Anxiousandinpatient I always bloat in early pregnancy, and constipation kicks in around 4-5 weeks with the prenatal vitamins. I usually find that drinking cooled boiled water with a little bit of lemon helps. This is my 3rd pregnancy. I'm roughly 6 weekly today based on my LMP.

Is anybody else having period like cramps? And I know its physically impossible, but I can feel some sort of fluttering. Baby is the size of a seed now so I know it isnt movements, just wondered what else it could be. It isn't the usual bloating pains, it's literally little flutters and I have quite a noticeable tightened lower stomach area. Is this common for 3rd baby?

Thanks x

Jasminex1 · 21/04/2020 19:05

@AnxiousandImpatient I'm 5+2 and first baby too, feeling exactly the same! The thought of wearing anything remotely tight is awful

@Babydust1921 I've also got cramps too which I've had since last Sunday, hoping they ease off soon!

Babydust1921 · 21/04/2020 19:09

@Jasminex1 not nice are they :( I don't remember this with my first and second, however, my eldest in almost 9 and my youngest is 4 so it's been a while. The midwife said everything will seem exaggerated at the moment too because were over thinking due to more spare time than ever.

I'm a teacher and I'm so used to busy days, being at home during lockdown with very little to do is making me question every cramp, headache and nausea. Haha.

Jasminex1 · 21/04/2020 19:13

@Babydust1921 they really aren't! I definitely think that's the case, I'm working from home and don't really notice it, but as soon as I sit down for the evening it's like I start noticing them again! Have you had many other signs? I'm mainly tired and headaches and am torn between wanting the nausea to happen but also wanting it to stay away 😂

Babydust1921 · 21/04/2020 19:18

@Jasminex1 I have everything! Nausea, headaches, extremely sore boobs! Bloating, cramps, major breakout of spots. Everything has hit me so much harder this time around haha. I feel like I can't stop eating until i feel sick, I've gained half a stone in 2 weeks, and all I want is salt. I think it is mainly due to the stress of lockdown and teaching virtually from home, whilst homeschooling my own two.

But, twins also run in the family so there is also that possibility. Haha. I guess still have to wait until my 12 week scan to find out :)

Babydust1921 · 21/04/2020 19:19

Salt as in the ingredient, not speech and language hahaha

Jasminex1 · 21/04/2020 19:25

@Babydust1921 maybe it could be twins, how exciting! I still haven't heard back from either my gp or midwife so I'm still not really sure what to expect or know what's normal, it's making me wonder whether I should tell my mum but we weren't planning on revealing to anyone just yet! Taking my guidance from all of you at the moment!

AnxiousandImpatient · 21/04/2020 22:10

@Babydust1921 thanks for the suggestions I'll give it a go. I was taking pregnacare conception and now on the normal pregnacare and I always feel more bloated after.

@Jasminex1 I honestly don't want to wear ANYTHING. Just so uncomfortable in 99%of clothing.

Jasminex1 · 22/04/2020 11:12

@AnxiousandImpatient I definitely understand. Im also finding it so uncomfortable to sleep when I feel so bloated, I'm a front sleeper and goodness knows how I'll sleep when I get a bump!😂

AnxiousandImpatient · 22/04/2020 11:25

@Jasminex1 - I'm the exact same. I haven't slept well for the past 4-5 nights, as finding it tough to get comfy. I always sleep on my front, and have no idea what I am going to do to get comfy as baby gets bigger.

Hatepickinganame · 22/04/2020 11:49

How is everyone doing? Ive just had a call from one of the community midwives, my appointment next week is currently being rescheduled for a phone appointment. Didnt realise how upset i would be about that, i actually cried. I know its the dame for everyone but hearing how the appointments and antenatal care is being planned out makes it scary real! For anyone that was due a face to face (i remember there was more than me) definitely call and check!

