Hi all,

I'm jumping the gun a little with this as I'm pregnant and found out earlier than a missed period (it's 3 days away)

I had a miscarriage at the start of February so I'm terrified, but trying to be optimistic all will be okay. My lines are getting darker, which they didn't do last time.

Anyone else due in December?

I'm 4 weeks +5days and we told both sets of parents this weekend. Partly because we were excited (it's our first) and I guess partly with everything that is going on at the minute. My husband's parents in particular are really excited as it will be their first grandchild. But since we've told them I've felt worried and anxious about us telling them so early on. I'm just hoping everything will be ok.

I'm also in work tomorrow for an odd day. They have social distancing in place and regular hand washing etc so hopefully that will be ok too. I haven't wanted to tell anyone at work yet.

I think I've just turned into a massive worrier and need to chill out a bit 😂 Sorry to sound like a moaner! I hope you are all ok 😊.

I had the most awful vivid dream that I had a miscarriage! 😳 I woke up so panicked and upset...I jumped out of bed and did a clear blue digital test straight away! 🤣 Reassuringly I've moved along to the next weeks indicator so 2-3 (I think I'm 5 weeks today) Such scary times though, I think my nerves are going to be shot to pieces over the next few months!

marlibs3 · 30/03/2020 07:47

Omg @Clemmie83 I had the exact same nightmare!! Christ without this group I'd think I'd have gone mad. Sorry to hear but I'm so glad your test came out positive :)

Clemmie83 · 30/03/2020 07:53

@marlibs3 So scary isn't it! I've read that vivid dreams can be common during pregnancy but I really hope that one doesn't become a regular feature! 😳

Lellis92 · 30/03/2020 08:46

Huge congratulations to all of you- so nice to be able to have some lovely news during these tough times!
Would you mind if I join?
I am 5 weeks today with our first baby - found out almost a week ago and taken a few tests since as didn’t actually believe it was real (these were my tests 2 and 3 days before period was due! - nice reading all your comments knowing I’m not on my own as I feel just like most of you!

@littletandme @Lellis92 Congratulations both! So exciting! How are you both feeling?

littletandme · 30/03/2020 09:12

@Clemmie83 weird, as I don't feel any different. Although my little girl is obsessed with "baby in your tummy" which she picked up from a Netflix cartoon, which she's been saying for months. Suddenly it's not so funny 😂

Emerald89 · 30/03/2020 09:22

@Clemmie83 what an awful dream!! Hopefully a one off!
I get incredibly vivid dreams as I have narcolepsy, they feel real and I can recall minute details of them long after waking up. Luckily no pregnancy related dreams, last night I dreamed that I was swimming around an underwater pub, whatever that means!

Lellis92 · 30/03/2020 09:30

@Clemmie83 Thankyou!
I’ve had no symptoms other than light stomach cramps and lower back pain along with a missed period!
But mixture of feeling super excited/anxious/worried all in one! Have been reading the comments and we were hoping to get an early scan too, such a hard time to be pregnant with all the changes and stuff not being available to us that normally would be 😏 x

aitch07 · 30/03/2020 10:36

Is anyone else spending their entire time on google looking at symptoms, what you should/shouldn't do?! Only 4wks and no real symptoms other than a low dull ache which may be nerves...After a MC this time last year, being older (37) and not in a stable relationship it's all a bit scary. Glad to have this group as the only other person I've told is my sis in law. Wish I could fast forward a few weeks!

AnnieCa34 · 30/03/2020 10:42

Welcome to all the new people! Congrats! @Clemmie83 that dream sounds awful. I haven’t had any dreams like that but I did wake at 4am with bad stomach cramps and convinced myself I was having a miscarriage as they kept me awake for a long time. But no bleeding so assume I am ok. I hope. Not sure how bad the cramps should be, they are like period pains but everything says they should be mild. They didn’t feel mild this morning. Sure being anxious doesn’t help. I would love to fast forward to 12 weeks right now! 5 weeks tomorrow though.

Clemmie83 · 30/03/2020 10:52

@aitch07 I completely know what you mean, I'm Googling everything and constantly seem to be a bag of nerves! Confused I wish I could just get to the 12 week point!

Clemmie83 · 30/03/2020 10:54

@AnnieCa34 I can completely sympathise, I had bad cramps a couple of nights ago and convinced myself I was having a miscarriage but it's been fine since. Just so scary not knowing what's normal at this stage!

aitch07 · 30/03/2020 11:03

@Clemmie83 spend far too long counting days on the calendar like the situation might change and whizz me forward 😂 x

Clemmie83 · 30/03/2020 11:05

@aitch07 I'm exactly the same! Taking each day as a positive so far but time seems to be going so slowly!! 🙄

Beccarans89 · 30/03/2020 11:20

Hi to all the new people and congratulations!!
Oh god I'm so glad I'm not the only one having vivid dreams, they seem crazy at the moment! Also feeling really anxious - I had some light pink spotting last night, which I know can be very common and I haven't had any pain but I was a wreck last night, convinced something was wrong! So hard to stay relaxed at the moment isn't it and Google is too tempting! Hope you're all ok, it's good we've got each other! X

Ldawg · 30/03/2020 11:23

I'm a wreck too! Only 4 weeks and no real symptoms yet. When I had my miscarriage a few months ago I had sore boobs from the moment I found out. It's so difficult though, obviously that one didn't work out so I'm not sure I want to be feeling the same, however at least I knew I was pregnant! When my boobs stopped hurting that's was the first sign something was wrong as well.

Vividdreamer88 · 30/03/2020 11:34

Hi all! I am a bit late to the party due date is 30th Nov. I haven’t told anyone yet (other than husband 😹)

So far so tired and weirdly weepy - I cried earlier trying to fill in a patient form.

Who has everyone else told - just me and my partner know so far not sure when to tell future grandparents and my work...

AnnieCa34 · 30/03/2020 11:39

@Clemmie83 it’s so scary and I think when it’s the night it’s easier to freak yourself out! I have saved one more test which I was gonna take tomorrow when I am 5 weeks to reassure myself!
@aitch07 completely agree I am obsessed with google but feel I should ban myself as I’m sure it’s making it worse. Like you I would love to fast forward a few weeks. I keep thinking I should just try to enjoy knowing I am pregnant and less worry but I just can’t. I hope as it goes forward maybe I can enjoy it but I’m not sure.

Ldawg · 30/03/2020 11:39

I've told my boss and sister. We're hoping to go for an early scan and won't be telling anyone else before then (even then we will probably wait until after 12 weeks). Would also love to tell the grandparents in person as it's going to be the first grandchild for all of them and I think it'd be so nice to get everyone together for a happy occasion after all of this.

AnnieCa34 · 30/03/2020 11:42

@Vividdreamer88 I have told boyfriend and 2 friends who are also pregnant. Too scared to tell anyone else. My parents are self isolating as vulnerable not whether to wait until I can tell them in person! Work wise I am a nanny and not working the next 2 weeks so may be back when I have full on symptoms with parents working at home so will play it by ear as may have to tell them sooner! Otherwise I would have waited until 12 weeks!

AnnieCa34 · 30/03/2020 11:43

@Ldawg I agree although at this rate by time we can tell people in person we will be showing! They will guess straight away!

Ldawg · 30/03/2020 11:47

@AnnieCa34 hahah very good point!!

Lellis92 · 30/03/2020 11:48

I am the same have been googling everything and finding the days are going so so slow!
I mean normally you’d be going to work or getting on with daily life with distractions but there are literally no distractions and my brain is working overtime!!! 🙈
It’s so hard - so glad to hear lots of you have been having cramping too though as that’s my only symptom! X
