Hi all,

I'm jumping the gun a little with this as I'm pregnant and found out earlier than a missed period (it's 3 days away)

I had a miscarriage at the start of February so I'm terrified, but trying to be optimistic all will be okay. My lines are getting darker, which they didn't do last time.

Anyone else due in December?

Gals I've got some exciting news! I went for my private scan today and we've got a healthy little peanut with a strong heartbeat!! 🥳

I'm 6w2d instead of 6w5d but that makes sense since my bbt indicated I ovulate late.

Absolutely over the moon!

@vegisaurus I’m exactly four weeks today too!

Same, no symptoms whatsoever. I actually have no idea what even made me test.

Babydance255 · 08/04/2020 20:51

Ahhhh @marlibs3 that is great news girl! 🥰🥰🥰

vegisaurus · 08/04/2020 20:55

@yahbasic nice to know someone at the same stage! I had (what I now realise to be) implantation bleeding at 7dpo but other than that not much. I only tested because I was due today and nothing came.

lionsmum · 08/04/2020 20:58

@marlibs3 lovely news! CongratsSmile

MrsB2019x · 08/04/2020 21:01

@marlibs3 Ahh look at that little bean! How exciting 🥰

AnnieCa34 · 08/04/2020 21:04

@marlibs3 congrats! I’m 6+1 so very close to you. Have my scan Saturday 18th so a way off but I suspect I may be further along as ovulated early. Must be so amazing to see that on the scan!

littletandme · 08/04/2020 21:08

Hi everyone, if you'd like to join the December 2020 Babies private Facebook group, please send me a message through the web version of Mumsnet with your FB email address and I can invite you Smile

YahBasic · 08/04/2020 21:34

@marlibs3 amazing to see!!

Has anyone got names that they are set on or considering?

bitheby · 08/04/2020 21:37

Lovely photo. I really want a private scan now. Were you able to travel ok and did they have good infection control procedures? I would have to travel a long way to get one.

No sore boobs for me. I have mild cramping and back ache but that is off and on. Eating a lot more than usual and really tired and irritable.

Babydance255 · 08/04/2020 21:41

@YahBasic we are set on names 🙋🏼‍♀️ have been for a couple of months lol. Been deciding since we started trying x

MrsC2018 · 08/04/2020 22:05

All is well, I'm 6w today and there's a heartbeat 💓 no reason found for the bleeding. Sooooo thankful! Now just got to try and wait for the IVF scan on the 20th when I'll be 7+5

Awww what beautiful scans both off you!! So happy for you guys, so eager to get a scan but still waiting for the hospital to get back to me xx

MumOfBoys6 · 09/04/2020 02:10

Anyone else in the TWW?

aitch07 · 09/04/2020 07:36

@Emerald89 I'm 5+4 and no real symptoms other than being incredibly bloated. I felt really nauseous one afternoon last week but that's it and it went as quickly as it came. I know I'll probably regret it but I'm desperate to have symptoms. Time has never gone so slowly! Yesterday I went past the point I had a MC last time. I know it doesn't actually mean anything but somehow felt like a milestone! Wishing you all the very best x

aitch07 · 09/04/2020 07:37

@MrsC2018 wow!! That's amazing. You must be so happy and relieved. Hoping I can have a private 6week scan next week x

marlibs3 · 09/04/2020 07:41

@bitheby travel was fine, we had to drive 50m from our house but we didn't get stopped or anything.

The clinic was very clean and spacious and obviously they wore gloves. There was disposable bed protectors. I felt safe though obviously the examiner has to get close to you to insert the camera (which btw didn't hurt at all, they're covered in "lube").

And super congratulations @MrsC2018!! So glad to hear the little one is fine :)

lionsmum · 09/04/2020 07:51

Congrats @MrsC2018 that's fantastic news and really reassuring Smile

Hannahbobs · 09/04/2020 07:56

Congrats @MrsC2018
Were you allowed partners with you for thr private clinic scans?

fmturn · 09/04/2020 08:38

@hannahbobs I'm the same as you! I had really sore boobs and bloating on 4-5 weeks then they have sort of started to fade out. I'm 6+2 now and seem to just have occasional bouts of nausea but my boobs are fine now. I did read symptoms can come and go and its just how your body deals with hormones to what sort of symptoms you get.

Amyjenks2 · 09/04/2020 08:43

@Babydance255 I’m not sleeping well at all teking me forever to drop off any when u do I’m to hog and waking every few hours for the toilet! No sickness yet I had it awful with my son but hoping not to have it this time I get pains and cramps in my lower stomach thou I hsbr googled says it’s normal but it is slightly worrying I’m die around d the 7th December wbu x

Emerald89 · 09/04/2020 08:48

@MrsC2018 did they wear PPE? As Public Health guidelines are for all patient contacts staff should wear PPE. I know it’s a weird question but I’m not sure I would let a HCW get that close to me right now without PPE. Maybe I’m being excessive.

Hannahbobs · 09/04/2020 08:55

@fmturn I read they can come and go too which reassured me! Maybe our bodies have got used the the current increase in hormone levels! My main symptom now is insomnia...I cannot sleep past 5am! And some slight nausea now but I'm pretty sure that was due to the morning workout i just did Grin