PBailey20 · 22/04/2020 20:01

@hatepickinganame I had a similar call today. I was meant to go into the surgery on the 11th May but was told my booking appointment would now be done over the phone next Thursday. She also said that I would still attend the surgery just for bloods. On the whole a really positive conversation. I know what you mean about feeling disappointed that things are a bit odd at the moment but I guess we will just have to roll with it Smile

jtc19 · 22/04/2020 20:02

@Hatepickinganame That's exactly how I felt, so disappointing having to do it all over the phone they said I can't come in til it's time for the 12week scan x

Hatepickinganame · 22/04/2020 20:25

@PBailey20 @jtc19 i was told all my bloods etc will now be done at my scans, so no 16 week app with a midwife either. And she started asking about how i feel about thw virus, i think she meant to be reassuring but she scared me more 🙄

jtc19 · 22/04/2020 23:15

@Hatepickinganame it's so upsetting but not a lot we can do, but honestly would have been a lot better if we could have the regular face to face appointments just for reassurance really x

Smiling89 · 23/04/2020 03:20

Hello! Just found out I'm pregnant on Tuesday - the line on the pregnancy test couldn't have appeared any faster than it did! Due date calculator puts me at 22nd December (eek!).

I'm going to call the doctors tomorrow to get the ball rolling. Anyone else up at 3am because of cramping?

Jasminex1 · 23/04/2020 08:16

@Smiling89 congratulations! I think my due date is 21st December according to the calculator so nearly DD twins!

For the past week I've had cramps in the night that woke me up, just one or two times in the night and the intensity lasted just a minute or so, but I still feel less intense period-like cramps some of the time during the day/night too 🤷🏼‍♀️

I called my doctor when I found out and they took my details, but I still haven't heard back nearly a week later, so 🤞🏼 for something soon!

Pettirosso · 23/04/2020 12:11

@Jasminex1 ah Christmas babies. How exciting!

It might reassure you that I due on 5 December and only had my booking-in appointment with the midwife last week (over the phone) ...

Perhaps it’s different in my area but I had to self refer on the website of my local hospital rather than through the gp. It might be worth checking if that’s also an option for you? Or just chasing up through the gp. Nothing to lose by being persistent

Jasminex1 · 23/04/2020 12:26

@Pettirosso thanks for the advice! I just gave them a call and got told something completely different 🙄 but I think I should be getting a call next Wednesday! I'm assuming that it's all going to be over the phone until the first scan unless they get me in earlier for bloods

leblondie · 23/04/2020 19:05

Hi everyone! I’m 5weeks +2days in my first pregnancy. I had a bit of pain for a few days around the 4 week mark. It was just on one side which made me worried that it was ectopic but the doctor said that they weren’t worried but to call again if it got worse. It’s completely stopped now but, ridiculously, I can’t help worrying that I’m not pregnant anymore?! Trying to resist the urge to take yet another test (this would be number 5). Has anyone else had this sort of thing? I know I’m probably worrying over nothing and it’s all magnified because we’re waiting until after the first scan to tell anyone so I don’t have any friends or family to vent to!

MommyPum · 23/04/2020 21:53

Hey! I have and I went to see my gynae at 5 weeks 2days. Baby was fine and in the uterus. Don't worry too much.

leblondie · 23/04/2020 23:09

@MommyPum thank you! That’s good to hear. I think I’ll relax a bit once I’ve had my first scan. Wish they done them earlier here (first scan is at 12 weeks in Scotland!).

Lily501 · 24/04/2020 17:56

Congratulations to all the new joiners!

How is everyone feeling today??

Anyone else have a really uncomfortable 'full' feeling? I've had that and nausea badly for the first time alllllll day today, just can't get comfy at all.

Already can't wait to be in the 'glowing' stage! Grin

Hatepickinganame · 24/04/2020 18:47

@lily501 yes to the full feeling, but then im eating everything in sight to stop the nausea 😂

MommyPum · 24/04/2020 18:59

@Lily501 Thank you so much.
I've just been sleepy and tired. No nausea at all which scares me a little. Keeping positive and I can't wait to meet my Baba in December.
