Hi all,

I'm jumping the gun a little with this as I'm pregnant and found out earlier than a missed period (it's 3 days away)

I had a miscarriage at the start of February so I'm terrified, but trying to be optimistic all will be okay. My lines are getting darker, which they didn't do last time.

Anyone else due in December?

Oh no @savethewales I'm so so sorry, that's absolutely heartbreaking for you. Look after yourself and make sure you take proper time to recover. Sending you lots of love

krissygirlxoxo · 30/03/2020 19:19

Heya!! Jumping on this December 2020 wagon. I am due somewhere between 1-3rd December, found out about a week and a half ago, about 4 days before my missed period. Still can't believe I am pregnant again after miscarriage in June last year at 13 weeks. I guess I will believe it when I see the baby on the scan.

Morning everyone, anyone still testing daily?! My period is due tomorrow so just trying to reassure myself but looks like good progression from 11dpo to 13dpo...

Who else is going to be a second/third/fourth time mum?! I'm kinda scared 😂

@finallydec2020 hey! sorry I don't think I'm the best person to give advice as it's my first baby, I'm so confused by it all!! I wonder if the pains persist then it might be worth ringing your doctor? But the book I'm reading says it 's quite normal, your uterus growing and lots of extra blood moving around apparently?!

@Beccarans89 the book is good, it's pretty wordy though and lots of info to take in! I'll have a look at the Ovia app - thanks!

@Emerald89 lol yes a I agree!!

@marlibs3 ohh let me know how you get on, there's a Window to the womb in Manchester too; they're supporting hospitals doing scans as I think they're just overwhelmed right now.

@Mimba1 hoping everything is okay for you xx

@OoOoBabyLove hiii, congrats!!!!

I braved it to the supermarket yesterday to buy a friggin bra, none of mine fit anymore or my jeans!! But that's probably just my lack of exercise and can only blame myself ha!

Girls who are working...has anyone thought about how to save for maternity leave and beyond? me and OH always go halves on most things but feel that's going to be very unfair or not possible once I'm only getting benefits, he's pretty cool with it but just wanted to see what other people are doing. Babies are expensive!!!
I'm going to try and get as much as I can secondhand too.

have a good day everyone xxx

littletandme · 31/03/2020 09:22

@finallydec2020 when I was pregnant with my DD, those were my exact symptoms. They lasted a good few weeks, try not to worry too much as it is literally just your uterus growing to accommodate the pregnancy Smile

marlibs3 · 31/03/2020 09:38

@GreenerGreen I will let you know! I'm going there on the 8th so I'll be sure to update here afterward :)

In terms of saving up, my oh and I put both of our incomes in one pot and then deduct bills/savings before we set the budget for fun stuff. So we'll just be making the savings component as high as we can until baby is here - weirdly because of the isolation (and the not drinking!) we've been spending less so we're hoping to be alright saving like that.

Our issue is that we could live on his salary only if need be, but he wants to be able to take a long chunk of paternity leave so we're saving so that neither of us can work for 3 months, which is rough! I haven't exactly looked at how much maternity pay is, and I don't know what my employer will be up for paying either (I'm assuming not much because it's a small company and there's not been a need for a maternity policy yet...). This is something we were hoping to stress about later down the line 😅

Beccarans89 · 31/03/2020 10:19

@greenergreen good plan, did you manage to get some bits! I'm the same as none of my bras are fitting at the moment and they're uncomfortable so I've ordered some bralettes online so hopefully they're better! I've also been living in gym leggings or normal leggings so god knows what would happen if I put my jeans on 😄 we had a chat about it last night actually and think we will try and get bits second hand and just save as much as we can during lockdown, as @marlibs3 said we aren't spending too much at the moment so hopefully that helps!

How is everyone feeling today? I don't feel sick anymore really but my boobs are getting worse, they're so sore! X

Vividdreamer88 · 31/03/2020 10:53

I was thinking of setting up a Skype with my parents to tell them sort of in person - it makes me quite sad that I can’t tell people in person. Although self isolation means I can probably keep it a secret longer.

marlibs3 · 31/03/2020 11:10

@Beccarans89 I'm starting to get some proper nausea (5+4) and nothing appealed to me for breakfast (and I didn't have dinner last night because of my appetite). I ended up having some plain tortellini haha

I've started to feel a bump too!! Does anyone else have one? Granted it's not really noticeable because I'm a bit chubby but there's definitely something hard under my normal tummy. I don't know how to describe it, it's like my "abs" have gotten thicker. It's proper exciting!

Hope everyone is doing well :)

AnnieCa34 · 31/03/2020 11:57

I don’t feel sick as such but I don’t really feel hungry. Like the thought of food makes me feel urgh, equally I know I should eat. But I don’t really want anything! Normally love food so this is weird! I have a headache and mild cramps today. No sign of a bump yet but I am only 5 weeks. Yeh we are trying to save money but will get some stuff second hand. Least we not spending much now! Not needing petrol but prob more money on food as we home all the time!

Whiffle77 · 31/03/2020 12:23

I'm constantly hungry, cant stop eating! Exacerbated by being home all the time of course! And still really exhausted, and waking up with a hangover. But not much. I got really bloated really fast last time too so that's something to look forward to!
I think we will end up telling people on skype too, it could be months otherwise. It is really sad but as with everything else at the minute - it could be so much worse!

marlibs3 · 31/03/2020 12:42

@AnnieCa34 that's exactly how I'm feeling about food rn too! and I'm such a foodie, I planned such a nice exciting week of recipes good for the first trimester and I absolutely can't be bothered with them!! Trying to keep my vitamins up by having a homemade juice in the mornings with plenty of good vitamins and that seems to go down ok as long as it's cold and refreshing.

AnnieCa34 · 31/03/2020 13:13

@Whiffle77 I am exhausted too! Can’t stop napping, not sure how I wilL cope back at work! Yeh I have booked a scan for 18th April will be 7 weeks 4 days and I think I will tell my parents over Skype if that goes well!
@marlibs3, there is so many things here I could eat and I just can’t bring myself too, trying to drink in how my headache will improve but it’s not working. Forcing myself to eat 3 meals but don’t enjoy them at all. I don’t even want chocolate or crisps! It’s so weird! I will lose weight during pregnancy at this rate! I’m taking pregnacare so hopefully that’s giving the baby everything he needs!

LBJ2410 · 31/03/2020 14:55

Hi everyone! Hope I'm okay to join ☺️

I got a positive test on Friday so due 3rd December according to the apps! First round of IVF and first pregnancy so feeling very lucky but also really anxious about the whole thing.

Got a 7 week scan booked in at our clinic on the 17th April so just praying all is okay and time speeds up!!

Symptoms wise I've just had a few cramps and twinges in my tummy and I'm really tired, other than that I'm still on my food for now!

It will be nice to have others to chat to who are at the same point.. and I agree it's so weird the thought of not being able to tell people in person! Xx

marlibs3 · 31/03/2020 15:04

@LBJ2410 welcome and congratulations! :) if you discover any magical spells to speed up time I'm sure everyone here would be very grateful for it!

LBJ2410 · 31/03/2020 15:12

@marlibs3 thank you! Haha feels like groundhog day at the moment working from home!!
