OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Good luck @Chickoletta. With a bit of luck the baby is just hiding. You have no other symptoms of miscarriage so that's positive! Let us know how it goes xx

burntpinky · 12/04/2020 08:55

@Chickoletta have everything crossed for you x

Workingmama1 · 12/04/2020 09:52

Thanks ladies for your kind words yesterday. Sorry some of you have also had to go through something similar, it's really crappy.
I'm torn between trying to accept what is inevitable so I'm prepared when something happens or for bad news at my next scan, and holding onto the tiniest bit of hope maybe it will be OK.
I've always had concerns about this pregnancy as I'm pretty sure it was conceived the morning after my husband had a radioactive tracer for a scan (we had a whoops moment!) and I've always worried that might have impacted any baby. I guess I won't know if that's what caused it or not.
What also sucks is I've still got nausea and food aversion, plus with the small possibility it is OK can't even has a drink to commiserate!

Chickoletta · 12/04/2020 10:51

Thanks everyone.
Thinking of you too, @workingmama. I feel exactly the same way. Feel quite sure that it’s all over but can’t shake the tiny flame of hope. I couldn’t sleep last night at all and was tempted to take some Nytol or have a glass of wine but didn’t dare.

Hope all off you other ladies are doing ok. Sorry for putting a downer on your thread. It’s Easter, the sun’s shining and we all have so much to be grateful for, even those of us who are struggling today.

SqidgeBum · 12/04/2020 10:54

Did you take a pregnancy test this morning @Chickoletta?

Chickoletta · 12/04/2020 11:05

@squidgebum - not yet. Haven’t got one and shops all shut. DH has gone out to find one...

SqidgeBum · 12/04/2020 11:08

Just a tip, home bargains are open because they supply food, and I always find cheapy but surprisingly reliable tests in home bargains. Just in case he cant find any in a supermarket.

SqidgeBum · 12/04/2020 11:12

Oh sorry! Nevermind. Its closed easter sunday Sad I hope you can get one somewhere xx

Pink15 · 12/04/2020 12:11

Sorry to hear ladies :( keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Can I ask if anyone's been to window to the womb - it says you need a positive pregnancy test prior to the scan. Do you have to bring one with you to prove it or do they ask you to repeat it on the day? Thanks!

bluebell94 · 12/04/2020 12:21

@Pink15 no, I just had to write on the form the date of my first positive test 😊

canueve · 12/04/2020 12:48

@Pink15 they didn't ask me any of it, just how far along I was and last day of period.

seventhrow · 12/04/2020 12:52

Hi all. Is anyone else struggling with mood swings? I’m 9+4 and have been in a terrible mood for the last couple of days. Tears, frustration etc. All exacerbated by the long weekend stuck at home, unable to do the things I want to do due to lockdown and/or physical exhaustion. Had a pretty miserable birthday on Thursday as well. I just don’t know what to do to cheer myself up. I know that I should be grateful for my health and I am.... Im very aware of how awful the situation is (my mum has had Covid-19 in hosp, my aunt was admitted to hospital 2 weeks ago with it, my grandma is at risk and in hospital). I just can’t shake off feeling sad and low....

SqidgeBum · 12/04/2020 13:12

@seventhrow I think even without being pregnant I would feel sad and low if I was in your situation. This is a horrible time. Its very hard to keep spirits up, and you have extra worries with your family. You dont need to feel happy. Most people dont at the minute, despite the positive posts on facebook. It will pass, as do all things. Just take it day by day, and dont put too much pressure on yourself to be 'happy'. Flowers

Pink15 · 12/04/2020 13:16

@canueve @bluebell94 thanks for your replies 😊

Hancock2020 · 12/04/2020 13:18

@Pink15 I've got my scan with them tomorrow 😁 if they want proof they can look at my photo of my 2 tests lol

HarrietM87 · 12/04/2020 13:29

@Chickoletta really sorry to hear this. I know the midwife suggested it but since you haven’t had any bleeding then the chances are a pregnancy test would be positive even if it is a mmc that stopped developing early on. I think it’s only once hormone levels drop that you start to lose the pregnancy and if it is a mmc then your body still thinks it’s pregnant. I’ve had 2 mmcs and both times was still getting positive pregnancy tests until over a week after I had the procedures to remove them.

Obviously really hoping all is well for you. I think your best bet is to go for a scan at the EPU and you’ll get a conclusive answer. Best of luck and thinking of you.

mamayoucefka · 12/04/2020 14:07

I had a scan with window to the womb earlier today and they dont have to see your pregnancy test. Just fill in the date of your lmp and date of positive test on a form.

I am 7 weeks today and I could hear the heartbeat! All looks good for now. Such a relief!

Hancock2020 · 12/04/2020 14:12

@mamayoucefka did you have to have a full bladder or did they do it the other way for you?

Pink15 · 12/04/2020 14:26

@Hancock2020 ahhh exciting mine is this week too!!

mamayoucefka · 12/04/2020 14:34

I had to had internal scan (which wasn't as bad as I imagined lol) so had to have empty bladder

Hancock2020 · 12/04/2020 15:17

@Pink15 I just couldn't wait until 12 weeks to hear a heartbeat and know everything is ok

Pink15 · 12/04/2020 16:50

@Hancock2020 same!! I think the 12 weeks will go even slower with us being locked down plus my midwife said it could be 14 weeks. I also want my husband to be there as it's our first so only way that'd be possible! Good luck let us know how you get on 😊

Tonicandgin · 12/04/2020 16:51

Sorry that some of you are having tough times. I am hoping and praying everything is okay for you. I can't imagine going through that at this time with the reduced support available from midwives etc.

Big hugs to everyone.

SqidgeBum · 12/04/2020 17:12

I finally got my scan date, and luckily it's when I am 12 weeks and 3 days (2 weeks time). They are also still doing the blood tests for Edward's etc. Hopefully those of you who havent got it yet and are afraid (as I was) that it will be more 14 weeks than 12, they may just be a bit late getting the date out, like my trust were.

SMcG1 · 12/04/2020 17:13

Does anyone take antihistamines? They all seem to say you should speak to your gp before taking them while pregnant but with everything that’s going on I don’t want to bother them about something like that.
