Did anyone get their BFP recently? I got mine last night so I think I'm 4 weeks 1 day today and still very much in shock, according to apps my due date would be October 30th.

@MamaNaz20 it makes me a bit nervous but as it's my first baby, i won't have anything to compare with. I don't want a hospital ward birth if it can be avoided so hoping nothing closes the midwife unit or i d be leaning towards a home birth.

@1990shopefulftm glad you got your cake! I love a steak dinner! Hope he got some peppercorn sauce! I’m a Christmas baby, so I usually get no cake, or Christmas cake 😂

I’m sure they will get everyone seen and sorted in some way! When’s your 12week scan?

DressingGown87 · 25/03/2020 20:48

@1990shopefulftm just remembered you haven’t got it yet 🙈 staying at home is making me loose my mind!

1990shopefulftm · 25/03/2020 21:06

@DressingGown87 no I don't, I ll ask about it on Friday. I m hoping I m going to find things to keep my brain going now I ll be working from home.

@1990shopefulftm I’ve found making lists help! Set times for cleaning, doing you tube work outs, gardening and baking. Around working. But still feel like I’m going slightly brain numb!

1990shopefulftm · 25/03/2020 21:20

@DressingGown87 my work will still be set shifts and we ll get lists of things to work through so there's still structure in that sense. Its just going to be strange only needing to go into the next room to work rather than an office.

OP posts:
DressingGown87 · 25/03/2020 21:23

@1990shopefulftm at least you have some structure then. I also try and make sure I get dressed and up for the day, before I sit at the computer, even though I’m tempted to stay in my pjs 😂

mamavee · 25/03/2020 21:28

Thanks @MamaNaz20 I think I'll take your advice then and give them as bell as I went to the GP a month ago. X

1990shopefulftm · 25/03/2020 21:43

@DressingGown87 I ll try to get dressed in what I would normally wear for work on Monday although that is jeans and T-shirt.

Happy birthday @1990shopefulftm!! Have a wonderful day filled with love and good wishes! 😘😘

1990shopefulftm · 26/03/2020 07:57

@Mc3209 thank you, going to go on a short walk to get some exercise but then trying to make the most of today despite being stuck indoors.

Happy birthday @1990shopefulftm caterpillar cakes are the best cakes! I'm hoping for one for my 32nd birthday on Saturday.

I have my 12 week scan a week today!! I'll be 12+2 so bang on the right time. Can't wait.

1990shopefulftm · 26/03/2020 09:44

@roarfeckingroar thank you :)
So my hospital from today has confirmed no partners staying after birth with mums overnight and having to attend appointments alone, I haven't put I m dyslexic on my notes but might change it now so they could be more open to me having written questions with me incase I forget to ask something.
I m so glad we paid for a private scan because at the moment DH won't see one again.

Hi everyone
New here. This will be my first. 9+2 today. I went for a private scan this morning as have had a bit of spotting. All was fine. The place I went to are not allowing partners. I have my booking appointment next week, hoping they can do it over the phone.

DressingGown87 · 26/03/2020 11:40

@1990shopefulftm Happy birthday to you! At least the sun is shining! I’m hoping by October they have lifted them restrictions, not really for myself, but for others. I’m sure they will let you ask lots of questions, and won’t mind you writing them down beforehand.

@lolllyf congratulations! And welcome. Glad you scan went ok.

roarfeckingroar · 26/03/2020 12:05

Welcome @Lolllyf

@DressingGown87 I had a text too about my scan next week. Glad DP could come to the private scan two weeks ago. It'll be fine; he can see a picture.

1990shopefulftm · 26/03/2020 12:17

@DressingGown87 yes I went out in it this morning for about 10 minutes, going to do that early every morning now as I think it ll help. I ve had a vitamin d deficiency before and I m taking supplements now but I really don't want it to happen again.

How are you all feeling? ☺️

KitKatKit · 26/03/2020 18:27

@1990shopefulftm Happy Birthday! Hope you've had a lovely day Flowers

@roarfeckingroar Hope everything was okay at the scan!

@mc3209 Feeling better today! I seem to have a slow start to each week, get a sudden burst of energy on a Thursday and then I crash again on Friday! How are you?

1990shopefulftm · 26/03/2020 18:31

@KitKatKit I have thank you, not what I originally planned for today but made the best of it.
@Mc3209 I m feeling more bloated than ever (I have what looks like a bump but it's too early to have one) but I think perhaps the tiredness might be getting a bit better which is good and I m 9 weeks tommorow with no morning sickness.

OP posts:
Mc3209 · 26/03/2020 18:35

@KitKatKit, I am glad to hear that Thursday is your energetic day. I've been quite productive today too. Planning on getting that Disney channel thingy, and spending my weekend with cartoons. Roll on weekend (yes, there is still Friday to go, but I am nevertheless excited).

Mc3209 · 26/03/2020 18:37

@1990shopefulftm Bloated has been my normal shape for the past few weeks, although it is worse in the evenings.

Mc3209 · 26/03/2020 18:48

I am a bit on the fence about getting a Doppler for home. I can just myself going nuts if for whatever reason I would not be able to find a heartbeat.. what do you guys think?

PS apologies for triple post. My brain only produces thoughts in small chunks these days.

1990shopefulftm · 26/03/2020 18:56

@Mc3209 yeah, my bloating never really goes down. I've heard they are tricky to use and to know it's definitely baby's heartbeat you're hearing.

@1990shopefulftm Happy Birthday hope you enjoyed the beautiful sunny day

I just searched how long more will I be this tired in google ! I should know having this experience a few years ago but I forgot - I get so tired early evenings I am in tears from both nausea and exhaustion! I can't wait for the first trimester to go away ; the risk will be lower afterwards, we will all feel much better and life will become easier I am sure ...
