Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Hancock2020 · 10/04/2020 12:07

Just trying not to kill my mum is my daily activity 🤣🤣

Samanthalouise1 · 10/04/2020 12:38

Hi ladies,

First post here on mumsnet, still trying to navigate my way around!

almost 8 weeks and my nausea is so overwhelming i feel like i have forgot what it feels like to not be nauseous. Had to resort to GP prescribing some cyclizine as i was struggling so much. Really hope it gets better! Anyone in the same
position? any tips?

SqidgeBum · 10/04/2020 12:58

That's very true @Sakura54

KatieGlo · 10/04/2020 13:00

The daily battle trying to swallow that unnecessarily large pregnancy multivitamin whilst nauseous!

Samanthalouise1 · 10/04/2020 13:14

Preach!!! my days it’s worse than trying. to take a tequila!!!

WildflowerPetals · 10/04/2020 13:57

@Luckyme30 @littlegem84 I believe I’m due 1st November too! 😊 x

canueve · 10/04/2020 15:05

I'm with some of you, had a mild cramp on monday and tuesday but haven't felt much after that, just very mild sore boobs and exhaustion from the heat, but trying to be optimistic that everything is ok.

I'll be 9 weeks next week and my midwife said I'd have my scan between 10 and 11 weeks, so if I don't get the letter by Thursday, I'll give her a call.

Hancock2020 · 10/04/2020 15:21

Yey! I got cramps 🤣🥳
Lol, small things

Natopp · 10/04/2020 15:36

@MrsAJKA hello due date buddy!! 12th Nov is my predicted date, too. How exciting x

MrsAJKA · 10/04/2020 15:42

@Natopp Hey! Amazing! What have you done so far? Will be getting my bloods done tomorrow. Then hopefully find out my dating scan.

AnxiousLady1 · 10/04/2020 15:48

To all the ladies talking about symptoms reducing, I'm with you! 10 weeks today and MS has really lifted. Am reverting to prodding my boobs every 5 mins.

Natopp · 10/04/2020 15:51

@MrsAJKA I had my blood and urine taken 2 days ago. They also did blood pressure, height and weight. Midwife rang me afterwards to got through all verbal bits like family health history etc. I'll receive my scan date in the post shortly.
How do you feel? I've suffered with quite bad nausea but it's easing up a bit and only gets bad towards the evening. Also can't go near a vegetable!

MrsAJKA · 10/04/2020 16:00

@Natopp oh yes so I did the phone things yesterday and told her my weight and height. Exciting hopefully you get your letter asap! I’m actually okay, not had any sickness. I’m fully the opposite just want to eat everything on site. Trying to be more healthy and active but so hard in this lockdown. I’m just super tired a lot! How you feeling about everything, this is my first pregnancy so I’m just literally no idea what I’m doing lol Grin

Clove20 · 10/04/2020 16:31

Didn't realise there was a new thread.
Hi ladies

Natopp · 10/04/2020 16:46

@MrsAJKA I know it's so hard to eat well and exercise right now - the issue I have is anything remotely healthy is making me feel sick, and anything crappy like sweets are all I want to eat. I feel like I will be the size of a hippo later down the line!! Glad you're not sick. Yes me too, been sooo tired! I get home from work and practically go straight to bed around 7 o clock, which is annoying for DH as I never really catch up with him apart from weekends lol. Lucky we have this bank holiday to see each other during the day when I'm half awake Wink. This is my first too!! I'm really excited. I'm a nanny and have been for years, with newborns, so not feeling too nervous however I know it'll be completely different with my own child! Just taking each day as it comes and remaining calm. Trying to avoid too much negative news and focusing on the positives and staying safe. You will be fine. Just take it day by day and anything you're unsure of ask us or your midwife! Smile ah it's so nice to know someone has the same due date as me!

ParisInTheSpringtime · 10/04/2020 16:51

What kind of medical questions are asked at the booking appointment? Is it just my history, or husbands too? Maybe even family?

burntpinky · 10/04/2020 17:06

@ParisInTheSpringtime - yes all of those but they concentrate on the mothers history the most x

Pink15 · 10/04/2020 17:12

It's very reassuring seeing some of you a few weeks ahead of me that your symptoms are easing!! There is light at the end of the tunnel 🙌🏻

ACatCalledLola · 10/04/2020 17:16

@ParisInTheSpringtime it’s mother’s, father’s and family history for medical conditions, previous births etc. Also a few questions on drugs, smoking, drinking, childhood/current involvement with ss, dv and mental well-being just in case the mother needs extra support at any point.

Chickoletta · 10/04/2020 17:35

@ParisInTheSpringtime - I was asked whether DH and I are blood relations! This is Cornwall though...

Samanthalouise1 · 10/04/2020 17:42

@Pink15 this is helping me a lot too, i really hope i can get back to enjoying meals and not running for the toilet when someone opens for the fridge!

BuffaloCauliflower · 10/04/2020 18:14

@Hancock2020 I’m 8+2 and have also been feeling fine and therefore worried this week. I didn’t have strong symptoms anyway, some tiredness and breast tenderness, feeling a bit woozy but never any sickness. I started a thread about it (maybe search my name) and so many women said they’d had hardly any symptoms or only for a few weeks that then eased off. My DM also had really easy pregnancies and felt fine, so might be genetic. I’m just trying not to worry. 4 and a bit weeks till my scan will just have to keep chill! But not every pregnancy is plagued with sickness and feeling awful.

BuffaloCauliflower · 10/04/2020 18:20

@Hancock2020 I’ve been googling all week and 8 weeks can be a time symptoms subside as the placenta starts to take over. If you’re not bleeding and cramping you should be fine. I totally get the constant worry though Flowers

ParisInTheSpringtime · 10/04/2020 18:41

Thanks all. Have my appointment tomorrow so just trying to get my ducks in a row.

Hancock2020 · 10/04/2020 20:53

@AnxiousLady1 lol I've been prodding my boobs too 🤣
