Sorry @rachael321, I can understand how you feel. I feel the same at the prospect of it too, but things may have changed by then. It's sad but I guess we have to keep telling ourselves it could be a lot worse. I assume your husband can wait in the car for you, so he won't be too far away if you need him - the chances are it wont be bad news
Glad you have had more symptoms @Pippop21 do you feel any better in yourself today?

Nearly 9 weeks and I feel soo crappy I dont wana feel ungrateful for my pregnancy but I feel soo crappy nausea all day cant eat or just relax and have a 2 year old to look after too...anyone else go through this horrible period please advice or just reassurance that it will be ok...feel so miserable tired and nauseous all day since week 6

Trying to keep the faith lol, Sunday cant cone quick enough xxx

@Rachael123 I had to go on my own to my 12 week one last week (was actually 13 weeks) and OH couldn’t go, he couldn’t even get the time off work to take me as work knew he couldn’t come in so wanted him to remain working from hone. He missed our first scan with lily, and we were terrified of getting bad news again. But the sonographer was lovely and when I told her my history she let me have lots of photos and explained everything she was doing. You can do this, just take a deep breath and try and stay calm. Could your OH take you and wait nearby? Xx

@anon20something sorry you literally said on the last page that you were in 14th week. I swear I never believed the whole baby brain thing but mine has completely gone this week lol! I thought I started to feel flutters around 15 weeks and have felt the odd weird sensation throughout the last week (I turn 16 weeks tomorrow). What did it feel like for you? Felt almost like someone was running a feather along the inside of my belly to me x

Hi all,
Good news here! The nuchal measurement was 1.7mm. My little boy with the chromosomal issue had a nuchal of 5.3mm.
I was at the hospital 4 hours though 😩 They're completely understaffed and overworked. I felt for them.

So the plan is still just to see how things go. Unless I get too nervous and opt for the amnio.

Due date moved 3 days back to 7th October.

Mine has deffo kicked in! I’m working from home, called someone and forgot their name halfway through... no wonder they hung up! I’ve been feeling the odd ‘pop’ since last week! Only if I’m lying down but it just feels like a bubble popping! I think I only notice it cause even when I was like 30+ weeks with lily it was all she could do bless her so I had to really focus on it! Xxx

@Anon20something yeah he is going to take me and wait in the car. Will explain the past to them, I've been lucky everyone ive seen has been so nice so hopefully it continues. It's the staying calm that's gonna be hard and retaining any info I'm given memory is like a sieve!

@Whiffle77 yeah I know it's for the best, just anxious about it all. Hes going to drop me off and wait in the car for me

@Ibaadsmummy sorry you're still feeling awful. All I can suggest is really plain food, very small amounts regularly and gaviscon liquid might help if you have lots of stomach acid. Keep drinking, again small amount, I couldn't manage plain water, so got some squash and made it very dilute.

Don't know if you're being sick, but when my sickness was at its worst, probably about 9-10 weeks I had medicine from the doctor's which really helped.

I know it's hard to keep positive when you're feeling so awful, I had about 5 weeks where I really struggled and it finally starting to properly calm down at 15 weeks. Fingers crossed you feel better soon

@Treaclepie19 really pleased that you've had good news, sounds like a perfect measurement!

@Rachael321 it's not going to be fun going in without DH but you're awesome and strong and you can do this! It might be worth taking a notepad so you can scribble stuff down if you're worried about forgetting things? I'm sure everything will go smoothly and you'll have some gorgeous pics to show us soon.

So basically I'm just spamming the group at this point, but wanted to update the list as I'm 15 weeks today, don't know where the heck the time has gone and how it's also managed to be the longest 11 weeks of my life 😂

So I’ve had another scan today, and I think I’m going to finally start giving myself a glimmer of hope that pregnancy number 8! And 6 years since my last mmc, is actually happening, and I’ve updated myself. Sorry didn’t want to update anyone else in case baby brain got it wrong!

@Anon20something welcome and I’m sorry to hear about your daughter. I go for scans every 2 weeks and I’m still terries and anxious, so don’t worry it’s natural.

@Avocuddles Glad you have started to feel better, such a strong woman for getting through this!

@Treaclepie19 Congratulations on your scan! I found the maternity ward was overly busy and understaffed today too. Was hoping for a quick in and out, but was there for 3/4 hours. Which was stressful as some of the staff where coughing, but got sent home by senior members of staff in front of a crowded waiting room!

@Rachael321 sorry to hear your having to go alone. I’ve been for a few scans recently and partners have been waiting outside or in the car, so glad your DP will be around.

I had my final scan at the EPAU today at 10+5, measuring exactly to the day! I said to the sonographer are you 100% that everything at this point looks ok, and there is a heartbeat. She then showed me that “bean” was waving at me, and I burst into tears. The picture isn’t great, because it wouldn’t stay still, but you can see the arm up.

Wow @dressinggown87 that is such a clear pic, and so baby like for so early! Pleased you had such a positive experience 💞

So nice to see all the lovely scans, I'm counting down until we hopefully get ours too.

Has anyone found they are very bunged up with a blocked nose? If so what are you taking? I'm really blocked at night particularly and normally I'd use a nasal spray or something but I can't take that now so am struggling a bit. Olbas oil isn't really cutting it. Any tips?

@DressingGown87 thank you for sharing your gorgeous scan pic, it's so clear and it definitely looks like they're waving at you! I'm really glad you're feeling a bit more reassured and that you've been discharged from the EPU - it's an exciting / nervewracking feeling. Assume you don't need to wait long for your 12 week scan?

congrats on 16 / 15 weeks! How are you both feeling? I'm a bit obsessed with studying my tummy, it seems possibly more rounded than but pretty sure it's all just fat at the moment 

@Treaclepie19 lovely photo and great nuchal result! Do you know how long you'll have to wait for your blood results? Mine took about a week which was a lot quicker than I'd expected given the current circumstances.

Just been out in public for the first time in two weeks! Went to collect my clexane and aspirin prescriptions from the pharmacy attached to the GP, it was very quiet out and I enjoyed spotting rainbows in windows on the way. DH is finally moving back into our bedroom tonight, nice to feel like things are slowly getting back to 'normal' even it's a very different version of normal to the usual!

@Avocuddles I'm on a hormone rollercoaster it seems at the moment. One minute I'm amazed at how far I've gotten and how big I'm getting by the day it seems (attached pic was taken this morning lol). Next minute I'm in mad panic that something is wrong. Been trying to pass the time (when I'm not working from home) by painting more of the nursery to keep myself occupied and thinking positive thoughts. Glad to hear you are feeling better and have managed to get some fresh air today x
