Hi all, hope you don't mind if I join. Had our BFP 2 days ago, quite surprised but delighted and now nervous. This is #2 for us, and I think I'm about 4 weeks. Feeling a bit dizzy and bleugh today - that might just be the huge bar of galaxy I just ate thoughConfused.

@vegisaurus I've had a little bit of brown spotting too, I'm figuring as it's old blood and infrequent it's hopefully nothing to worry about. Like you I've not had any increase in cramping. It is natural to worry though isn't it. I keep expecting the worst every time I go to the loo.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Lockdown is making it easier to hide that I'm not drinking! Although a beer in the sunshine seems a million times more appealing now I can't have one.

Whiffle77 · 17/04/2020 14:44

I got some sickness bands too @Hatepickinganame not sure whether they are helping or not, I think they are. I feel like I've been reading in the car, it's that sort of nauseous...worse when I let myself get hungry too so I keep eating crackers.
Gone completely off coffee too, was drinking lots of decaffeinated but I feel awful just thinking about drinking it! Gutted

Hatepickinganame · 17/04/2020 14:50

@Whiffle77 thats exactly the feeling, the reading in the car kind of sick 🤢 i figured the bands cant make it any worse at least lol so fingers crossed they help, i cant spend the next 6 to 8 weeks on the sofa feeling sorry for myself 😂😂😂

Whiffle77 · 17/04/2020 14:55

It's horrible isn't it! It's only come on in the last few days too so it's taken me a little by surprise! Hoping there isn't too much else I have gone off, certain foods make me feel a bit rough thinking about them too - and i am a huge foodie!

Charlottejade89 · 17/04/2020 15:13

Hello can I join? Had a positive test this morning, but I cant remember when my last period was (I'm really bad at making a note of the date) but I just had a feeling I was late so took a test this morning and it was positive. went and got a clear blue after and it said 1-2 weeks so I'm guessing I'm 3 or 4 weeks. this is my second baby Smile

Mrsirvine · 17/04/2020 16:04

Thank you everyone . You’re all so kind. I wish you all very happy successful pregs xxxx

Katy1220 · 17/04/2020 17:15

Hi all,
I'm 5+3 after trying for 4 and a half years! Still can't quite believe it's happening. Got there with one month of Letrozole in the end.
Nice to be in a Dec 20 group Smile

Mrsirvine · 17/04/2020 17:16

@katy1220 that is amazing ! Bet it feels surreal xx

Katy1220 · 17/04/2020 17:32

@Mrsirvine yes completely! Hoping it will feel more real after scan on 27th.

Captainchaos8 · 17/04/2020 17:45

Hi, I'm 4+3 with baby number 8. I've had 3 early miscarriages in the last 2 years so I'm not overly confident how this pregnancy will go. Not told anyone yet! Could I join the Facebook group please?I think I'm due December 22nd.

Owlz · 17/04/2020 22:11

Evening all. Just going to jump in here. I’m 4+2 and this is my first pregnancy. I‘ve had IVF due to PCOS so I’m super excited that it worked first time 😊 I’m not sure what are actual pregnancy symptoms or symptoms of the medication I’m still on but after I cooked roast lamb for Easter Sunday, I keep getting the taste and smell repeating and any smell of meat makes me feel really sick 🤢 it’s weird and frustrating
I have an early scan with my clinic in two weeks before they discharge me back to the NHS. I’m worried about not getting the right amount of iron and protein if I’m not eating meat. Either way, after trying for almost 15 years, I don’t really care about the side effects, I’m just happy to be having a baby 😊😊

jtc19 · 17/04/2020 22:32

Congratulations and welcome to all the new joiners🤰❤️
@Owlz Im the same I've completely gone off meat it's quite frustrating but not a lot can be done at the moment and early on it shouldn't effect the baby too much I'm hoping by the second trimester I'll be able to eat meat again, honestly the worst symptom for me has to be the nausea x

Nic2908 · 18/04/2020 01:28

Super excited to go through this journey with you all. I still dont believe that it is real. Currently feeling good, just very anxious but trying to learn to calm down a bit.

Bassbeh17 · 18/04/2020 08:33

@jtc19 I haven’t gone off meat but I have noticed things are tasting funny! Last night we ordered a curry which I LOVED last week and I couldn’t finish and the meat tasted weird but my husband had the same and he said it was lovely!!

I’m also sleeping about 10 hours a night straight!!

