Littlegoth · 19/03/2020 18:45

@Aria2015 mine wasn’t moving at my last scan, bang on 11 weeks, I had a little wobble and was told that they sleep a lot. Good heartbeat. I’m back in on Monday for my follow up, hoping for a lovely image like @Avocuddles and @didslysquiddlydoo xx

Aria2015 · 19/03/2020 19:06

@Littlegoth that's reassuring. Hopefully I see some wriggles at the 12 week scan. Good luck for your upcoming scan!

Avocuddles · 19/03/2020 20:44

@SunStruck I have no idea but two friends also said girl.... I initially thought I wouldn't find out but with everything that's going on at the moment I think we probably will do. Plenty of time to decide yet!

@Aria2015 @didslysquiddlydoo thanks for sharing your lovely photos. So exciting to see all these gorgeous babies after everything we've all been through.....

DressingGown87 · 19/03/2020 21:43

Aww congratulations to you all on your amazing scans! So good to see so many!

I had mine yesterday, measured 8+4, have my next scan at 10+4, and then my 12 week scan (5th one) on the 14th April. How many scans did people have in the first trimester?

Littlegoth · 19/03/2020 22:56

I will have had 6 scans in total up to my dating scan next Thursday. I definitely feel like my doctors have been monitoring thoroughly x

Avocuddles · 20/03/2020 07:11

@DressingGown87 7 and 9 weeks for me then 12 +3. It feels strange to think there are almost eight weeks until the next one but with the current situation I don't think I'll be planning any in between.....

OP posts:
DressingGown87 · 20/03/2020 07:43

@Littlegoth it’s good your being looked after. I feel like they are being good with me especially in this current situation.

@Avocuddles I think they said I would have one at 16 weeks, so in between. But I get the place to avoid at the minute is the hospital..

MissSparkles81 · 20/03/2020 11:35

Aww congratulations on all the lovely scans ladies 🥰

Knotemma · 20/03/2020 14:05

Just been to the bathroom and noticed some spotting and my anxiety has gone through the roof. I was feeling really good today, got the results of our trisomy tests and all looks good. I've managed to get an appointment for Monday for a scan, but I'm so worried now, don't know how I'm going to get through this weekend

Treaclepie19 · 20/03/2020 14:52

@knotemma oh that's crap 😔 Remember lots or people have spotting and its fine, tey and hold on to that until your scan. At this point the odds are so much in your favour.

I've just tried to go for a walk and fallen down a kerb. My hand and knee are cut and I'm worrying about baby even though I'm sure they'll be fine.

Knotemma · 20/03/2020 15:03

@Treaclepie19 thanks, in my logical brain I know you're right, I just had about an hour where I totally spiralled and now I questioning every bit of discomfort. DH has come home from work, so that's helped me calm down a lot. I hope you're ok after your fall, it's never nice but so much worse when you have someone else on board x

tmc14 · 20/03/2020 15:20

Just trying to catch up... I’ve been avoiding the internet for a few days.

Congratulations on all the lovely scans 💚

@knotemma ah that must be very stressful. The odds are definitely massively in your favour. Take care of yourself over the weekend x

I’m now 10 weeks 1 day. Scan in 2 weeks 3 days... we’re mostly just at home now, popping to shop if needed and to give my toddler a quiet run around but mostly home. Very strange. I can’t work from home so have lost most of my income. My symptoms have lessened but trying not to worry. My throat & ear infection from a few weeks ago has gone back! Very annoying but could of course be worse.

Hope everyone is keeping well & safe x

Avocuddles · 20/03/2020 19:40

Hi all.@Knotemma sorry to hear about your spotting, glad they've managed to get you an appointment on Monday and crossing my fingers that all will be looking good and healthy.

@Treaclepie19 hope you're not too sore after your fall. Baby will be fine in there I'm sure - I had a fall previously and did a lot of frantic googling and it turns out that they are very well protected, in particular in the earlier stages.

