@didslysquiddlydoo that's lovely, and completely the right way to look at it.
I've just found out I'm pregnant, only 4 weeks tomorrow so very early, had a miscarriage at 8 weeks at the beginning of Feb so feeling very lucky to be pregnant again, but also anxious - as everyone is with everything that's going on!
The naivety thing, I completely agree, but I also think that losing the baby has made me rethink the whole 12 weeks thing. Statistically, my odds were very low to have a MC at 8 weeks but it still happened...I think I may tell more people this time before 12 weeks as last time i told no one, and so only got the awfulness of telling people about the MC. I deserved the nice side of telling people I'm pregnant tll, and I'm so sad i missed out on that!

Knotemma · 26/03/2020 16:02

@Whiffle77 I've always thought that if I'd tell them I've miscarried I'd tell them I'm pregnant. Sometimes I'm better at that than others, because I find it quite tough when people get excited before I'm ready to get to that point. It's something that messes with your head so much. We've tried to be much positive this time, probably since the reassurance scan because that was the first time we'd actually seen a baby. Now we're 14 weeks we've told close friends and family and I've definitely been able to share in their excitement. And it's lovely to be able to tell people something good in amongst all of the doom and gloom!

Whiffle77 · 26/03/2020 16:15

Yes I agree, I'm not ready for excitement just yet! But hopefully will be soon...I deserve some excitement about it, every baby should be celebrated! Theres so much that goes through my head about it all in every hour, it's very confusing. I feel less anxious now I'm pregnant again though (although still anxious of course ha!). Glad to hear you are in a good place!

Knotemma · 26/03/2020 16:56

@teaandtantrums90 sorry don't know how I missed your post. I found that I could manage ready salted crisps, white bread, already cheese and randomly chicken flavour super noodles! I also found drinking squash rather than plain water helped, just sipping a bit at a time. If you're throwing up a lot dioralyte is a good call, you can get it at the chemist and I found it really helped both keeping me hydrated and with the level of nausea
Hope that helps. If all fails give your gp a ring, they might prescribe something like citerizine over the phone

Ibaadsmummy · 26/03/2020 17:26

Had scan today....baby ok with a heartbeat. Will be 8 weeks tomorrow hopfully sickness dies down soon..sucks to be on lockdown while being soooo sick

Charliem11 · 26/03/2020 19:18

@Avocuddles good news today. I had my early scan. Measuring 7 weeks 2 days with a healthy heartbeat.

Bellsx · 26/03/2020 19:20

@Rachael321 thank you for updating mine 😊 How are you feeling about your scan next Friday (mine is then aswell) do you have to go on your own? I've emailed my hospital today to see what their guidelines are and the secretary said I have to go on my own 😢 Have you felt much movement yet, how are you feeling in yourself?

Knotemma · 26/03/2020 19:47

@Ibaadsmummy @Charliem11 great to hear more positive scan news, that's what we like!

MissSparkles81 · 26/03/2020 20:07

Thanks @didslysquiddlydoo that is a really positive way to look at it sadly for me I just cant go there yet.

I dont know if its being confined to the house and anxiety with this coronavirus aswell but my mental health is really plummeting.

The past few days ive had really bad nausea too. Thankfully I havnt been sick yet but had to take myself off to bed for a few hrs today which in turn made me feel even more guilty as Im supposed to be working from home.

Just feel like I cant win just now😂😂

MissSparkles81 · 26/03/2020 20:10

@Allstarxo hiya lovely your story is similar to mines. Mc in November at 8 weeks and will be 6 weeks on Saturday. Everything crossed for rainbows for both of us 🌈💞🌈

Rachael321 · 26/03/2020 20:27

@Bellsx I'm trying not to think about it tbh.i think they're going to say no to my other half coming too which is gutting, hes been looking forward to it for weeks, cant wait to see baby again etc so my heart breaks for him. But also scared at the prospect of bad news on my own or that I wont take everything in that they tell me.

I've felt a few bubble type things and a few tightening type feelings usually when in the bath weirdly enough 😂 nothing concrete really you?

Still pretty tired and in bed for 10 most nights and wake about 7.30/8 only up maybe once or twice in that time. Nausea still a pain but hard to tell if that's pregnancy related or anxiety due to COVID-19 and the stress of work and finances etc!! Generally a bit achey and feeling pains in my belly like growing and stretching.

