Did anyone get their BFP recently? I got mine last night so I think I'm 4 weeks 1 day today and still very much in shock, according to apps my due date would be October 30th.

@tulip2020 & @Littlebb2020 🤞🏻🤞🏻For both of you for our DS we had spotting and all was well, a lot of ppl do 🍀

@Danielle95lab no it should be fine for a heartbeat at 7 weeks, we saw one at just over 6 weeks at an EPU scan after bleeding noted above despite them saying we likely wouldn’t and our IVF clinic do viability scans from 7 weeks so you should be fine. If you want to see more then yes 8 weeks but a heartbeat should be shown at 7 xx

Mc3209 · 04/03/2020 15:40

@Danielle95lab I have mine booked for 7 weeks on the dot too. Should be fine ( unless my dates are off for whatever reason).

tulip2020 · 04/03/2020 15:50

Thanks so much @Minster2012 ❤️

Just back from the scan and looking like things are ok, although I'm measuring at 5+1 so a full week behind where I thought I would, which is weird as I was using opks so pretty much know when I ovulated 🤷‍♀️ anyway they've booked me in for another scan in 2 weeks and hopefully that will be more reassuring!

People should really warn you about this early pregnancy bleeding, jeez!!

ablisha · 04/03/2020 16:36

@DressingGown87 ours advised anything over 7 weeks. They said 6 weeks was too early. We went for 8 weeks to the day just to be sure x

roarfeckingroar · 04/03/2020 17:19

Sorry to hear so many of you are having a stressful time.

I'm on day 3, city 2 of working away this week. Nausea is making it tricky but working from my hotel room between meetings is brilliant for naps! Third night out on the trot tonight. Last night was tricky to avoid alcohol, colleagues just wouldn't believe the "I've given up for lent" line, my reputation for booze precedes me! I ended up having a glass of champagne and drinking a couple of sips and chucking the rest down the loo.

Helly88 · 04/03/2020 17:38

Hi Everyone! New on here and just posted on the October thread as didn't see this one... They have migrated to FB.....not quite ready for that yet! haha!
I'm due around 20th Oct I think. 1st baby so feeling super nervous! Look forward to chatting! :-)

Helly88 · 04/03/2020 17:55

@Littlebb2020 sorry you are going through this :-( I had a similar thing last week - frightened me so much :-( Went to the docs and was referred to EPAU for an early scan they said it's totally normal a-lot of the time but they still wanted to check me just incase. Saw a heartbeat which was amazing but they want me to go back again in 2 weeks as a precaution. really scary time and google-ing was actually my worst nightmare....i'd advise against this! really hoping all ok for you and that you get checked out!

1990shopefulftm · 04/03/2020 18:06

my bloating seems to be getting worse, doesn't look quite like a bump but if i wore tight clothes it'd be noticeable my stomach is suddenly a little bigger, luckily my worse is dress down so I've been in baggy jumpers and hoodies.

DressingGown87 · 04/03/2020 21:12

@Littlebb2020 @tulip2020 hope you’re both ok and had positive news! Thinking of you both! I’m also measuring behind! Hopefully they will catch up!

@adventureahead could you say you have a UTI, so bouncing may not help, and your on strong antibiotics and can’t drink?

@Danielle95lab I had my scan on Monday (NHS) and I was 6+3 but only measured 5+6. They could see the sac etc and heartbeat, on both the tummy scan (don’t know the medical lingo) and internal scan.

@1990shopefulftm I’m with you on the baggy clothes! Huge bloat!

1990shopefulftm · 04/03/2020 21:26

@DressingGown87 With the baggy clothes hiding it at work has been easy, a little nervous to hide it from a couple of friends that I m away with this weekend, if the morning sickness doesn't kick in I think i ll be okay.

OP posts:
DressingGown87 · 04/03/2020 21:31

@1990shopefulftm I don’t often wear bagging clothes, so people are going to probably wondering why I’ve changed style! But I do have a dressing down at work, which I’ve been putting on 🙈 fingers crossed the morning sickness stays away! Mines creeping back I think!

