Hi all,

I'm jumping the gun a little with this as I'm pregnant and found out earlier than a missed period (it's 3 days away)

I had a miscarriage at the start of February so I'm terrified, but trying to be optimistic all will be okay. My lines are getting darker, which they didn't do last time.

Anyone else due in December?

Awww so mice to see lovely scans already @MrsC2018 and @marlibs3 ! I'm looking forward to mine but still another 2 weeks and 3 days to wait, only previous ectopic pregnancies can get scans before 7 weeks where I am then the closest appointment I could get on a weekend was 7+4.

AliSxo · 09/04/2020 08:58

Has anyone else had lower back ache? I've taken 2 paracetamol but I woke up with it hurting, I think I'm cautious as I had an early loss in October but back pain wasn't something I had, I've had mild cramps over the last few days but they've come and gone quickly and don't feel like period cramps, I feel nauseous today xx

littletandme · 09/04/2020 08:59

Everyone who has requested to join our FB group should have an invite. If anyone else wants to join just send me a message through the web version of Mumsnet with your FB email address and I can invite you Smile

Mrsjones30 · 09/04/2020 09:02

@@littletandme I'd love to join if that's okay 🥰

YahBasic · 09/04/2020 09:08

@AliSxo I have! Felt like my lower back has been really stiff. We went for a walk yesterday which eased it slightly.

AliSxo · 09/04/2020 09:09

@YahBasic aww that's a relief, its quite uncomfortable I hope it shifts soon, it's central and low in my back ☹️ xx

littletandme · 09/04/2020 09:11

@Mrsjones30 of course, you just need to message me the email address you use for FB so I can send an invite x

Babydance255 · 09/04/2020 09:18

@Amyjenks2 Oh no that's not good! I am really hot all the time 😂 i'm up throughout the night too, but that's inly because my thrush wakes me up😩 The stuff the doctor prescribed me is out of stock everywhere. So I am sending my partner just to get me some canesten on his way home from work 😩. My boobs are the only thing that hurts & the occasional cramp. Just want these next 8 weeks to fly by! x

YahBasic · 09/04/2020 09:23

I don’t think it’s quite nausea but I’ve woken up with like a nervous, stomach-churning feeling.

Hatepickinganame · 09/04/2020 09:33

Morning all, think im getting the first signs of nausea. Just a vague sicky feeling... all 3 of my pregnancies i had quite bad all day nausea but was only ever sick once 😳 best get some ginger biscuits in lol

Lovely scan pics guys, glad everything is going well! Seems such a long time til our first scan but hoping by the the rules will be a little more relaxed so oh can come too.

GreenerGreen · 09/04/2020 09:45

Awhhh look at those scans, such lovely news!! I've booked one too. I'll be 8 weeks by that point, just feel I need to reassurance and also thinking of sharing the photo with our parents for the first time.

I did another pregnancy test this morning as my boobs have reduced and stopped hurting. I read on an earlier message on the thread that it's a sign of your body no longer being pregnant! But it was positive - phew.

Hope everyone is feeling okay and managing their symptoms! The sickness is horrid but I've found eating small meals regularly helpful.

xx

littletandme · 09/04/2020 09:49

@GreenerGreen I don't know who said that but symptoms disappearing being a sign of being no longer pregnant is total rubbish!

I had barely any symptoms with my first, sometimes you just get lucky that your body reacts well to the hormones therefore you barely see any changes in the first few weeks.

MrsB2019x · 09/04/2020 09:58

Despite another red bleed last night our little one seems to still be hanging on in there 🤞

You lot are making me tempted to book a private scan for a few weeks 👀 what companies have you used? Not sure who would still be open x

MrsC2018 · 09/04/2020 10:05

@Emerald89 yeah, full PPE - full gowns, masks, gloves. We were only allowed in the building 5 mins before the apt, all couples kept in their car and called in at their time slot. Asked to wash hands and put on alcogel as we walked in. All doors opened so no handles etc touched.
We went with Window to the Womb as it's local and allowed my husband in with me as I really believed I was getting bad news and didn't want to be alone.

Safer than a trip to tesco, and for me, more essential ❤️

Hannahbobs · 09/04/2020 10:05

I really hope so re scans by the time we reach 12 weeks @hatepickinganame I know it's for safety reasons but my husband, and I'm sure most others too, would be so so gutted to miss the first scan. And it would be horrible for anyone potentially receiving bad news alone too x

Babydance255 · 09/04/2020 10:27

@MrsB2019x I have booked my scan with Hey Baby, a few of my friends went there and it's 5 minutes from my house. So we shall she what it is like. With your private scans ladies, could partners come in with you? x

Babydance255 · 09/04/2020 10:28

Sorry. Just saw @MrsC2018 said her husband went in with her ☺️x

Hatepickinganame · 09/04/2020 10:33

Im seriously tempted to book one now. Just noticed some brown discharge which i know is perfectly normal and probably nothing to worry about but some reassurance would be nice 😳

Emerald89 · 09/04/2020 10:38

@MrsC2018 that’s really good to know, makes me feel better about considering getting an early scan. There’s a Window to the Womb a mile from my home. My husband is adamant it’s not necessary, which is true but I don’t think he really “gets it”. (I can’t drive at the moment so he would need to drive me!)

GreenerGreen · 09/04/2020 10:50

@littletandme it's really hard not to take everything you hear on this forum as gospel! As not speaking with close friends and family about the pregnancy.

Squeezy212 · 09/04/2020 11:17

Can I join please? Found out this morning, 3 days after expected AF. Due date is mid december

LuLaLaLa · 09/04/2020 11:34

Hi all, I am tentatively dipping my toe in here. I have just found out that I am pregnant. I think I am 5 weeks 1 day as last period was 1st March and cycle usually around 31 days. I am getting due dates of 7/8/9th December depending which online calculator I use.

This pregnancy is a little surprise so hubs and I are just trying to get our heads round things.

Feeling ok. Cramping on the left side but nothing too bad. No bleeding or anything and feel generally fine so far.

I can self refer for the midwife but will sit tight for now until I call. Maybe in a week or so to start the ball rolling. At least we don't need to avoid social situations and cover up lack of drinking alcohol at the moment haha! xx

TrulyMiss · 09/04/2020 11:38

Hi all
Can I join too? I’m 4 + 3, found out last Sunday! Excited as we had to get a little help (letrozole) but also v nervous something will go wrong.
So far I have a funny warm/fuzzy sensation low down (can’t think of a better way to describe it) and my boobs have grown already. I’ve had to order new bras as I think mine won’t fit anymore by the time they arrive 😂

41trying · 09/04/2020 11:54

Morning ladies, I hope you dont mind if i join. Slightly different for me as it's a IVF baby. My official test date is tomorrow but have been testing the last few days and have strong lines. I could find another thread to speak openly. I know it is really early days and lots can happen but just needed a friendly place to chat. Know body knows about the IVf I have children from previous marriage then got sterlized. Hubby and I have no children together, this was our 5 go at IVF, long winded and expensive.

confused107 · 09/04/2020 12:01

Hi @41trying. I'm in a similar position to you. 6 weeks pregnant today on second round of IVF. Can I just say that I think you are amazing for having gone through 5 rounds- I don't think I would have the strength for any more. Like you we haven't told anyone in real life about this yet, and with self isolating it all feels pretty weird! How are you feeling?
