Hi ladies. I also had a great scan and was adjusted to 13 weeks today 🥰 due date is now 17th September. Apparently I'm carrying a little ninja that did not want to stay still for the sonographer to get good pics but we did manage to get an awesome one of them kicking out lol x

SunStruck · 12/03/2020 14:26

@SammiLou2312 @Knotemma oooh great news ladies!! 🥰🥰🥰

@Knotemma do you mean wait for the combined risk from nuchal measurement and the blood test for Papp-a and hcg? If yes, how long did they say it would take to get the results? I'm having my nt screening next week so just anxious to know!

SammiLou2312 · 12/03/2020 14:28

@SunStruck they told me it would be 7-10 days to get results from combined tests x

Knotemma · 12/03/2020 14:36

@SunStruck yes that's what I mean, I was told I'll get a call within 3 working days if I'm classes as high risk, if I'm low risk I won't hear anything, so basically no news is good news.

@Sammilou3212 thanks for sorting the list! So pleased your scan went well, ours was flipping about so photos aren't great, but who cares, much more important to have positive news and healthy beans.

I'm feeling much more human which is definitely helping, still very nauseous on an evening, but starving at lunchtime! Stopped in the way home with DH and had a pizza hut buffet...I ate almost a full pizza 😂. Out this evening with mum to see one of the strictly professionals, so that should be good.

SunStruck · 12/03/2020 15:01

@Knotemma @SammiLou2312 oh why did they tell you such different timings? Is one private and one on nhs?

I'm so happy to hear you're feeling better, if you are at 12 weeks I hope my light at the end of the tunnel is next week too 🤦🏻‍♀️ still so nauseous!

SammiLou2312 · 12/03/2020 15:05

@Knotemma we also went to pizza hut on the way home! We've finally announced it to all now. Officially excited now 🥰
@sunstruck all I can think is we are in different areas so maybe different NHS trusts process tests at different times x

Knotemma · 12/03/2020 15:30

@SunStruck I think @Sammilou2312 is probably right, just different trusts have different timescales. Labs in different areas probably have different pressures on them, especially at the moment, so that could have something to do with it.

Also @Sammilou2312 you're super brave, it's awesome that you're feeling ready to announce! I'm still in this weird holding pattern. 4 of our very close friends and our immediate family know, and I still feel really weird about telling other people. Probably going to go and visit a couple of aunty's this weekend, I'd much rather tell people face to face where I can.

Rachael321 · 12/03/2020 17:20

@knotemma @SammiLou2312 so pleased you both had good scans and are feeling positive about telling people, great to hear!!

I'm 17 weeks today(!) And it's also 1 year today we get married(!)
Noticed a definite bump when lying flat in bed this morning, not obvious when up and about but nice to see the growing belly starting

Avocuddles · 12/03/2020 17:31

@SunStruck I'm feeling ok thanks. A week from now we will (hopefully) have had our 12 week scan, it's such a big milestone and still feels ages away but I guess it's not long now given I found out that I was pregnant a full 8 weeks ago today!
As you suggest timings do vary by NHS trust, I imagine the system is particularly stretched at the moment so wouldn't be surprised if the wait for test results is a bit longer than usual, I just hope that there aren't any issues that impact on my scan or consultant appointments!

@Knotemma @SammiLou2312 so glad your scans both went well! Would love to see some photos if you'd like to share.... Glad you're feeling a lot better @Knotemma, enjoy your show tonight!
@SammiLou2312 congrats on announcing! I'll hopefully be letting both my parents and DHs mum know next weekend, all being well....

@Rachael321 whoop whoop hope you have both wedding and baby countdowns going on, so much to look forward to! It must be amazing to have a visible bump on the way, I can't wait....

SammiLou2312 · 12/03/2020 17:41

@Avocuddles my not so little Pip the ninja... Along with a bump pic from today. Had to tell folk really. Now way of hiding it anymore and was running out of excuses not to see people haha x

TunnocksTcake · 12/03/2020 17:57

@knotemma @SammiLou2312 so so glad to see positive scan news that's amazing!
@SammiLou2312 hehe I love the little ninja kick!

