@Avocuddles so glad you're feeling better!

I'm feeling huge, looks like I'm taking after my mum when it comes to pregnancy, she put on 3 1/2 stone and gained 2 shoe sizes.... I'm well into maternity clothes (boohoo have some awesome maternity lounge wear dungarees in the sale that I highly recommend.) Im actually feeling really good about this pregnancy now. I think it's to do with the fact all of my losses had been so early, so now things have progressed I'm feeling more settled and calm. We even discussed names yesterday!

Attached is a picture of me in fluffy pjs that are too small with my belly at 14+3... It's definitely bigger than that now 🙈😂

@knotemma I bought those boohoo dungarees. Have been living in those and PJ's for last week lol

Knotemma · 02/04/2020 18:16

@sammilou2312 they're awesome, I've lived in them! They're super comfy and I'm thinking about buying a second pair

SammiLou2312 · 02/04/2020 18:30

@knotemma I know what you mean... Debating it myself lol... Loving the bump pic btw x

didslysquiddlydoo · 02/04/2020 19:03

@SammiLou2312 @Knotemma ok so I was looking at those dungarees earlier... then came and saw your reviews of them so I've just gone back and ordered a pair too 😂

Ldawg · 02/04/2020 19:18

Hi all, hope I'm ok to join? I'm way behind most of you and have just found out I'm pregnant due 7th Dec. This follows miscarriage in November. I'm a complete wreck at the moment over analysing everything - I'm sure most of you can relate!

Whiffle77 · 02/04/2020 19:21

I'm only a few days in front of you @Ldawg dont worry Smile due 4th Dec. Welcome! I am feeling similar - up and down at the min, quite wobbly most mornings and then getting a bit better throughout the day.

Ldawg · 02/04/2020 19:30

Hi @Whiffle77! I recognise you from the December group... I was also found one of the comments there massively insensitive, which prompted me to find a more supportive group!!

AnxiousLady1 · 02/04/2020 19:53

Hi ladies!

Mind if I join you also? I'm 8+5, due 7th Nov. Second pregnancy. First was a MMC picked up on 8 wk scan (baby went to 7 wks). I had a good reassurance scan last week (measuring bang on for dates and heartbeat flickering away). But as I suspected, the anxiety calmed for about a day before I allowed myself to start worrying again. It's really hard not to worry when we are self isolating and have nothing but time to worry!!! I'm analysing every single little detail. And probably prodding my boobs every 10 mins to make sure they're still tender!!

Whiffle77 · 02/04/2020 20:33

Yes I've hidden that group now @Ldawg as it was all too much for me on there...! I did think I wouldnt be the only one, I wasnt sure whether to say anything!
Hi @anxiouslady1 I think we are all finding that with the isolating. There are benefits too - I'd rather be anxious at home than in a big meeting at work!

AnxiousLady1 · 02/04/2020 21:04

@Whiffle77 Thank you. Yes I agree I'm definitely better off being at home right now. Have some nausea (and getting sick) for thr last week, but its manageable and could be worse. I know I would feel far worse if I was traveling to and from the city on thr tube! Willing the days away to the 12 week scan.

Knotemma · 02/04/2020 21:08

Welcome @Ldawg and @AnxiousLady1 you've come to the right place. Know that you are among fellow boob prodders and knicker checkers here, we've all had those horrible anxious moments (or days... Weeks... Ok let's be honest months)

Feel free to vent, get your concerns out, admit the ridiculous thing that you did today. I was obsessed with peeing on a stick for the first 7 weeks and going cold turkey was rough. Hopefully you find the support you need here xx

Ldawg · 02/04/2020 21:31

Thanks @knotemma! Sounds just like me. I've done 14 tests since Sunday 🙈 My poor partner definitely thinks I'm going crazy. It's weird isn't it, you know there is nothing you can do to change anything but it's become a complete obsession for me!

No, well done for saying something @Wiffle77. I'm sure there were lots of people thinking the same thing and it's good they were called up on it.

DressingGown87 · 02/04/2020 21:38

@Ldawg and @AnxiousLady1 welcome!

Completely agree with @knotemma description of us knicker checkers 😂. It’s every time you do and pee! And the lack of symptoms drives you round the twist, and how naive some of the other groups can be.

Understand the short lived reassurance that scans can bring, as the anxiety also niggles it way back in. Good luck to both of you, and hope this group helps. It’s helped Me. X

AnxiousLady1 · 02/04/2020 21:42

Thanks @Knotemma! That made me laugh. And yes I'm 100% there with the boob prodding and knicker checking constantly!

