Hi all,

I'm jumping the gun a little with this as I'm pregnant and found out earlier than a missed period (it's 3 days away)

I had a miscarriage at the start of February so I'm terrified, but trying to be optimistic all will be okay. My lines are getting darker, which they didn't do last time.

Anyone else due in December?

Hi can I join?

Found out I'm expecting my second child in December. My daughter will be 3 in September.

Dreamcatcher34 · 04/04/2020 14:33

Hi... found out two days ago. I have two kids from a previous marriage. This one is with a guy it really shouldn’t have happened with. I’m scared and upset but I’ve also wanted another baby for so long, I’m thinking is it really a bad thing? Hopefully not. I also feel a very old mum at 34. I was early twenties last time. Good luck everyone, hope all goes well.

Hakunamatata9 · 04/04/2020 20:25

Hey all!

Also just stumbled across this thread on google! I think I’m due around the 5th December! I have a little one who is 19 months and should all go ok there will a 2 year 3 month age gap which is a little closer than I thought I’d have! We weren’t trying for long then thought because of the current situation it may be best to hang on (maybe aim for 3 year age gap) anyway so time of the month hasn’t arrived and the test is a faint positive! I’m happy but also anxious because of the world right now. Then I though damn everyone gonna say I’m part of the corona virus baby boom 😆🤣

Have skimmed through and congratulations everyone it’s exciting but nerve wracking.

Haven’t told anyone yet just other half xx

jtc19 · 04/04/2020 21:21

Hey, Welcome & Congratulations to all the new mums to be!!! It is a very anxious time rn being pregnant and with the current state of the world...
Also anyone else struggling to eat, everything just doesn't taste right been having to force myself but not getting a lot down it's like I've had a complete loss of appetite any suggestions on what could help?

Emerald89 · 04/04/2020 21:24

@Dreamcatcher34 in my friendship group 34 is not an unusual first time mum age so don’t feel old!

Clemmie83 · 04/04/2020 22:08

@jtc19 I'm exactly the same, I've really gone off my food and have actually lost weight over the past 2 weeks...although that might be partly due to lack of wine calories!

littletandme · 04/04/2020 22:21

@Trytowin20 my little girl will be 3 in August! How are you feeling about the age gap?

Beccarans89 · 04/04/2020 22:36

@jtc19 @clemmie83 I've been exactly the same too! During the day I don't fancy much at all and then usually just have a bigger meal in the evening! It's so hard when you know you should be eating though! Try snacking little and often, and I've been opting for mainly dry stuff!

Is anyone else struggling with bloating? I'm fine in the morning but by the evening my stomach feels so huge and bloated even if I've not eaten much!

Hope everyone has had a good day!

Dreamcatcher34 · 04/04/2020 23:22

I feel sick constantly and it’s much worse of an evening. Stomach cramps are awful too. Definitely not wanting to eat at all. Although I suppose I do feel a bit better after I’ve eaten.

jtc19 · 05/04/2020 02:42

@clemmie83 I know! It's a real struggle and so overwhelming not being able to eat things I'd normally enjoy but hopefully my appetite comes back soon x

@Beccarans89 Yeah it seems I can only really stomach one full meal a day I try snacking on fruits also during the day and I'm also just trying to eat plain dry foods as everything with flavour seems to taste horrible and yeah I am really bloated through out the day just feel massive but I'm only 5+2 so just looks ive put on weight x

rooarsome · 05/04/2020 10:29

Good morning all! How is everyone feeling this morning? Still no sickness here thank goodness but definitely off my usual food 😅 x

CrazyCatLady2788 · 05/04/2020 11:15

@rooarsome I haven't had sickness yet either! I've gone off some foods too and have sore boobs. I've been tired but i'm always tired 🤣 Sometimes I worry about lack of symptoms ha. I'm 5+5 at the mo x

ChampooPapi · 05/04/2020 11:35

@CrazyCatLady2788 sickness symptoms really don't start usually until around 6 or seven weeks so sure you'll join the club soon!😉 Pray you don't, trust me it's rubbish 🤢

Emerald89 · 05/04/2020 11:35

@rooarsome Feel exhausted and very sore boobs. Luckily no food related symptoms yet!! 5+2 today

ChampooPapi · 05/04/2020 11:41

Hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones, some queasyness can start earlier but the full blown hit by a truck sickness won't kick in untill around then. So for anyone feeling a bit sick now, it's lightly to get worse before it gets better so get as much as you can done. 4th pregnancy here, we lost the last one, but I've been to this barbeque before and I am literally incompetent from weeks 7 untill ten, like as much use as a chocolate tea pot!