DressingGown87 · 12/03/2020 18:13

It’s lovely to see so many scans, and so many 12week milestones coming up. Have people started to feel less anxious now they’ve had their scans? Or when they’ve got past the point of previous losses?

I had a scan yesterday at 7+6, everything was fine, and there was a heartbeat. Although the baby resembled a cocker spaniel puppy! Still anxious though. X

SammiLou2312 · 12/03/2020 18:34

@dressinggown87 I think getting the all clear today and finding out I was actually 13 weeks was the major turning point for me. It feels very real now x

@TunnocksTcake the kick photo is my favourite 🥰

Tiniestsky · 12/03/2020 19:33

Hey everyone, I feel a bit dizzy going from ttc after mc to pregnant after loss lol
I took an early test 2 days ago and it's a bfp, I'm not technically due on til tomorrow so not counting my chickens just yet.
My first 2 pregnancies have been losses so like yourselves I'm pretty anxious, wish I could shake the feeling of dread, feel like I'm just sitting here waiting for the worst to happen. I haven't called the epu or docs yet, thought I'd wait til I was officially late, dunno why really.
So hoping that third time is the charm, dunno how many more times I can go through it 🤦🏻‍♀️

DressingGown87 · 12/03/2020 19:57

@SammiLou2312 that’s reassuring to here. I just want to be able to feel a little bit excited, not thinking everything I do will be a jinx and enjoy it somewhat! Glad you’ve finally got to a turning point. 😊

@Tiniestsky congratulations, fingers crossed for you! I’m the same, it took me along time to get over my previous losses, this has taken me by surprise. It’s 7+6 and still anxious!

Aria2015 · 12/03/2020 20:06

Just checking in. So great to read about all the positive scans! Great pics too!

Knotemma · 12/03/2020 20:33

Picture of the goblin and of Giovanni Perniche from the show tonight, so pleased that a few of us have had a good day

SammiLou2312 · 12/03/2020 21:32

Naww beautiful pic @knotemma x

Knotemma · 12/03/2020 23:14

Aww thanks @SammiLou2312, I love you're little ones ninja kick! And your bump is gorgeous... I just look like I've eaten too much white bread! It's all just pudge and bloat 😂 finding an outfit for this evening was a challenge.

@DressingGown87 the only time that I don't have some level of anxiety is when I'm physically laid in the table watching the ultrasound screen. I'm much less "up a height" than I was on an everyday basis, but I am constantly slightly tense and anxious. It's not all consuming any more though and has definitely gotten down to manageable levels.
Getting to 12 weeks was a massive deal for us, as all of our losses have been so early. I'm definitely starting to believe that this could be our rainbow.

@Tiniestsky welcome and gentle congratulations on your BFP. I remember that feeling of staring at the test thinking, nah that can't be right. Everything crossed that this is your time x

Tiniestsky · 12/03/2020 23:27

@DressingGown87 congratulations to you too, I just keep pep talking myself daily, forcing myself to think one positive thing at least

Tiniestsky · 12/03/2020 23:28

@Knotemma thank you, congratulations to you too, keeping everything crossed that third time is lucky. Would be nice to switch my brain off sometimes though lol

MissSparkles81 · 13/03/2020 07:35

Morning everyone joining in from the penguin thread. Got my BFP this morning 🌈 AF was due tomorrow.

This was our 2nd month of trying after our loss in Nov at 8 weeks. Im excited but also kind of numb at the same time.

Praying our rainbow sticks.

tmc14 · 13/03/2020 07:51

Morning all, finding it hard to keep up this week, my anxiety is quite bad (think it will be until my 12 week scan in 3 and a bit weeks). Have gone from not really thinking about the pregnancy to thinking about it constantly, checking the toilet paper every time I go, the next 3 weeks cannot go fast enough.

But congratulations on the scans, the pictures are lovely. Welcome to the new joiners, especially @misssparkles81 ! We had similar issues ttc so particularly happy to see you over here. xx
