Did anyone get their BFP recently? I got mine last night so I think I'm 4 weeks 1 day today and still very much in shock, according to apps my due date would be October 30th.

@roarfeckingroar Harmony screen is non invasive test for genetic abnormalities, there are several options with what conditions are included. The basic is trisomies 21, 18, and 13 (it's more accurate than standard NHS screen). I will be going to slightly extended one, and as they will be looking at sex chromosomes they can tell you the gender of the baby at the same time ☺️ Where I am they don't tell you the gender of baby at 20 week scan, and I definitely want to know.

Preggerspat · 28/03/2020 13:21

Hi everyone, been creeping on here for a few weeks and have just decided to join. I am 10 weeks preg on Monday with my 3rd baby, due 24 Oct. I have had awful vomiting and constant nausea for past 5 weeks, long story short ended up getting cyclizine a week ago which stopped the vomiting right away thankfully and I'm only just from yesterday getting small breaks from nausea. I was nothing like this with my last two babies. Finally feeling a bit stronger now, and because of all of that drama this coronavirus has been going over my head a bit but feel like the reality of it all is starting to hit. I dont have my booking in appointment and scan until 15april, I dont even feel pregnant I just feel ill and useless xx wishing my life away to get over this 1st trimester xx

Mc3209 · 28/03/2020 15:05

@Preggerspat welcome :) sounds like you are having tough time. I am glad cyclizine is helping. Hopefully once you clear the first trimester things will get better!

professorastrocat · 28/03/2020 19:28

Welcome @Preggerspat that sounds tough! I totally get why you'd want the 2nd trimester ASAP! Glad to have you here. I've only just joined the thread last week 😊

Preggerspat · 28/03/2020 19:38

Awk thank you, I was so adamant I would never take anything for sickness but I have never experienced anything like that in my life! Cant wait until everyone starts putting on here their first scan experiences xxx

DressingGown87 · 28/03/2020 22:08

@roarfeckingroar happy birthday!! Hope you’ve had a nice day!

@Mc3209 my next scan is this Wednesday I will be 10+5. I’m so tired today, I’ve slept most of the day, and when ive got up I’m dizzy. I hate this COVID on top of pregnancy symptoms, feel like I don’t know what’s what, and my own body anymore. How you feeling?

@Preggerspat Welcome and congratulations! Glad the anti sickness tablets have helped. I don’t feel pregnant, so don’t worry, just like I need sleep and lots of it!

roarfeckingroar · 28/03/2020 22:22

That's interesting, I definitely want to know the sex. Do you have to pay for a private one?

roarfeckingroar · 28/03/2020 22:29

I had a wonderful day thank you for your lovely wishes AND when we went out for a walk and the sun was going down, DP dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him! Very happy and absolutely shattered Grin.

WaveStreet · 28/03/2020 22:35

@roarfeckingroar glad you had a lovely birthday and what wonderful news on your engagement! Big congratulations!

Mc3209 · 28/03/2020 22:45

@roarfeckingroar Congratulations!! What a wonderful day you had! You had a feeling he was going to propose, didn't you! Massive congratulations once again! I am so very happy for you 😘😘

Re Harmony, in few circumstances you might get it offered on NHS if there is strong family history and abnormal routine screen (might be geography dependent), however I went private for it. It's not the cheapest thing out there but it's worth it (to me at least).

Mc3209 · 28/03/2020 22:50

@DressingGown87 I've spent my day hibernating too, just have no energy. I've had wobble today, for no reason whatsoever, about that fear of missed miscarriage. I can't wait for this first trimester to be over so I can relax a bit. Most days I am fine, but every now and again I get myself into a spin. Very frustrating. Just need to get back to taking it one day at a time.

DressingGown87 · 28/03/2020 23:16

@roarfeckingroar Huge congratulations! What an amazing way to spend your birthday!

@mc3209 sorry to hear that you’ve had a wobble day too! Think there is just a range of things which have irritated me, day 10 of not seeing anyone or leaving the house too, so I literally don’t have any human interaction, apart from 5 minutes a day when I get injected. So think it’s just taking its toll. But as you say one day at a time.

Flora20 · 29/03/2020 08:25

@roarfeckingroar congratulations! Lovely to hear happy news at the moment! X

1990shopefulftm · 29/03/2020 11:04

Congrats @roarfeckingroar 😀

roarfeckingroar · 29/03/2020 13:05

Thank you 😊

How's everyone feeling today?

Flora20 · 29/03/2020 13:26

@roarfeckingroar Bored 😂 it's been snowing on and off all day, I got used to the nice weather and feeling very cooped up suddenly! Pregnancy wise, absolutely fine.

1990shopefulftm · 29/03/2020 14:13

@roarfeckingroar, i m feeling okay, took a while to get going with back pain today but seems to sort itself out usually. Been doing a bit off online shopping as i m running out of comfy bras and need some clothes.

OP posts:
professorastrocat · 29/03/2020 14:34

Oh I need to get some comfy bras - any recommendations?

DressingGown87 · 29/03/2020 14:45

@1990shopefulftm I’ve just said to my friend I’m going to have to bite the bullet and get some comfy leggings and bras 😂
I’ve had bad cramping all night, hoping a walk will help it pass!

1990shopefulftm · 29/03/2020 14:51

@DressingGown87 my leggings are still fitting just, it's my bloat/bump that's the issue and slightly bigger boobs. get what you need to wear to be comfy. I hope the walk helps you.

@professorastrocat i've ordered some non-wired ones from Boux avenue, i think i've gone up to a 34d from a 32d so it was tricky to find them, they have a 20% sale today so got a few to try.

professorastrocat · 29/03/2020 15:13

Thank you. I'll have a look. One benefit at the moment is I can just let the gut all hang out , would have been hard to be inconspicuous in the office I think I've put loads on and any weight always makes me look pregnant.

KitKatKit · 29/03/2020 15:16

Ah amazing news, congrats @roarfeckingroar !

@Flora20 I hear you, the change of weather has thrown me today! Today is definitely a hibernation day.

@professorastrocat I hate bras at the best of times, but M&S have some good non wired tshirty ones, and Uniqlo do camisole tops with padding which are pretty handy too!

@DressingGown87 Sorry to hear about your cramping. I was up at 5am with lower back pain, finally fell back asleep after an hour but my god it was painful. Only 6 ish more months of this to endure 🙄

KitKatKit · 29/03/2020 15:22

In other news, I'm down to my last 14 days worth of Seven Seas pregnancy vitamins (which don't trigger migraines like bloody Pregnacare).

Out of stock on Amazon, Boots have an online queue of 230,566 people ahead of me Grin, and Superdrug claim I can Collect in Store only (but the store is closed).

I know it's not the absolute worst thing to run low on (I have plenty of Vit D and Folic Acid separately anyway), but we really are living through a funny old time aren't we!

Mc3209 · 29/03/2020 15:38

@KitKatKit good thing you have enough folic acid and vit D separately. Definitely a funny time.

@1990shopefulftm maternity leggings are super comfy with the bloat/bump. Highly recommend. I've been wearing sports bras so far, but they are getting a bit tight. normal bras are still ok-ish for now. I will hold out for a bit longer and then get maternity bras that would hopefully last all the way through breast feeding.

I was hoping to sort out the garden today, but the weather is rubbish, so I ended up deep cleaning the sofa instead. Now I am knackered with back pain and belly cramps, so I am going to spend the rest of the day with my feet up.