I did another test this morning because I wanted to see if my hormones were rising and I got a 3+ wahooo!!! I’m 5+1 today 😊 that’s my last digital test and I’m not ordering more but I’ve got a few cheapie strip tests so I can keep an eye until my first appointment! I do hate how long the digitals take to come up though! On the cheapies it’s there before I’ve even finished my wee 😂

I've been taking floradix liquid iron since my MC @owlz if you are worried about iron intake, it has made me feel much more human and a lot easier than forcing yourself to eat something which makes you feel sick!

Jasminex1 · 18/04/2020 10:31

Hi everyone, hope I'm ok to join. I found out yesterday that we're expecting our first baby! Excited but anxious, especially as I'm such a worrier. I've been having period like cramps since I was supposed to start my period on Monday, but for the past 2 nights the cramps have suddenly been more intense during the night, lasting only a minute or so and happening a couple of times. Has anyone had this before? Think that I'm 4+5!x

Bassbeh17 · 18/04/2020 10:41

Welcome @Jasminex1 and congrats!!
I’m only 5+1 now and I spent the whole of last week exactly the same and my cramps were more intense than my normal period! This group helped me stay sane and I’m finally starting to come out of the other side of it! I found that going gently on my digestive system and using a hot water bottle in the evenings really helped!

2108Ta · 18/04/2020 11:16

Congratulations @Jasminex1 Yeah I was exactly the same at that point. I was constantly trying to get comfortable and checking for other signs. I’m now 7 weeks today and they have pretty much gone. You’ve just got to get through those first initial weeks☺️

Jadey31 · 18/04/2020 11:16

Welcome@Jasminex1 ❤️🤰🏼 when people said the cramps were like periods pains I took that with a pinch of salt! It's strange isn't it. I'm struggling to feel pregnant at the moment.

My DH keeps saying can you believe we MIGHT be having a baby. I keep replying No, we ARE having a baby 🤣

I'm going to call the midwife on Monday and go from there. I think I'll be 6 weeks then. We're thinking of having a private scan at 8 weeks just to put our minds at rest and make it feel more real plus it'll be nice to show family when we announce.

Is anyone else planning on having a 8 week scan?

2108Ta · 18/04/2020 11:20

@Jadey31 My husband is the same.. cool as cucumber about it and there’s me who’s already there 😅
We’re having an early scan too. I’ll be 9 weeks though as it’s the earliest we could get it. But I reckon I’ll have to wait another month for my first initial scan at the hospital.

Jasminex1 · 18/04/2020 11:24

Thanks and congratulations to you all too! It's so nice to know you're not the only one when you're worrying about something! I haven't really had any other signs except from feeling sooo tired!

@Jadey31 I'm thinking about having an 8 week scan too! My midwife call should be early this week

YahBasic · 18/04/2020 12:11

Congrats and welcome to the new joiners!

I’ve been piling on weight since before Christmas, so have decided I need to try and get my BMI down into the healthy range. It’s currently 25.5 so obviously anything under 24.9 will be good!

Have done a 30 min light spin session and going to attempt some of the RWL pregnancy sessions too.

I still have very few symptoms, just general tiredness but then struggling to sleep at night. I’m 6 weeks exactly today, so still torn between wanting more symptoms to show it’s progressing but then obviously not wanting any Grin

I don’t think we will get an early scan, there’s not many places nearby that are doing them. Will wait for our 12 week, which seems a shame as we aren’t telling anyone (including family!) until we see/hear a heartbeat. Just don’t want anyone to worry with what’s going on atm.

lc86 · 18/04/2020 12:12

Hey everyone, went for an early scan this morning. Measuring 6+1 which is what we thought 😊 no heartbeat yet though which the sonography said is completely normal, still wish we had been able to see it though. Going to go back in 2 weeks so we know everything is ok.. if you can I'd wait a bit longer for an early scan as I'm a little worried now even though she said it's completely normal and all measuring as should be xx

Joinedin2020 · 18/04/2020 12:37

Hope you all don't mind me asking - probably TMI!! I'm experiencing tan discharge.. I haven't ever had that before. As we are all at similar points (I'm 5+4) I just wondered if this is a normal thing or if I should be concerned! Thank you x

2108Ta · 18/04/2020 12:37

@YahBasic

I’m genuinely too scared to do anything. Before I found out I was pregnant, I was running random 5km and doing all the PE with joe but then I got just too tired. So I tried the Davina 30 free trial but I didn’t like it, there was no time to demonstrate the moves or anything. I think I’m going to try Jessica Ennis’ pregnancy workouts. I’d be interested to hear what RWL are like though if you wouldn’t mind sharing.
