Did anyone get their BFP recently? I got mine last night so I think I'm 4 weeks 1 day today and still very much in shock, according to apps my due date would be October 30th.

@1990shopefulftm Thanks for the scan info lovely, I'll wait for the booking in then.

@BoopsBoops87 welcome and sending you sympathies, I also have this never ending nausea and it's been a week!

As per @Flora20 suggestion, travel sickness bands seem to take the edge off. I'm also downing ginger tea and plain crackers. Oh and greek yoghurt seems to be settling my stomach too.
Good luck with your move!

Flora20 · 01/03/2020 16:10

@KitKatKit Yes, I ate gallons of yoghurt with blueberries last time round, was the only thing I wanted for a few weeks 😂

roarfeckingroar · 01/03/2020 16:54

@KitKatKit @Flora20 @BoopsBoops87 I thought my nausea was actually getting better then promptly had DP pull over on an A road so I could vomit outside. Fun fun fun.

Jadegkeaney · 01/03/2020 17:49

Found out I was pregnant on the 24th feb. Should be due 27th october. Got first midwife appointment Friday and a early scan Thursday as I have bad endo so consultant wants to see me. I'm so paranoid it's not going well..thinking it's a blighted ovum. Symtoms seems to have subsided a bit.. hcg have more then doubled though. I've had very light bleeding start today like when I wipe. I hate the waiting game

BS9790 · 01/03/2020 18:04

Can I ask if people have been suffering with cramps?
Mine have changed now and they're really quite painful.
I think it could more be down to digestive/wind problems Blush but it feels just like bad period cramp, or similar.

Anyone had anything like this?

ablisha · 01/03/2020 18:07

@BS9790 I had a bought of cramps which I would say were definitely worse than the norm and it turned out to be a lot of wind!

ablisha · 01/03/2020 18:08

@BS9790 also I asked the midwife on the phone about period type cramps when I was making my booking appointment and she said unless it is severe and just like period pains it's nothing to worry about!

BS9790 · 01/03/2020 18:12

@ablisha thanks, yes I was thinking maybe wind! Not something ive ever had trouble with before so not sure what the pains are like!! I know I'm paranoid because of previous MC, need to try not to worry.

The pains have been waking me up in the night and I'm already struggling with sleep. So tired!!

ablisha · 01/03/2020 18:15

@BS9790 if you're really worried, always seek advice from your midwife team. This is my first pregnancy and I'm so nervous but am just trying to think that no sign is a good sign!

tulip2020 · 01/03/2020 18:21

Is anyone else feeling SO tired?! I feel like I sleep for 8 hours and wake up as tired as I went to bed 😂 so hard to do anything at the moment! No nausea for me yet though, how about everyone else?

HelenMarie1001 · 01/03/2020 18:38

Hi, I'm due 31st October according to NHS. First baby and feeling very anxious! I have my first Midwife appointment 13/2, it seems so far away!!

BoopsBoops87 · 01/03/2020 18:50

@roarfeckingroar Thanks for the welcome and congrats!! I'm still in shock! I am semi-grateful for the morning sickness, because that (and being utterly exhausted all the time) is the only thing that's convinced me that it's actually worked! I had to take 3 tests just to be sure. 7 week scan is coming up, so I'm excited for that. It'll be nice to walk into the clinic for a very positive reason.
I have been avoiding tablets/medication like the plague because I have no clue what possible side effects there could be - so sensible advice :)

BoopsBoops87 · 01/03/2020 18:56

@Flora20 @KitKatKit Thank you so much for the tips! I will definitely try the ginger biscuits, fennel tea and travel bands. At the moment, I'm guzzling salt and vinegar crisps (seems pretty good for getting rid of "that taste" in my mouth) and Ribena - my mum used to give me hot Ribena when I was ill, so perhaps it's just a comfort blanket haha! I hope you guys aren't suffering too badly!!!

BoopsBoops87 · 01/03/2020 19:00

@tulip2020 I'm exactly the same!! However much you sleep, it never seems enough! I'm falling asleep in the middle of the day too, like an old pensioner. And forget trying to get to an exercise class - I don't know about you, but it feels like my limbs are full of lead!

Flora20 · 01/03/2020 19:12

@BoopsBoops87 I've been all about the s&v crisps the last few days, not usually a crisp eater at all!
@roarfeckingroar Hopefully the car episode was a one off! I get a lift to work with a colleague, slightly fearing having to ask him to pull over 😂

@tulip2020 I am so tired... Planning to go to bed with my 2 year old in a couple of minutes!

KitKatKit · 01/03/2020 19:15

Oh @roarfeckingroar bless you. Hope you haven't thrown up since. I'm having a real issue with motion sickness (never previously had any issues) but in the last 10 days or so, cars and trains make me so so nauseous.

@BS9790 my cramps were bad around the 5 week mark, but I'm 6+4 and they have subsided. Through the worst of them I was just thinking "it's making space for the baby!"

DressingGown87 · 01/03/2020 22:01

@BS9790 I’ve also suffered with period like cramping. More on the left side. So your not the only one, i spoke to the midwife on the phone and she said that it’s normal. Find it’s worse in the morning and when I’ve eaten (so also may be wind)!

@roarfeckingroar hope your feeling better! I also go crazy stuck in the house, been out for a bit today, to get some fresh air.

@BoopsBoops87 congratulations and welcome!

I’ve found finer biscuits, natural yoghurt have been good at settling the nausea. And I’ve slept so much, 14hours the other day!

roarfeckingroar · 01/03/2020 22:37

Oh I could sleep for England but to be fair I'm always that way. I love a good snooze.

Thank you @Flora20 and @1990shopefulftm , the car episode was quite funny. I don't mind being sick and we were en route to a country pub. I managed to keep down a gigantic 3 course meal including venison so nausea can't be too bad!! Grin

roarfeckingroar · 01/03/2020 22:38

Sorry also thanks @KitKatKit , there's lots of people on here now I might actually make a table 🤓

Frankincense88 · 02/03/2020 06:40

Morning ladies! After some advice - I've thrown my back out loading the dishwasher (long term injury which flares up now and again) and I've been in absolute agony for 24 hours. Can't really walk or sit down. Usually I just knock back a load of painkillers but obviously can't! Any home remedies? Frozen peas just aren't cutting it! 😭😭😭

MrsCl19 · 02/03/2020 07:11

Hi ladies can I join? I'm due around October 28th! Although if this baby is anything like dd won't give birth till November 🤣

So far have not really had any symptoms which makes me slightly anxious but just started with the odd bit of nausea

KitKatKit · 02/03/2020 07:20

@Frankincense88 That sounds dreadful! Have you got any Tiger Balm? It's a muscle rub.

@roarfeckingroar there's loads of us now 😆

Frankincense88 · 02/03/2020 07:23

@KitKatKit I have got tiger balm as I use it for headaches - is it safe? I read online somewhere that it was 'unknown' as to whether it was safe or not? Xxx

1990shopefulftm · 02/03/2020 08:36

@Frakincense88 cold patches are safe i think which might be helpful.
