Hi Ladies,

Hope everyone is ok and managing to keep safe during the current, uncertain times. I’ve been off the thread for about a month due to work and needing some head space and won’t be able to catch up on everything that has happened but I hope everyone is still well.

In case we need some good news, after three miscarriages, and spending most of this pregnancy like a nervous wreck, I am now 15 weeks! We’ve had five scans - 7wks, 9wks, 11wks, 12wks and 14wks and all is well. Baby is a little wriggler and has been jumping about like mad every time.

There are times when I never thought I’d be the one writing a post like this. I used to trawl message boards and websites looking for people who had lost several babies and then had a successful pregnancy. I’m not counting my blessings yet but things are certainly very different this time and I hope this can bring comfort to some of you.

Hope everyone and all your little beans are well Flowers x

Littlegoth · 24/03/2020 16:48

It’s wonderful seeing good news here xx

Pippop21 · 24/03/2020 17:17

Thanks hunni xxx

didslysquiddlydoo · 24/03/2020 17:28

Ahhhh @Pippop21 so pleased for you - congratulations!!!!

@Hoping2020 so glad things are going well - it's always so important to hear that things can be different after previous losses!! Great news!!!

Hoping2020 · 24/03/2020 18:27

Thanks ladies, reading positive stories kept me going so it’s nice to share mine too. This is the little wriggler here!

Are people planning to find out what they’re having? We will be but then keeping it to ourselves. Don’t mine either way of course but excited to find out Smile

@Hoping2020 what a lovely clear scan pic! So pleased that today went well. We aren't going to find out, I feel like there are so few surprises left. Plus I love babies in white, so this way we're more likely to be gifted gender neutral stuff.

TunnocksTcake · 24/03/2020 19:25

Another wriggler over here! 🙈 I had to shake my hips and bang my bum on the couch soo much haha then when it finally stayed still I laughed at it's little waving hand! The sonographer was not happy!

TunnocksTcake · 24/03/2020 19:30

Gender guesses welcome!

Hoping2020 · 24/03/2020 19:31

Thank you Smile That sounds nice too. We won’t be telling anyone so we’ll get lots of white as well which I agree is lovely. I think we’re due near each other! I haven’t updated the list yet but my official due date is 13th September. Have you bought anything yet?

Hoping2020 · 24/03/2020 19:33

Aww lovely @TunnocksTcake Smile I’m thinking boy! Are you finding out?

TunnocksTcake · 24/03/2020 20:26

@Hoping2020 yeah we will find out I think, weirdly last time we weren't going to but I think I just want to know, decide on a name and start calling 'it' he or she as soon as we can!
I need to update mine too! Just realised this means I've jumped ahead to the third trimester wooo!

Hoping2020 · 24/03/2020 20:42

@TunnocksTcake - it’s strange but I don’t think we would have planned to find out if it hadn’t been for our losses. I spent the first almost 12 weeks of this little ones life trying to pretend it didn’t exist because I was so scared I was going to lose it so I want to find out to help with bonding and just another part of getting excited for us. I understand people wanting to wait for a surprise but, the way I see it, it’s a surprise whether you find out at 16 weeks or 40. When is your due date? x

TunnocksTcake · 24/03/2020 21:48

@hoping2020 yes that's exactly how I've been too! Still doesn't feel completely real even though I have had so many scans, I think I just have a proper wall built up and subconsciously won't let myself believe it. I did melt a bit when I saw the bottom of the feet with all the toes 💗 We'll get there, I'm sure and yes knowing the sex will definitely help with bonding. Can't wait til I can feel it move too.

TunnocksTcake · 24/03/2020 21:49

Oh sorry - due date is now 26th September and I'm 13w 3d!

didslysquiddlydoo · 24/03/2020 21:54

@TunnocksTcake EDD twins 😁

Pippop21 · 25/03/2020 06:38

Was up all night with period pain and lower back ache 😭😭 if my period starts i dunno what i'll do! Did anyone else have these pains? They worry me as i dont remember getting them with my son whos now 10 but i did get them with my two previous losses so i just associate them with a loss now

Other news! 5 weeks today!! Symptoms, mild morning sickness, tender boobs, constipated, cramps, lower back ache, bleeding gums and fatigue! Haha so nearly everything possible 🤣🤣🌈🌈🌈🌈

ChampooPapi · 25/03/2020 08:00

Hi ladies,

I've been on a few miscarriage threads over the last 6 months and happily recognise a fair amount of you, congratulations to everyone 🌈

I've just found out I'm pregnant, only 4 and a half weeks by my calculations so early days.

But a good strong line yesterday and got 2-3 weeks last week on the clearblue expensive pee stick 🙄

ChampooPapi · 25/03/2020 08:02

@TunnocksTcake brilliant and beautiful scan photo, it's a girl 😉🌷

ChampooPapi · 25/03/2020 08:08

@Rachael321 I really hope you haven't gone into work, you should 100 percent not be working. I know it's an impossible situation but over the next 24 hours stricter rules, and clearer rules hopefully, especially for workers, will be enforced. The government are being too slow on this so it is ridiculous because people are not being guided properly.

What is your job? Because unless your a medical professional or in the police or something you should be home, even if you weren't pregnant!

ChampooPapi · 25/03/2020 08:14

This really moved me this morning. We all need to stay home except in exceptional circumstances or NHS staff obviously. I know there are grey areas within those sectors but if you have any other type of job, even if it can't be done at home, you have to stay home now. I'm saying this as someone who's partner has just had to freeze his business which he will go on to liquidate and we are going to have to go onto full universal credit for a few months.

But we have to protect each other now 💜