Is anyone else suffering from possible CV symptoms? I've felt a little under the weather all week but just attributed it to being run down and stressed out at work. Today though I'm convinced that I have a fever (thankfully quite mild), had a slightly sore throat, and can't smell or taste properly. I'm coughing occasionally but not much more than usual - I have mild asthma so frequently cough, especially if I have the slightest hint of the sniffles. What do you all think? I don't really want to have to isolate from DH but it's probably the advised thing to do?

OP posts:
Knotemma · 20/03/2020 19:49

@Avocuddles I've attached a really handy thing from boots, but if you have a temperature and a dry cough it's probably best to self isolate, just in case. While it's probably not Covid19 it's better to be safe than sorry. There's also the check on the NHS 111 website here:

111.nhs.uk/covid-19

Which is probably a good call, as I think it's quite a specific fever temperature for what I've seen (were getting daily updates through work as we're classes as a key industry)

I've brought myself to bed with some crisps and chocolate. Spotting seems to have calmed down and so have I. I'm hoping it's just my cervix or a subchorionic haemorrhage, but we'll find out more on Monday. For this weekend I'm probably going to take to my bed, I know that it won't make any difference if things are going wrong, but it might make me feel better

Treaclepie19 · 20/03/2020 21:34

Thank you @Avocuddles, I'm okay just scratched, cut and sore.

I hope you're on the mend soon. It's tough but if you have a fever I'd say be careful.
The cough is supposed to be very persistent not just on and off but I wouldn't mess about with a fever. Hope you're okay Flowers

tmc14 · 20/03/2020 22:35

I missed your post @treaclepie19 - when I was 5 months pregnant with my son I fell down a kerb and landed on my belly as my arms bent... of course I completely panicked and called the midwife... she said exactly what @Avocuddles said... they’re well protected. Always scary at the time though x

SunStruck · 21/03/2020 07:15

Ladies, I hope you're all keeping safe at the moment ❤️

@Treaclepie19 that sounds nasty but I am sure the baby is fine and well isolated in there!

@Knotemma I'm sorry to hear you're worried, Fingers crossed for you on Monday. If it's that little it's most probably nothing!

@Avocuddles i hope you feel better soon! I also have a sore throat but no cough yet, trying to self isolate the best I can.

We just found out we're having a little boy! 💙😍 it feels very real now!

didslysquiddlydoo · 21/03/2020 07:22

@Treaclepie19 ahh sorry about your fall but glad you're feeling okay-ish! Another one who's been told baby is very well protected in there!!

@avocuddles it's so difficult at the moment - all these things that we'd normally just 'get on with' and suddenly we are aware they could be something else - so stressful! I hope you're feeling better today x

@SunStruck I saw from another thread that you may have some exciting news to share re little sun struck?! 🥰🥳

didslysquiddlydoo · 21/03/2020 07:22

@SunStruck haha we cross posted!!! So happy for you! 💙💙💙

Knotemma · 21/03/2020 07:25

@SunStruck that's lovely news! Definitely something to brighten up this morning. Spotting seems to have slowed down, trying to stay positive until Monday when we'll know more

Treaclepie19 · 21/03/2020 07:39

Thank you ladies ❤ I'm okay, just limping about a bit haha.

What lovely news @SunStruck!! Smile

SunStruck · 21/03/2020 07:40

Haha thank you girls!!! 😃 I can't wait to know what you're having (if you're finding out!).

We have told our closest friends here now, invited them over for a dinner party but didn't tell them it's actually also a pregnancy announcement and gender reveal 🤣

Unfortunately MIL was hoping for a girl because we're just having another baby boy in the family, I'm just happy it's a healthy baby. DH is over the moon 😃

Our next scan is at 16 weeks and then 20. Ages away !

didslysquiddlydoo · 21/03/2020 08:04

@Knotemma I have everything crossed for you. I've had one big bleed and two incidents of spotting so far in this pregnancy and convinced myself each time it was bad news - all still looking good and lots of nurses constantly telling me spotting is actually very common! I hope all is absolutely fine for you xxx
