@TunnocksTcake - I know, I loved seeing the little toes too ❤️ It was our 11 week scan when we first saw baby looking like a proper baby, with little hands and feet, and I think that’s when I started slightly hoping things might be ok. It’s hard, even now, to think things are going to work out. I think we programme ourselves to think they won’t as self-preservation. I still sometimes find it odd when I look down and see a bump, have to remind myself that it is mine and it’s because I have a healthy baby growing in there! So surreal at times.
@MissSparkles81 - I once saw somebody having a lengthy conversation about being pregnant on their FB status when they were 5 weeks! Couldn’t believe it and would love to have that naivety. Some people will, thankfully for them, never know this side of pregnancy or never think about something going wrong.
@SunStruck - thank you. How are you getting on? I think your due date is not too long after mine, I’m 13th September. DH and I have looked at furniture, prams etc. and had hoped to get a start on the nursery but we need to do some room rearranging and now nobody is able to come and help him move furniture so we’re having to put a hold on that. His parents have, very kindly, offered to buy us a pram bundle which has a pram, car seat, high chair, bouncer and bedside crib so we’re excited to order that but again, have to wait until we’ve got rooms moved around. Our bedroom is upstairs and the other rooms are downstairs. Wouldn’t want to be that far away when baby does start sleeping in their own room so need to move downstairs and move the furniture from downstairs up here. Looking forward to getting it done once lockdown is over! I’m sure you got some lovely stuff for baby in the sales, it’s nice when you feel confident enough to start buying ❤️