How about you? Any movements? or a bump yet? X

Bellsx · 26/03/2020 20:37

Aww it's so hard isn't it, such rubbish timing this virus for us pregnant mummies 😭 I think I have felt some funny kind of popping, wriggly sort of movements usually when I'm sat on the sofa in the evenings or in bed hard to know if I'm imagining it though. Yes bumpy is growing and I'm trying to take pictures weekly just to see if I can see a difference even though it is still early and like you I am still feeling tired and by 9ish I'm usually ready for bed apart from that though I feel fine x

Rachael321 · 26/03/2020 20:51

@Bellsx I've taken a few pics too and noticed a difference last week to this week. Most obvious first thing in morning, bloat still takes over during the day.
(Excuse the jammies lol)

Bellsx · 26/03/2020 21:21

@Rachael321 ah love these and what a lovely bump! I would show you a pic of mine but I don't have the paper clip option on my reply thing so can't upload photos 😢 x

ChampooPapi · 27/03/2020 07:18

@MissSparkles81 really sorry your going through this, I've been there, it is just crap isn't it. But you need to just crash now, I think from the sounds of it your going to feel fairly queasy now for a little while, it will pass I absolutely promise, but you need rest, rest and more rest. You just have to check out if you can, be very kind to yourself and sort of give it all up to the sofa a beige coloured food stuffs.

I'm on my 4 the pregnancy, 2 live births. And if I know something it's morning sickness, anxiety and the blues. You need to give yourself up to basically just diying on the sofa or in bed, you are aloud to do this and it is ok..it's perfectly normal in fact lovely. Evey woman I know has had to admit defeat to the morning/all bloody day sickness at one point or another. The worst really is only a few weeks mostly, but you absolutely must cut yourself some slack here.

Be kind to yourself and let go ♥️🌈

Sunflower1608 · 27/03/2020 08:05

Had my scan yesterday putting me slightly more ahead at 13+3. Both babies lovely and wriggly, neither really wanting selfies as kept turning away. Twin 2 was very chilled out just hanging around with legs stretched and crossed and arms behind head lol. Starting to feel so more real again. Having another phase of oh shit, there's two humans inside of me! 🤯
Still having phases of nausea and sickness. And super exhausted with having to home school 3 other kids

@Sunflower1608 that's brilliant news and those are gorgeous clear scan pictures! Measuring ahead with twins is great. Pleased you've had a nice positive scan

Pippop21 · 27/03/2020 08:36

Whats everyone symptoms at 5+2 i have slight sore boobs, peeing a little more and a tiny bit of sickness but nothing to wrote home about! This always concerns me 😭😭

Sunflower1608 · 27/03/2020 09:14

@Pippop21 I had food aversions, tender boobs that was it. Proper sickness and misery kicked in about 6-7weeks

Knotemma · 27/03/2020 09:26

@Pippop21 at that point I had a horrible taste in my mouth (which still hasn't gone) sore boobs and a bit of a bloated feeling. It was the 6 week mark when everything kicked off for me

Shefliesonherownwings · 27/03/2020 11:14

@Pippop21 I had pretty much the same as you at 5 weeks plus feeling really bloated. Now at 7 weeks the sore boobs and bloat has died down but nausea has ramped up including some lovely dry heaving. I'm knackered too.

Shefliesonherownwings · 27/03/2020 11:24

I've had my booking appointment through but I'm a little miffed it's not until I'm 11 weeks. I was hoping to have it around 9 or 10 weeks. I'm worried that I won't get my 12 week appointment until 14 weeks or something. I was actually hoping they might organise me an early scan too but that's wishful thinking now.

I'm thinking of ringing up and asking if they have anything sooner? I know they probably won't but is there any harm in asking? What do you guys think?

Avocuddles · 27/03/2020 14:11

Hi ladies sorry I've not been around much but the virus has completely wiped me out. Had a home visit from two paramedics this morning who were thankfully happy that I don't need to go to hospital but it's been a horrid week and I'm not past it yet. I'll try to catch up on the past few days when I've got the energy. Hoping and praying that little one is ok and hasn't been affected by any of it!

@Avocuddlessorry to hear you've been so poorly. Glad that the paramedics were happy with how you're doing though. Everything crossed you feel better soon x