@Ldawg My OH also thinks I'm slightly bonkers, as I was trying to suggest getting weekly scans until 12 weeks. Not only would that be costly, but probably not the best idea when the guidance is to stay at home. I know deep down that even if I make it passed the 12 week scan okay I'll move on to worrying about the next scans!

AnxiousLady1 · 02/04/2020 21:44

Thanks @DressingGown87. Already feeling like I've come to the right place. X

Knotemma · 02/04/2020 22:33

@anxiouslady1 glad I got a laugh out if you. Pregnancy after loss is hard, people who haven't been through it will say and do stupid things because they just don't get it. Don't get me worng I'm not suggesting that everyone of us will have the perfect answer every time. But it's a great safe space to get our feelings out there, seek support and kindness and sometimes just have a laugh, because that's allowed. I love our little community, even though I wish that none of us had to go through the things that brought us together x

Rachael321 · 02/04/2020 22:41

Welcome to the newcomers! And gentle congrats

Have felt awful all evening, headache and sick. Hoping it's just nerves

Hope everyone is well!!

Mimba1 · 02/04/2020 22:53

Hi, can I join your group? I had a MC in January after TTC for 2.5 years and finding it a bit overwhelming being PG again so soon! I can really relate to the boob check - caught myself doing it on video conference earlier!

@Whiffle77 @Ldawg I recognise you from the December group. There are some really supportive people in there but I know what you mean. They've started taking about decorating nurseries and buying prams and I don't want to be a downer but they're all 4-5 weeks and it's just so early!

Whiffle77 · 03/04/2020 08:26

Hi @mimba1 yes I felt the same, there was a lot of over excitement- which is good and I'm envious of them for being able to feel that, but I didnt even feel quite that nonchalant about it before my MC so it was too much for me! Gentle positivity is what I need haha
My boobs were agony last time and fine this time which means I am also grabbing them constantly!

didslysquiddlydoo · 03/04/2020 08:49

Welcome to the new ladies!! @Whiffle77 @Mimba1 @AnxiousLady1 @Ldawg lovely to have you joining us over here!

Definitely understand what some of you mean about finding the typical birth club groups difficult to be in - I never did join a September group just because I didn't want to bring other people down with my caution and anxiety, but also felt on a completely different journey to most of the people who were just excitedly planning!

This space has been really helpful and supportive for me and I hope it is the same for you!

15 weeks tomorrow and my stomach just feels odd all the time! Like someone keeps blowing up a balloon inside of me - a full, bloated and kinda sore feeling...! And I'm back to needing to wee more often too! Can't believe I've got another 5 weeks to go before I can have another scan... we did have a private scan booked for 16 weeks but it got cancelled amidst the current climate - really sad but understandable! 🙈

How is everyone else doing and feeling? Xx

AnxiousLady1 · 03/04/2020 08:58

Thanks @didslysquiddlydoo! This morning I've been reading through everyone's posts in this thread to catch up better with everyone's stories.

I'm 8+6 now and symptoms aren't the worst. I was woken by sore boobs last night so I'll take that as a win. But definitely not been as sick as some of the ladies on here at this stage. Wrestling with idea of getting another scan before 12 weeks (maybe at 10) but also aware from reading this thread that some have had MMC after this point. So then I think do I just try to forget completely and wait the 3 weeks. Reassured to see so many of you have had your 12 week scans already and things are looking great so far. X

TunnocksTcake · 03/04/2020 09:13

Hello everyone!
I've been avoiding my phone all together in this madness so haven't been on for ages but I've just caught up, welcome to all the newbies, as others have said you are in a safe place. I ended up having a scan every 2 weeks through a mixture of private ones and freaking myself out about pains and going to the EPU. In my case it helped because all my losses had been early but it's a very personal thing, and much more difficult at the moment to get seen either privately or at hospital, so I feel for you girls going through the early weeks in this pandemic.

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow too @didslysquiddlydoo, will update the roll call now so I don't forget. Totally know what you mean about feeling like there's a balloon in my tummy, looks like there is one too now! Still getting v bloated in the evenings and getting loads of heartburn and indigestion, even when I wake up?!

@TunnocksTcake your bump is super cute! Glad you've been getting the support you need, I can understand needing to step away from the phone, I had to delete Facebook I just couldn't cope with it
