Hi all,

I'm jumping the gun a little with this as I'm pregnant and found out earlier than a missed period (it's 3 days away)

I had a miscarriage at the start of February so I'm terrified, but trying to be optimistic all will be okay. My lines are getting darker, which they didn't do last time.

Anyone else due in December?

@anonymouse sorry to hear that, I was able to book an appointment but was told it could be cancelled. Hopefully after this 3 week spell things might of calmed down a bit if people do what they're supposed to

Sounds like I'm the only one not getting any symptoms! My boobs don't hurt, I'm not tired, I just feel like my normal self. I kind of want something to make it feel real

ChampooPapi · 24/03/2020 12:50

Hello @anonymouse , @GreenerGreen, @tossacoin1 @coley17 and @Maternitynurse16 👋👣🎉

Hey @Figey yes let's be due date twins even inevitably when our dates change 😉. I was on a pregnancy thread here with my last born in 2018, and having a due date twin is fun! It also means you always remember at least one person's user name 😆 are you getting any symptoms? My back is doing that twingy thing, though that might be the whole curfew thing

ChampooPapi · 24/03/2020 12:52

Oh also are you actually a maternity nurse @Maternitynurse16..... Asking for a friend 😉

ChampooPapi · 24/03/2020 12:54

Also word is we should expect to be like this for over a month ladies, curfew/social distancing wise

Maternitynurse16 · 24/03/2020 12:58

I used to be... I've changed to become an accountant now 😂

ChampooPapi · 24/03/2020 13:01

@Maternitynurse16 I know it's probably a bad thing to say, bit that is good! I guess your working from home safe and sound? You'd be running around like mad if you were still nursing on a maternity ward, you must know a fair few women still out there, it really is a worry for them if they are pregnant and dealing with all this within the hospitals.

anonymouse · 24/03/2020 13:28

Are pregnant NHS staff still working? I know it's not idea but surely they would be furloughed for their safety being a vulnerable group?

@tossacoin1 I didn't have many symptoms with my first. Only really felt real once I could feel him move. I think I won't be so lucky this time around. I already get waves of nausea.

Pregnant & lockdown with a 2 year old... If I can survive this, I can survive anything Grin

anonymouse · 24/03/2020 16:02

So turns out self referring is the way forward. I just had a call from my GP surgery confirming they booked me in with the midwife. Seems like it will be in the surgery too. 4 weeks away so hopefully in less extreme measures.

ChampooPapi · 24/03/2020 16:24

@anonymouse that's good your all booked in. Glad we have this thread up and running, I feel like it's going to be a bit of a lifeline. Thanks you @savethewales for starting it 💜

2 year old this end as well, I just brought a small paddling pool as water play will kill some time in the garden, they love it and thankfully it's not the deep of winter.

savethewales · 24/03/2020 16:31

It's super mild today where I am, I'm actually quite shocked!
No problem at all, I feel like I can talk about it here and ask ridiculous questions as well my OH doesn't have a clue haha.

Has everyone stopped testing now? Xx

OP posts:
ChampooPapi · 24/03/2020 16:43

@savethewales lol, I may test this weekend but if I'm retching I probably won't bother 😉

tossacoin1 · 24/03/2020 16:58

@savethewales I plan on testing again tomorrow and then probably again....cause I'm a crazy person lol I have 3 tests left. Also just peace of mind cause I still can't believe it

tossacoin1 · 24/03/2020 17:00

I just told my mum and I feel quite sad by her reaction Sad her initial reaction was 'oh no' cause of the corona situation. She did say afterwards it was great news but it didn't feel like it. She didn't hug me either cause of the virus 😞 I feel like when I tell everyone at 12 weeks I'm going to have the same reaction from everyone

savethewales · 24/03/2020 17:18

Everything could be different by then tossacoin1, try not to worry too much or let it dampen your experience.
With the miscarriage im going mad as I want to see my line darken on those cheapies, stupid I know :( xx

OP posts:
tossacoin1 · 24/03/2020 17:35

@savethewales thank you. I totally understand, not stupid at all. I want to see my lines get darker and I haven't even had a mc. If it will give you peace of mind do as many as you can Smile

Figey · 24/03/2020 17:58

@tossacoin1 I’m sorry that your mums reaction made you feel sad. We’re super excited for you!! 🎉 I also feel like the ‘oh nos’ should be saved for the poor ladies giving birth now or in the next few months. By December, fingers crossed, we are over the worst of all of this mess. For me, I’d choose my BFP at this crazy time, over no BFP one million times!! It’s such welcome positivity!!

@ChampooPapi I’ve just booked in for a 6 week scan. I’m super anxious so I’m hoping this might help reassure me - so totally get the testing/hoping to be retching!

tossacoin1 · 24/03/2020 18:18

@Figey thanks that actually made me feel a little better 🙂 and yes you are right, hopefully by December things will mostly be back to normal.

Pineappletree33 · 24/03/2020 18:30

Hi 👋
Can I join?
I’m pregnant (I think) with baby number 2 after a miscarriage on Boxing Day.
I say I think because I’m burying my head in the sand about doing a test. I’m anxious about this Coronavirus so the longer I don’t know the better. I would be due Nov 26th. I’ve got an almost 2 year old. Smile

ChampooPapi · 25/03/2020 07:51

Hi @Pineappletree33 , welcome. Sorry about your miscarriage, sounds like your having your rainbow baby.

Your probably about 5 weeks now so definitely time to test!

savethewales · 25/03/2020 08:17

Morning! How's everyone doing today?

OP posts:
tossacoin1 · 25/03/2020 08:28

@savethewales morning! I feel good.
Still no symptoms but my line is a lot darker this morning so that has made me happy Smile how are you?

savethewales · 25/03/2020 08:33

@tossacoin1 That's good, you may just be super lucky! I'm okay, still super anxious about the whole thing, it's kind of driving me mad.

My AF is due today or tomorrow so I'm hoping for a super dark line in the next day or two. Which ones are you using?

OP posts:
ChampooPapi · 25/03/2020 09:26

@savethewales yes me too! I am starting to get a little feeling of the quease to come, I am dreading it as well as obviously hoping for it because it means I'm still pregnant 😣

@tossacoin1 such a relief to see that line! Let us see and tell us your dpo please 🙏

I'm going to wait untill the weekend to test again, then I'll upload mine, something to distract at least and focus on for me personally.

anonymouse · 25/03/2020 09:27

Good morning- the sun is out again. I know most people are saying that it's typical that the sun is out when we can't be but I always feel much happier when the sun is shining.

@tossacoin1 sorry for your Mum's reaction. In normal circumstances she'd be thrilled but her Mum worry is overriding.

I have 1 test left so I might test again just to see the dark line but AF was due Monday and no sign. I've been using FRER.

@Pineappletree33 Welcome. Definitely test although I'm a better to know & be prepared mindset so no testing would be driving me crazy!

@Figey yay for scan- is that private or NHS?

@ChampooPapi oh water play is definitely a good idea. I think i'm going to send DS out in the garden to 'paint' the fence. That should occupy him for 10 minutes!

tossacoin1 · 25/03/2020 09:46

@savethewales I am using the frer, I have spent so much money on pregnancy tests I think I'm finally done now lol I hope I'm lucky but my mum said she had really bad sickness with me and my brothers and apparently this can be hereditary so I'm not feeling hopeful

@ChampooPapi today I am 12dpo, af due Friday. I have attached pic

@anonymouse I completely agree, I feel so much happier when the sun is shining. Yea it's so rubbish these aren't normal circumstances Sad
