@Deb86 thanks for the heads up! I haven’t had to take it more than once thank goodness and I looked up on the NHS website so that’s interesting 🤷🏻‍♀️
Anyway I’m back to a hot water bottle this evening and it has eased up again thank goodness! I’m hoping it stops in the next few weeks 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

littletandme · 16/04/2020 20:49

@Deb86 paracetamol is perfectly fine at any stage of pregnancy.

I no longer practice Midwifery as I went back to nursing (gynae) but we follow the current guidelines that paracetamol is safe throughout pregnancy x

Nic2908 · 16/04/2020 21:29

Hi guys please can I join?? First baby... very confused about how far I am. First day of last period was 22nd march, but I ovulated on 29th (2 days after end of period) which was all very strange. So I think that I am 3 +4?? Although I think I'm further than what the books suggest at this time as I ovulated so early in my cycle??? I really don't understand. My periods are usually around 33 days not really sure what happened this month however not complaining. Very bloated sore boobs, mild pains mainly on left side... is this usual?? Such a worrier.

Deb86 · 16/04/2020 23:06

Well fancy that. I have avoided it like the plague and never thought to Google it. Worth saying though my sister is in Ireland so maybe different advice there?
Don't suppose anyone can find an article saying a gin and tonic is allowed?? That would be nice Grin we are sitting in a blackout here.

jtc19 · 17/04/2020 00:44

When will this nausea go😩😖😖this is insane!!!

Bassbeh17 · 17/04/2020 01:07

Thanks for the paracetamol update! So I’m awake at 1 am with a belly ache because I haven’t been for two days again! Ordered some fybogel on the recommendation of my midwife friend and that was disgusting! Nearly brought that back up straight away so 🤞🏼 One dose works 🤦🏽‍♀️
Also, anyone else had a muscular aching pain under right (or left) breast? It’s aching when I breathe in and mainly if standing so I’m wondering if it’s to do with the hormone changes and the weight change of my breast? But then I can feel it a bit around the back too? I’m turning into a worrier aren’t I????

Mrsallen17 · 17/04/2020 06:21

@Bassbeh17 I’ve been cramping like this too. I was really worried last night but it’s comes and goes and no bleeding either. I read that the pregnacare can cause trapped wind which can cause cramps so I’m thinking of switching to just folic acid. Has anyone else heard this?
My midwife said paracetamol was ok to take when I had my session with her Wednesday. 🤔

Hollandy182 · 17/04/2020 07:29

Hi all..
Mind if I join? 😁

Got bfp yesterday after thinking I was out. Have tested several times as can't believe it. 🤩🤩

I have PCOS and TTC for over a year..My cycles are extremely random from 30 days to 90 days.
Do I still calculate from my last period? It was 25th Feb. But had a bfn on the 9th April and 1st bfp on the 16th April.

Having to wait for a pack to be sent out by my gp before the midwife can contact me. I'm so impatient 🙈

Congratulations everyone x

Hatepickinganame · 17/04/2020 07:58

@Hollandy182 im not sure, id say go with your lmp for now but explain to midwife about long cycles etc and they usually send you for a dating scan (pre-corona, not sure about now) as with all three of mine i never actually knew my last period, not even close 😂 had to have early scans all 3 times. Still feels weird this time to know a) how far i am and b) exactly when we conceived 😂😂😂

Mrsirvine · 17/04/2020 08:02

Morning ladies,

Think I’m out :( I’m bleeding and I did a IC today and where they were getting progressively dark it’s went really faint. :( good luck to you all xxx

LuLaLaLa · 17/04/2020 08:32

@mrsirvine take care and rest. Phone EPU also for some advice xxx

As this baby was a little surprise I wasn’t taking folic acid. I haven’t been out much and finally got round to ordering some folic acid off amazon. It’s coming tomorrow. I have a good diet and eat lots of food high in folic acid anyway . Feeling a little guilty for being abit too relaxed about picking some folic acid up

Bassbeh17 · 17/04/2020 09:00

@LuLaLaLa don’t feel guilty this must happen to most people! BUT....I feel the folic acid is the cause of my constipation and in turn, my pain! So please be aware and eat tons of fruit etc! It might not happen but just so you know as I was trying to down a glass of fybergel at 1am 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

@Mrsirvine I’m really sorry to hear that 💗

Bassbeh17 · 17/04/2020 09:14

Should I be worried about a pain under my right breast like in my ribs when I breathe in but sometimes around the back too? No other pain just that?

LuLaLaLa · 17/04/2020 09:19

@Bassbeh17 that sounds like wind. Try some peppermint tea or rennie deflatine. All good for pregnant ladies. I really struggled last time and those really helped

Lori86 · 17/04/2020 09:26

Hi ladies, I'm going to tentatively join. I actually had a miscarriage on the 19th March & decided to put off ttc for a few months but fate had other ideas & I found out I was pregnant on Wednesday, it's definitely a new pregnancy as I had 3 false tests after the mc. Its so weird to be here again almost 4 weeks to the day from the miscarriage but I feel like it was meant to be. I'm not sure how they'll date this pregnancy as I haven't had a period since my miscarriage, I think they'll count the mc as cd1 which means I'm 4+1 today. Fingers crossed for everyone x

Lori86 · 17/04/2020 09:28

@Mrsirvine I'm sorry to hear that, hopefully you're not losing the baby but if you are there's great support over in the miscarriage/pregnancy loss board. I was only there last month, it's a horrible time. Rest up as much as possible & be kind to yourself xx

Bassbeh17 · 17/04/2020 09:34

@LuLaLaLa if it is then I’m sorry to whoever’s around when it leaves 😂😂
I will try that tonight and also I’m going to start introducing some yoga stretches into my day as a norm I think that will help xx

Hatepickinganame · 17/04/2020 09:54

@Mrsirvine sorry to hear this, hope youre looking after yourself today. Will keep everything crossed for you.

@Bassbeh17 my friend was raving about pregnancy yoga the other day, think i may look into it. Never done yoga before though 😂

Whiffle77 · 17/04/2020 11:34

Sorry to hear that @Mrsirvine hope you are ok. Would echo @lori86 if it is the worst, I have found so much comfort from these boards after my MC.

I have been drinking a lot of peppermint tea too - helps me not feel so sick and helps with the wind!! 💨

Jadey31 · 17/04/2020 11:49

Morning ladies. It's nice to read everyone's symptoms and realising that is happening to me too and I didn't think it was anything to do with my pregnancy! Although I haven't had any cramps today .. is that a good thing? I'd rather they be there so I knew something was happening

lionsmum · 17/04/2020 13:51

@Mrsirvine I'm sorry to hear, , look after yourself and rest ip💖 sending love

Bassbeh17 · 17/04/2020 14:14

@Jadey31 after a week of them just enjoy it!! But I do know what you mean and I’ve actually drunk a cup of tea today which I haven’t wanted for weeks and then thought “oh no is this a bad sign” but I’m pretty sure we can drive ourselves insane with this stuff!!!

Hatepickinganame · 17/04/2020 14:14

Ive just ordered those sickness bands from amazon. Had them last time, dont remember if they helped but ive barely moved from the sofa today my nausea is so bad. Can't stop eating either, and im desperately craving fruit 😂 my local shop literally only has apples every time i go in though! No real point to this post other than to moan 😂😂😂😂

vegisaurus · 17/04/2020 14:16

I am just over 5 weeks and I have had a bit of brown spotting (mostly when I wipe but a teeny bit on my underwear too). I haven't had any increase in cramps etc, and I know that brown spotting is not necessarily bad news, but it still doesn't make the worry any less!! Anyone else in the same boat?
