Hi all,

I'm jumping the gun a little with this as I'm pregnant and found out earlier than a missed period (it's 3 days away)

I had a miscarriage at the start of February so I'm terrified, but trying to be optimistic all will be okay. My lines are getting darker, which they didn't do last time.

Anyone else due in December?

@Babydance255 it's baby #2 for me with a huge 11 year gap so it feels brand new all over again 😊 I'm much more nervous this time but I was 22 last time so was young and carefree.

Clemmie83 · 04/04/2020 06:16

So last night my private scan booked for 19th April was cancelled! Apparently all their staff have been called to support the NHS until 4th May. So disappointing but I suppose completely understandable given the current situation. I won't lie, I had a cry about it...although I cry at a lot at the moment, my emotions are all over the place! 🙈

Have rebooked for the 5th May, I'll be just gone 10 weeks by then but I was thinking at least it's something to aim for, especially with a lot of the 12 week scans being delayed!

Just wanted a bit of early reassurance that everything will be ok, I feel so on edge that something will go wrong!

ineedamiracle2020 · 04/04/2020 06:34

Sorry to hear that @Clemmie83 ☹️ none of the private scan places are open where I live so I'll just have to wait for my 12 week scan- I really hope my boyfriend can come with me but I'm not counting on it. My SIL had a phone call yesterday evening advising her to go to her 20 week scan alone!

Clemmie83 · 04/04/2020 06:40

@ineedamiracle2020 I'm the same, I so want my husband to be at the scan, both to support me and for his own experience as I'd feel really sorry for him to miss out! I've got everything crossed but it's not looking promising at the moment! 😔

ineedamiracle2020 · 04/04/2020 06:47

@Clemmie83 I know me neither, we've been on this ttc journey for two years so it's a bit unfair if he doesn't get to experience it all because it's our first! Hopefully it will have all changed by the end of May for my first scan fingers crossed 🤞 have you booked your scan yet?

Clemmie83 · 04/04/2020 06:53

@ineedamiracle2020 ahhhh congratulations after all that time! I know the feeling, we were trying for 15 months and was waiting on our referral to the fertility clinic, it's also our first. I haven't got anything booked in yet, unfortunately in my area you need to self refer to the midwife team however you can't do that until 6 weeks which is Monday for me so I'll be doing it then to hopefully get the ball rolling...although it says they'll get back to you within 10 days! Everything seems to take so long! 🙈

ineedamiracle2020 · 04/04/2020 06:59

@Clemmie83 it's such an amazing feeling isn't it , congrats to you too 🥳 We have a little clomid baba growing so hopefully a strong little jellybean! I'm so excited by soooo anxious, trying not to think about it too much (biggest LOL 😂). The docs gave me the number and got myself referred straight away! Have my first midwife appointment at 7 weeks on the 29th of this month don't know what to expect to be honest! Have you told anyone ? I've told me mum and two closest sisters on my side x

Clemmie83 · 04/04/2020 07:14

@ineedamiracle2020 I know, I'm so excited but so scared at the same time!! I'd be devastated if anything went wrong after trying for so long, plus I'm 36 so I feel like time isn't really on my side...I swing from being mega excited looking at baby stuff online and thinking of names to trying to contain my excitement so I don't get too attached incase the worst happens. It's a rollercoaster of emotions! I've only told my mum so far, desperate to tell my friends but I think I might try and hold off a bit longer! It's such a hard secret to keep...although staying at home does make it easier I suppose! Not having to hide not drinking...that would give me away straight away! 🤣

rooarsome · 04/04/2020 07:35

Aw I'm sorry to hear about your private scan Hun! I'm going to phone the community midwives on Monday and see where I go from there. I had an ectopic a few years ago and was advised that I need early scans in the future but apparently the BEP in my area is totally booked up at the moment 🤦🏻‍♀️ x

ineedamiracle2020 · 04/04/2020 07:37

@Clemmie83 I know exactly what you mean, I've picked out the baby cot and have been looking at buggies already🤣 can't be contained haha ! I'm not telling anyone outside of my family until the scan I think want to make sure everything is ok! I don't drink often, but I'd suspect they'd know something was up if I said no every weekend so I'm glad we're in isolation also 😂

SophLGx · 04/04/2020 08:40

Hi can I join ?
Just over 5 weeks now, due 03/12 - had a miscarriage around 5 weeks end of Jan so not feeling the best about everything especially given the situation right now!
Was also meant to move house this month but it’s a new build so put on hold for however long.
So stressful and very anxious about the next few months x

lionsmum · 04/04/2020 08:48

@AnnieCa34 thank you so much💙 yes we're going to find out this time, we didn't with our son but I just knew all the way through that he was a boy, I had such a strong feeling, but I'm not quite sure with this little bean yet! That's lovely, it's all so excitingSmile

I'm 24 & no2 for me! We had to tell my in-laws last night due to other personal reasons to I think we're going to tell my mum and her partner tonight, doesn't feel right one set of parents knowing and not the other. Not how I was planning on telling them and I really wanted to wait until after our early scan but needs must I guess!