I'm six and 2, ish, and I've been feeling a bit queasy on and off the past week, and generally fairly feeble, but I know the worst is to come and I'll be begging for this feeling in a few weeks time. Can only hope it'll be different this time but I think it's the rule rather then the exception that most women to kind of crash and burn for at least a few weeks in this first trimester.

Be kind to yourselves ladies, and potatoes are your friends 😋

Emerald89 · 05/04/2020 11:55

@ChampooPapi hope so. My mum had 24/7 nausea until 16/40 with me. Hopefully not my future!

Hakunamatata9 · 05/04/2020 12:12

I’m not looking forward to sickness! Fine at the moment not many symptoms just more tired than usual and not sleeping as well but that’s a mix of the world right now as well! 5 + 1 today. It’s already going quicker than my first! And hopefully at least be easier to hide feeling rubbish as not going into work etc.

With my last one, I felt quite sicky until week 14, my mum did an amazing roast and I was sick, then I literally did not feel sick again at all after that! So strange!!

Happy Sunday everyone! Sun is shining here xx

rooarsome · 05/04/2020 13:18

I had HG with my first (girl) literally the whole way through, but nothing really with my second (boy) x

Hakunamatata9 · 05/04/2020 16:23

I do keep getting stomach aches which is weirding me out, I don’t think I got them last time :( higher up though not like craps!? Dull ache sometimes get worse sometimes better?

Mrsjones30 · 05/04/2020 17:58

Anyone else feeling rather grotty?
I'm 4+4 and I'm so exhausted and the cramps are horrid 😒
I had HG with my first daughter but that was 10 years ago I'm scared it's gonna come back

Trytowin20 · 05/04/2020 18:52

I'm just exhausted here and sore boobs. Tested because of it (just to rule it out...)
I didn't suffer with sickness last time so I'm hoping I will take the same route this time. Though I did have GD controlled by insulin and severe SPD (with crutches for most of pregnancy) that route I'm hoping for not so much 😆.

AnnieCa34 · 05/04/2020 19:23

Hi, I have no appetite either and the thought of certain foods makes me gag! So yeh I have lost weight now too! Just don’t want to eat! Except cheese I could eat cheese right now 😂. My cramps are a lot better now but do have a stomach ache higher you. Think it’s has/bloating/constipation! What fun pregnancy is! But if he results a healthy baby that’s all I want! I am 5+5 but I think I am further along as I ovulated earlier than normal. So prob 6+1 maybe. Either way don’t feel great normally around lunch is my best time and then the afternoon is pretty crappy. Congrats to all the one that have joined! Sorry I haven’t tagged you all!

jtc19 · 05/04/2020 21:05

Hey does anyone what I do once I've filled out the pregnancy form on my local hospital website, like what happens next I'm so new to all this do not sure what to do now x

MariaDingbat · 05/04/2020 21:30

Hello and congratulations to everyone! Can I join in? I had my positive test on Tuesday, which gives me a due date of the 6th of December and I'm both excited and rather nervous. This will hopefully be my first child and I turned 40 in January. I had 2 miscarriages last year, one at 5 weeks and a missed one at 10 weeks so I am second guessing every twinge and ache right now! Plus I have Hashimotos and am staying 100 miles from home looking after a disabled sibling during this lockdown so I'm a little worried about access to doctors/prescription etc. But generally I'm excited and enjoying being hopeful and being able to nap whenever I need to.

Pettirosso · 05/04/2020 22:51

Hello all. Also expecting in early December. All very early but keeping absolutely everything crossed 🤞. Hope you are all as well as can be despite these trying times. Who knows what stories we will tell them our special lockdown babies.
