Hi all,

I'm jumping the gun a little with this as I'm pregnant and found out earlier than a missed period (it's 3 days away)

I had a miscarriage at the start of February so I'm terrified, but trying to be optimistic all will be okay. My lines are getting darker, which they didn't do last time.

Anyone else due in December?

@Beccarans89 yes it's nice to know that we are all experiencing similar things so it makes me feel a bit more normal 🤣 I know you've got more time to think haven't you - at least we get lots more rest than normal so I guess that's a good thing! I'm just hoping things improve with the whole cv thing and by the time our babies are born.

Ladies I’ve copied the corona modified appointment schedule I received from Chelsea and Westminster maternity led care if anyone is wondering what appointments are currently continuing etc. Assume each hospital is different, but thought this may be helpful to someone!

Meet and greet: Suspended

8-10 weeks: Telephone Appointment. Book anomaly screening. Attend for booking bloods.

12 Weeks: No Appointment

16 Weeks: Telephone Appointment

20-21 Weeks: Attend Ultrasound

25 Weeks: No Appointment

28 Weeks: Face-to-face Appointment- Routine bloods and Anti-D if required

31 Weeks: Telephone Appointment

34 Weeks: Telephone Appointment

36 Weeks: Face-to-face Appointment

38 weeks: Telephone Appointment

40 Weeks: Face-to-face Appointment

41 Weeks: Telephone Appointment

ChampooPapi · 27/03/2020 07:07

@Figey thanks, I think your trust is probably a little ahead of the curve which is a good thing. Imagine everyone's schedules regarding appointments will look very similar once every trust catches up.

My 'booking in' is over then phone, but I said I didn't want to come in anyway, I don't want to go near the hospital or doctors currently so I am very contented with laying low until 12 week scan.

Did my last test 😁

ChampooPapi · 27/03/2020 07:10

Also @Figey how are feeling currently? As we are twinning here let's compare symptoms. I am starting to feel a creeping sense of queese but nothing concrete. Just tired and dry mouth, bit of that kind of hormonal 'rushy' feeling when I'm walking or busy round the house.

And puffing up hills a bit 🙄

marlibs3 · 27/03/2020 07:14

Hey all! Hoping I can join here I'm 5wk today so expecting a 27th November baby but it's my first (I'm 26) so I don't doubt it'll come in December - which is me and my sister's birth month so yay!

My private early scan has been cancelled bc the staff are all going to help the NHS so I'll be anxiously waiting for the 12wk scan to hear that heartbeat (I've received the letter confirming the appointment and telling me my OH won't be able to come bc of COVID :( )

How is everyone feeling today? My main symptoms are sleeping 9pm-6am (both v early for me!) and burping a lotttt + nausea 🤢

Clemmie83 · 27/03/2020 07:51

@Figey Thanks for sharing. Is that right, no scan until 20 weeks? Shock I know times are really challenging at the moment but that makes me feel really anxious, especially as it's my first pregnancy. What are people generally doing? Are you all having private scans?

savethewales · 27/03/2020 08:01

Gosh no scan until 20 weeks isn't ideal is it. My tests are lighter again today so I'm basically just waiting for my period. That will be two early miscarriages in 3 months, I'm hoping to have my bloods done soon so I have some idea if I'm lacking anything I need or if it's just bad luck. Good luck to you all and I hope it flies xxx

@savethewales anomaly screening is the 12 week scan. They definitely won't be stopping those ladies so don't worry! I assume it means no midwife appointment at 12 weeks

Figey · 27/03/2020 08:13

Ah hit post too soon!
@Clemmie83 I think you’re right, only the one scan! I’ll definitely be getting some private scans if that is the case!

I initially thought this must be an error as the 8 weeks scan is a medically very important scan (test for downs etc). If it is correct I’m very concerned 😳

Figey · 27/03/2020 08:17

@ChampooPapi exciting that you are getting such positive symptoms!! I wish I was getting some strong solid symptoms to put my mind at ease! My boobs are maybe a little bigger and sore? I didn’t realise shortness of breath was a symptom but I was definitely more puffed walking up the stairs yesterday! I put it down to having not been to the gym for the past few weeks since it closed!

ChampooPapi · 27/03/2020 08:17

@Figey oh God your joking, that actually isn't good at all!

ChampooPapi · 27/03/2020 08:19

Surly they can't cancel the downs testing ect? That just doesn't make any sense! Are you sure it doesn't just mean no midwife appointments at the time? @Figey

Figey · 27/03/2020 08:19

@savethewales I’m sure @ChampooPapi is right regarding the schedule

Figey · 27/03/2020 08:23

🤣 I’m sure I don’t really want symptoms but I do wish I had a window into my uterus and could just check everything was going ok in there!
It’s just makes me fret a little when I feel exactly the same as I did when I wasn’t pregnant!