LBJ2410 · 04/04/2020 12:03

@SophLGx welcome and congrats ☺️

I'm also due on the 3rd! This is my first pregnancy but we went through IVF so it feels like it's taken a lot to get to this point so im feeling very anxious too!

Really sorry to hear about your previous loss, hopefully you will be absolutely fine this time!

Beccarans89 · 04/04/2020 12:06

Test

Lemondropsandgumdrops · 04/04/2020 12:08

My spotting seems to have slowed down so really hoping that’s it, it was only ever a little and only light brown so really hoping it was just delayed implantation bleeding coming out or something.

I had a lot of cramps with my first and starting to feel it again with this one! My first hasn’t slept for the last 2 nights, so alongside pregnancy tiredness I feel absolutely exhausted. DH very kindly got up with DD at 6am (she woke every hour from midnight, and didn’t go back to sleep after 4!) so I could sleep until 11 which was amazing and really helped me catch up a little!

Time is really dragging though, I just want the scan dates to hurry up round

Beccarans89 · 04/04/2020 12:10

Ignore that last message, I was checking it worked as a couple haven't this morning!

Hi all, hope you're ok! So after some very anxious days with spotting on and off for nearly a week we had an early reassurance scan this morning! I had prepared myself for the worst but very relieved to say that baby is well and in the right place etc and we managed to see the little heart beating! We are so pleased, but now just hope the next few weeks pass quickly as I know we all are!

@Clemmie83 I'm so sorry to hear about your scan, I'm not surprised you were upset! Whereabouts are you? Is there anywhere else you could have one? X

Beccarans89 · 04/04/2020 12:13

@lemondropsandgumgrops I'm so pleased to hear your spotting has died down, I'm sure everything is absolutely fine! I'm glad you've had some chance to rest this morning!!

Clemmie83 · 04/04/2020 12:20

@Beccarans89 Congratulations on the early scan, that must be a big relief! In terms of mine, I'm in Bournemouth so there's not loads of options, I think most places are shutting now to help the NHS, I'll just have to be patient...easier said than done! 🙄

Beccarans89 · 04/04/2020 12:23

@clemmie83 thank you so much lovely! Oooh you're not too far, I'm in Southampton! I know of a couple of places in Southampton and one in Romsey, worth keeping in mind x

SophLGx · 04/04/2020 12:28

@LBJ2410 awww congratulations ❤️ Hope everything is going well for you!
We will be first time parents, I’m hoping by the time Nov/Dec comes around we won’t have all this to worry about as much.
A few friends of mine are due in the next few months and they are having such a hard time with it all☹️
We’re booking an early scan mid April but I really don’t want to go anywhere like GP/hospital. I know you have to but our region is apparently a hotspot. X

Clemmie83 · 04/04/2020 12:29

@Beccarans89 Oohhh how funny! I did think about Southampton but thought that more than likely counts as unnecessary travel! 🙄

LBJ2410 · 04/04/2020 12:40

@SophLGx yeah I think it will have died down a lot by then (hopefully!)

It's awful for people having babies now and family not being able to see them 💔

We've got a scan booked in at our IVF clinic in a couple of weeks so there won't be many people around.. I know what you mean about going to a hospital, it's so scary!

Are there many private clinics near you? I know window to the womb have a lot of clinics around the country x

LBJ2410 · 04/04/2020 12:42

@Beccarans89 that's really good news about your early scan! I had some light spotting yesterday and it really worried me.. so this has given me some reassurance ☺️

Lemondropsandgumdrops · 04/04/2020 12:46

Thanks @Beccarans89 - it’s definitely a relief now it’s stopped! So glad your scan went well. It’s so so lovely to see that little heartbeat for the first time isn’t it!

I really think it’ll be calmer by the time our babies are due. I’m prepared that the likelihood is the first scan I’ll have to attend alone but I’m hopeful that come due dates things will be ‘normal’ again.

SophLGx · 04/04/2020 12:56

@LBJ2410 yeah I really hope so!
Hope it goes well for you ❤️

Yeah we have a window to the womb one about 10 minutes away, they have a few in the Midlands, so we’re going to book that one.
I looked at one a bit further and they are asking people to wait in the cars and they’ll call when the room is ready for them x
