Hi all,

I'm jumping the gun a little with this as I'm pregnant and found out earlier than a missed period (it's 3 days away)

I had a miscarriage at the start of February so I'm terrified, but trying to be optimistic all will be okay. My lines are getting darker, which they didn't do last time.

Anyone else due in December?

Hey @confused107, I think I remember you from and IVF thread.
I am feeling normal so to speak at the moment. This was our last attempt as couldn't put myself through it again. As we started all this before clinic put a hold on everyone's cycle we were very lucky.
How you feeling coping?

Amyjenks2 · 09/04/2020 12:52

@Babydance255 sound just like me lol n I jut wanna be past 12 weeks so anxious with all what’s going on x

bitheby · 09/04/2020 13:17

Come and join us here. There are several of us in a similar place. I'm TTC with a donor and chances to become pregnant are limited. I'm keeping my hopes right down in case this pregnancy ends but it's nice to have an outlet for talking about the anxieties and the burgeoning excitement that I keep trying to squash again.

bitheby · 09/04/2020 13:28

I live completely in the middle of nowhere. Currently in my garden watching the lambs in the fields around me.

My closest private scan clinic is around 90 minutes drive away and in a city. Where I live the confirmed covid cases are still well under 100 in the whole county. A drive to a city seems like a risk and all it would give me is reassurance but whatever is happening inside me is happening whether I know about it or not. I can't change it.

I keep flip flopping. Mostly, it's a definite not worth it. But I would like to know.

Emerald89 · 09/04/2020 13:32

Yeah @bitheby I’m the same. desperately want to see what’s going on in there but it won’t make a difference if I have a scan or not.

MrsC2018 · 09/04/2020 13:35

@bitheby I'm front line nursing staff, work in an area with confirmed COVID 19 cases, live in a city and 20 mins from the scanning place. Plus I was bleeding red blood on Saturday, literally a no brainier for me 😂 I don't believe I put myself at any greater risk than I am generally because I can't self isolate and have no health factors that require me too

AnnieCa34 · 09/04/2020 13:37

Welcome to all the new people! I am having a bad day due to waking up with cramps and then having a dream that I had a MC I then was freaked out the entire night and slept so badly. Cramps are gone now but have a headache. Nausea but it seems to help eating little and often! I have a scan 18th when I will be 7+4 as I want the reassurance and also fiancé can go in whereas as it stands now he can’t come in at the 12 weeks scan. It’s about 25 mins to the scan place.

bitheby · 09/04/2020 13:52

No criticism at all of anyone who is going for a scan. I wish I lived close enough to one to get it. I work in the NHS too and in a hospital but not a district hospital. We have a strange set up here as it's rural.

If I catch covid-19 by doing anything unnecessary to me and put myself or my baby at risk I would never forgive myself.

If I catch it another way then so be it.

Mrsjones30 · 09/04/2020 14:19

@bitheby to be fair the clinics that offer private scans are taking the message precautions to prevent any covid spread

It's the same as what your GP would do if you had to go see them? ( I had to see my go this morning and he wore a mask Apron and gloves as did I)

Also you can catch it going to the supermarket or corner shop or even off your post that you receive everyday?

Rosie39 · 09/04/2020 16:14

@MrsC2018 I also work for nhs currently - can I ask if you’re still going in/patient facing ? Unsure what to do!

MrsC2018 · 09/04/2020 17:03

Hey @Rosie39 I was moved last week to non direct patient facing but in the same team but that was a decision by my manager. My team have been amazing and supported me through 2 years of IVF treatment before this so I didn't even need to think about it. Not sure if it will make a massive difference to my risk over all as I'm still in the area where everyone is but I'm not expected to be on my feet as much which I'm really grateful as we all work 3 long days ❤️

Rosie399 · 09/04/2020 18:54

@MrsC2018 I’ve only just found out ... so didn’t really want to tell my manager before 12weeks just to make sure everything is okay. But obviously in the light of the current situation I don’t know what to do 😭

hollye224 · 09/04/2020 19:12

I'm also in a patient facing role in the NHS, I have been moved to office based now!
I am considering a private scan but the nearest one that is open is one hour away, we have a toddler and I don't think he would be allowed with us?? Also can't leave him with a relative.. probably just wait for the 12 week scan xxx

RyanStartedTheFire · 09/04/2020 19:14

Hi, just got my BFP today, tentatively joining the thread as my LMP puts me at 3w2d with a due date of December 22nd. This will be my 3rd DC and I'm usually induced around 38w so definitely a December baby (fingers crossed)!

Rosie399 · 09/04/2020 19:41

I forgot to add my due date is dec 16 :) so literally just four weeks

AliSxo · 09/04/2020 19:43

@Rosie399 I'm 3+5 so not far behind you x

Rosie399 · 09/04/2020 19:50

@alisxo fab we can do the journey together :-) is it your first?

YahBasic · 09/04/2020 20:07

@Rosie39 my due date Is either 16th or 17th! Thought I was 4 weeks yesterday, but actually realised it was today.

MrsB2019x · 09/04/2020 20:32

Feeling the bloat this evening! 🐷

How is everyone else doing?

Emerald89 · 09/04/2020 20:37

Just had a Chinese takeaway so definitely feeling the bloat haha

rooarsome · 09/04/2020 20:43

Hi all! I had my booking in appointment today. The midwife was lovely and very reassuring about the haematoma found on my scan the other day. Apparently booking bloods are now done at 12 weeks which I was unaware of! BP was fine and I have a prescription for the increased folic acid and aspirin (to start at 12/52)
These cramps are still worrying me though, they've never been so bad in my other pregnancies x

Babydance255 · 09/04/2020 20:47

To be honest @MrsB2019x i feel fine, a bit of cramping today and quite tired throughout (don't know if it is the heat though) i've been a sweatbox!

I was getting changed earlier and my fiancé come in and was like wooaah your boobs have got bigger 😂

I also, just had a lovely bit of cheesecake 🤤🤤🤤

How're you doing? x

MrsB2019x · 09/04/2020 21:06

@Babydance255 I’d usually love a bit of cheesecake but I genuinely feel like I can’t fit it in 😂

@rooarsome Glad your appt went well! How many weeks are you?

Bassbeh17 · 09/04/2020 21:12

Hi, jumping in on this thread! Found out 5 days before period due which is tomorrow! Three clear blue strong positives without fmu!!
Currently just sore boobs and period like cramps oh and my skins cleared up!
Joining on here for some reassurance as I’m very excited but scared as it’s so early. I’m a nanny and still working so have had to tell my bosses.
Due date Dec 18th!

Hatepickinganame · 09/04/2020 21:12

@Babydance255 send cheesecake! The kids have eaten all the good snacks 🤣