MamaNaz20 · 04/03/2020 21:41

@AdventureAhead sorry I didnt mean that I just meant you can probably keep it private until 12 weeks because it's your first whereas for some second time mums like me this may not even be an option as I am much bigger than last time already! So I am going to let people know when I can no longer hide it ...

MamaNaz20 · 04/03/2020 21:50

@Helly88 welcome :)
@Littlebb2020 I had this with my last pregnancy - it could be stressful but it was all OK- try not to worry it can be normal in soMe pregnancies

MamaNaz20 · 05/03/2020 11:44

Hi Ladies
For those who had early private scan, (which I think is called viability scan?) is it vaginal or is it like a normal scan ?

Littlebb2020 · 05/03/2020 12:32

@MamaNaz20 Thankyou for your reassuring words! I’ve had no more spotting for now so hoping it was just that once x

I’m having a scan this Sunday at 6.3 weeks and it is an internal scan. I think they do internals in the first trimester x

DressingGown87 · 05/03/2020 12:57

@MamaNaz20 I went for a Nhs scan at 6+3 could see from the tummy scan (Don’t know what the professional word is) the heartbeat, sac etc... but did an internal too for clarity. I was busting for a wee so she let me go before doing internal!

roarfeckingroar · 05/03/2020 13:18

@MamaNaz20 hiya, my private scan is end of next week and it's like a tummy one you would have on the NHS at 12 weeks only earlier. Very excited!

I think I asked before but is anyone else planning to have a doula? I am meeting two over the next week who provide antenatal visits, help you to work out what you want and put together a birth plan, are present during birth and advocate on your behalf if things don't go to plan and then provide a bit of postnatal / breast feeding support. They both sound lovely on the phone so really looking forward to it.

MamaNaz20 · 05/03/2020 13:22

Thank you all ladies

@roarfeckingroar the idea always sounded pretty good to me but never considered it fearing it will cost an arm and a leg at the time I am trying to save to compensate for low income after 6weeks of maternity leave ...

MamaNaz20 · 05/03/2020 13:29

I just booked myself for a private scan and also harmony test but it's 7th April - so in ages.

Is there anybody else who has had no contact from antenatal clinic yet and no NHS appointment set yet ?

DressingGown87 · 05/03/2020 13:39

@MamaNaz20 no I’ve just chased mine, as I am “high risk” and should be consultant led, and on daily injections.

Littlebb2020 · 05/03/2020 14:13

@MamaNaz20 I don’t have an antenatal appointment yet either I have a scan booked for 7 week mark at the clinic I had ivf.
Then I get discharged back to my gp so assuming I’ll just get an appointment then
Best to give your gp a call x

MamaNaz20 · 05/03/2020 14:14

Oh my so if they haven't called you @DressingGown87 yet I am expecting too much perhaps

My previous pregnancy went well until 36 W then there was a big problem and we went through a little bit of hell - DS was born unresponsive and went to intensive care for more than a week. DS is all well and great now; but we had lots of ups and downs
Because of this I was told if I was pregnant again I will be closely monitored ... I am referred to the same hospital ...

MamaNaz20 · 05/03/2020 14:18

@Littlebb2020 I did contact my GP and she did refer me to antenatal and she said I will hear from them- but that was two weeks ago and I haven't heard yet ...

Danielle95lab · 05/03/2020 14:21

Anyone else not experiencing any nausea or morning sickness? It making me worry😂

DressingGown87 · 05/03/2020 14:27

@MamaNaz20 my GP just called me and said I should have got an appointment through, given my history. But she is going to chase it, and should be seen I the next week. She said they just deal with them in order, so it may just be they are busy, but will mark it as high.

@Danielle95lab my symptoms have also gone. Sometimes I think that nausea is returning but then doesn’t.
