i should book an early scan or just wait it out for another 6 weeks...

Is everyone starting to get symptoms now? My boobs are so painful im considering burning all my bras, im very bloated, nausea seems to fade in and out, was really bad earlier but i feel better now. And ive completely gone off cheese 😂