Whiffle77 · 27/03/2020 08:31

I'm sure it's just the 12 week midwife guys, they wouldnt cancel 12 week scans - please dont worry just yet! Strange times to be pregnant I know.
I'm puffing up hills too but I think that's due to being in isolation and therefore getting more and more unfit! Need to get back to exercising!! I dont have painful boobs though which was my main symptom last time.
I'm a bit anxious about no private scans though, had wanted an 8 week reassurance one given my previous MC but that seems unlikely now.

Clemmie83 · 27/03/2020 08:52

They still seem to be doing private scans where I am. Would you recommend an early reassurance scan and if so at how many weeks? This is my first and I'm so anxious, I think I could really do with some reassurance that everything is progressing as it should be!

MrsC2018 · 27/03/2020 09:10

Hey ladies, VERY tentative joining if that's ok. I'm newly pregnant following IVF, and to say it's been traumatic is an understatement. I'm 4+2 today and initial due date 2nd Dec. I had 2 embryos transferred on Friday 13th so clearly bad luck works for me, and given that this was my 5th transfer I'm willing to take any luck the universe can give! I have a nearly 12 year old already and am 36 so no spring chicken but absolutely terrified so I may end up observing from a distance to keep my sanity

marlibs3 · 27/03/2020 09:23

Where can people still get private early scans? In Edinburgh the few places I called are closing either bc it's considered non-essential or bc the workers are going to do NHS work. I wouldn't mind going a little further afield for some reassurance but feel quite guilty about the whole thing...

Clemmie83 · 27/03/2020 09:25

@MrsC2018 Wishing you all the luck in the world! I'm also 36 and pregnant with my 1st after 15 months of trying. I'm due on 30th November so very early stages too and really hoping everything goes well!

tossacoin1 · 27/03/2020 09:26

@Figey I'm 4 weeks today and have no symptoms either, I feel no different. So I know what you mean, as much as I'm sure I'm going to regret saying it later I want something so it feels real

Beccarans89 · 27/03/2020 09:28

@marlibs3 we're nearly due date twins! I'm 5 wks tomorrow, due on 28th at the moment although lots can change! Did you do your midwife referral through your GP? I haven't heard anything yet and wondering whether to self refer as well but might give it a few days!

@mrsc2018 wow congratulations! What a journey you have been on, so lovely to hear your news and let us know if we can help at all!

@savethewales I'm so sorry to hear that lovely, please don't lose hope and let us know if we can do anything. Definitely speak to your GP if it does come xxx

MrsC2018 · 27/03/2020 09:41

@Beccarans89 and @Clemmie83 thanks 😭 I've never had test pics to post before! These are yesterday's tests but I'm too scared to take anymore. I've had that digital for 4 years, it went out of date 2 years ago but I've refused to pee on it until I knew it would say "pregnant"

I've got an early scan booked for 20th April and if they see a heartbeat(s) then I'm discharged from the IVF clinic 🎉

the clinic told me to call my doctors to book in with the midwives, does that seem too soon to you guys? With my son I think I had to wait until around 8 weeks to book in with them, but things may be different these days I know

marlibs3 · 27/03/2020 09:42

@Beccarans89 yay! I called my GP which gave me the number for the local midwife unit. I called them at 4+3 and they set both appointments (at 8+4 and 12+4 I think). Just yesterday I got letters about both appointments and some baby info leaflets which made it all feel v real! If you have your midwife unit number then I would call them and check-up, there's no harm in that :)

Clemmie83 · 27/03/2020 09:50

@MrsC2018 I think everywhere is different, I called my doctor a couple of days ago and was told that at the moment you need to self refer to the midwife, there's a form to fill in online but it can't be completed until 6 weeks. Just so worried with the way things are that appointments are being delayed/reduced!

Mctm123 · 27/03/2020 09:54

@MrsC2018 I’m also pregnant following ivf! 5 weeks today. I’m 36 on Monday. This is my last frozen embryo following 2 miscarriages with previous ones one in December and one the previous November. I am absolutely petrified but trying to stay calm. I don’t feel that many symptoms an that’s worrying as I was like this last time...luckily I have a gorgeous 4 year old little boy who was conceived naturally but since then we have been dealing with secondary infertility. I don’t post much on these sites but nice to know someone else is in the same boat. Scary thought that the 7 week scan I have to go alone too!! Xx
