Did anyone get their BFP recently? I got mine last night so I think I'm 4 weeks 1 day today and still very much in shock, according to apps my due date would be October 30th.

Hi @MamaNaz20 mine cost £99 in London. Not cheap but for me, entirely worth it.

roarfeckingroar · 05/03/2020 14:29

@Danielle95lab mine comes and goes. I think it's different for everyone.

roarfeckingroar · 05/03/2020 14:30

@MamaNaz20 I have a GP appointment tomorrow, will be my first one and I need a separate prescription review. I'm not sure if I will then be referred for a scan? It's all very new.

Welcome and congratulations @Applesandlemons !

It's my first too, we sound a similar way along (I haven't a clue of precise dates and won't until after my scan next week). It was also a bit of a surprise for me.

How do you feel? Are you happy?

Applesandlemons · 05/03/2020 15:00

@roarfeckingroar me too! I’m just estimating but were hoping to go for a private scan in a couple of weeks so hopefully that will give more info.

Really happy! But also nervous about everything being ok etc. Sounds like everyone is feeling that though which is reassuring

naffplatypus · 05/03/2020 15:10

Hi all, I'm 6 weeks pregnant with my second and really struggling to believe it. I am feeling so nauseous but I keep making excuses about it being nothing to do with pregnancy! The baby is very much wanted but I seem to be in complete denial about it! Anyone else struggling with this? @applesandlemons, not had to have a day off yet, but I think I probably will tomorrow- I've felt awful all day and not got a thing done!

roarfeckingroar · 05/03/2020 15:30

@Applesandlemons we really all are but it's a good sort of nervous. I cannot wait for my scan next week! Have you arranged yours?

roarfeckingroar · 05/03/2020 15:32

@naffplatypus I've been away all week living out of hotels for work which has been tiring as dinners / drinking every night and "I'm not drinking for lent" isn't going down so well, but usually I work from home a few days a week which has made it much easier. Can you do that at all?

naffplatypus · 05/03/2020 15:41

It's completely fine for me to work at home, I'm just a bit rubbish at it and just wander around the kitchen looking for stuff to eat!

1990shopefulftm · 05/03/2020 15:42

@Danielle95lab had it once before my positive test but no nausea otherwise since. I m not too worried as I ve read that it doesn't necessarily mean anything.
I was expecting to as my mum had HG with me and my sister but I m 6 weeks tommorow so still time for it to kick in.

@Danielle95lab I’m 6+4 & don’t have any symptoms really 🤷‍♀️ Maybe a bit more tired? But DS isn’t totally well & yesterday woke up needing the bed stripped at 5.42am & this morning it was 5am so that could explain it!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Danielle95lab · 05/03/2020 16:07

@Minster2012 @1990shopefulftm thanks you lovely lot! You've made me feel a bit better. I do tend to feel rough in the middle of the night and as soon as I wake up a bit nauseous but otherwise fine 🤷🏻‍♀️ might be one of the lucky ones haha xx

1990shopefulftm · 05/03/2020 16:14

@Danielle95lab I read that 20% of pregnant people don't have morning sickness at all so it's not too uncommon.
We re likely just lucky ones :) yeah it takes me longer to get going in the morning with the tiredness.

AdventureAhead · 05/03/2020 16:20

@Danielle95lab No nausea etc here either! It worried me at first but reading a few articles and posts on here has reassured me and I'm now just seeing it as a blessing. Still plenty of time for it to kick in!

@mamanaz20 No offence taken at all! I do feel I'm over thinking everything a little and wonder if most people generally worry a bit less/just have more idea what they are doing and how to handle things in their 2nd/3rd pregnancies!

Frankincense88 · 05/03/2020 16:34

@Danielle95lab no nausea here at all. Which I'm pretty grateful for but still doing my daily test to check it's still in there 😂

KitKatKit · 05/03/2020 16:57

Hello to all new folks :) @MamaNaz20 I have my booking in appointment next Weds, but I don't have any other antenatal /GP or scan's booked in.

I'm just waiting til the booking in for the midwife to tell me what I need to do and crossing my fingers that everything is okay.

I've had constant nausea for about 12 days, so I'm hoping that means that something is growing in there!

Helly88 · 05/03/2020 16:59

Hi @MamaNaz20 I had a scan at just over 6 weeks as I'd had a bleed - it was an internal scan as the nurse said she wouldn't have been able to see much on an external one! Got a follow up one next week but not sure what that will be?!

Helly88 · 05/03/2020 17:02

@roarfeckingroar haha I'd not thought of the not drinking for lent excuse....just been saying I continued Dry January into February as I enjoyed it so much Hmm not likely! haha!

Rb486 · 05/03/2020 17:05

I’m the same as you. I’m very slim and have small boobs but they are aching. But I would normally get that on and off with period. I’m coming up to 6 weeks, found out nearly a week ago. I’ve been having the same, mild cramping. Not painful but apparently that’s all to do with the uterus growing. I had to self refer to the midwife, did that Monday but haven’t heard anything yet, don’t expect to for a few weeks. I’m exactly the same, won’t believe it until I can see baby. Lots of people have had early scans. Does anyone else feel like they want one? Xxx

Minster2012 · 05/03/2020 17:17

@Rb486 our pregnancy is IVF & we get a viability scan at 7/8 weeks (ours is 8 weeks so on 18th March) & my booking in appointment the day after & with no symptoms yet & yet “knowing so soon” about the pregnancy it’s sooooo long to wait (still 2 weeks away) for both it’s torture & I won’t believe it’s real til then 😬

Littlebb2020 · 05/03/2020 17:25

Minster2012

I’ve just had ivf and have the scan at 7 I have booked a private this Sunday though 😬
I also feel like it’s no real and won’t believe it till I see it!

roarfeckingroar · 05/03/2020 17:32

@Helly88 everyone who knows me knows I have very strong anti dry January feelings so this is proving very difficult!!! There's been free drinks every night this week - a free bottle was even brought to my room last night! It's like the universe is conspiring.

GP appointment tomorrow morning. Hopefully it'll make it feel more real, even though not much will happen AFAIK.

1990shopefulftm · 05/03/2020 17:37

@Rb486 I ve got a private early scan booked for 8 weeks.

@roarfeckingroar everyone keeps asking why I’m not drinking, just haven’t addressed it! I’m so tired at work in the mornings and later afternoon, they think I’m hungover 🙈 Hope your GP appointment goes well
