So today I found out I’m pregnant with #1 ! & I honestly haven’t stopped crying with happiness all morning. Although I know it’s early days, I just wanted to see if there were any other early Oct babies due so that we can share the journey! I’m over the moon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi everyone, I'm 4+4 today with #1 - we've been trying for 2 years. I caught on my 2nd round of clomid. Can't believe it still. I am obviously elated but absolutely terrified. Found out at 3.5 weeks so I've know for over a week!

I've booked an early scan for 6+6 which will be on 19th Feb. Absolutely bricking it - been convincing myself it's all going to be snatched away from me 😓 really struggling with the anxiety of it all!!

Fingers crossed we all have happy and healthy pregnancies 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻❤️

Cookie29 · 03/02/2020 13:01

Ahh ok, thanks for confirming! Sounds a good idea, is this a private scan? Booking an appointment with my Doctor on Thursday/Friday! Can’t wait to find out more, though trying not to get too excited!

Cookie29 · 03/02/2020 13:04

I feel a bit anxious too, you’re not alone! We need loads of happy, positive vibes for us all 😘😘

LeeCee · 03/02/2020 13:08

Hi all 👋 can I cautiously join? Got my BFP on Saturday morning. I thought I was 9 dpo but the lines came up so clear and fast I got a CB weeks indicator and that says 3+ weeks so now I am totally lost as to due date. I had been BF my little girl until Christmas and cycle was only just settling when we started trying. Had a bleed in Jan which I figured was my period returning but now wondering was it an implantation bleed. So I'm confused, excited, nervous and terrified it could be twins! Could really use fellow Oct mums support!

These are my tests from sat 🙈😱

@bluemoon2468 cutest scan pic ever 🤰❤️xx

MrsB1821 · 03/02/2020 13:43

@bluemoon2468 I’m booking my early scan in today - So excited!

Just got back from a girly weekend - it was sooooo hard! One of them guessed and I had to really blag the whole antibiotics thing - I was like don’t be so silly!!!
In my head I was like heheheh they don’t know about bean - yep DH has nick named it already! X

Catred4 · 03/02/2020 20:38

So I'm seeing the doctor on Wednesday. I know they're going to ask for the first day of my last period which I can give but I actually have 33/34 day long cycles so if they work it on a 28 day cycle then the EDD could be up to 6 days out. Anyone else in a simile situation? Will you give the real period date or one that works out at 14 days before ovulation?

BecauseReasons · 03/02/2020 20:51

I know they're going to ask for the first day of my last period

Did you tell the receptionist what you're going for? When I went to the doctor they just shrugged at me and told me to book a midwife appointment at reception. I felt really embarrassed and dismissed, so I'd advise you to check what protocol is where you are if you haven't already.

WRT dates, when I got to the midwife, I hadn't had a period in about eight years but she estimated based on the date of the positive test and was only about a week out. Don't overthink it too much. Just tell her about your cycle length and she'll figure it out.

MrsB1821 · 03/02/2020 22:03

@LeeCee - me too!!! Plus I am SUPER hungry and starting to show already! I know you can get bloating but this is silly! I’m a size 8 and had to go buy size 12 knickers already! Even my pjs are not so comfy!!!

Mahmee · 04/02/2020 00:14

I'm 42 and got a BFP on Saturday. As far as I'm aware it's the first time I've ever been pregnant (was TTC since August). EDD is 3rd Oct - I'm so excited and happy!

permanentlyshattered1 · 04/02/2020 02:56

Hi guys, can I join too? Got my BFP yesterday with the clear blue test saying 2-3 weeks. Was in a bit of shock first but now really excited (hence being awake at this time with my mind racing). Just having some mild period like cramps and have really sore boobs.

MotherAughra · 04/02/2020 06:28

@Catred4 I conceived DD straight after a miscarriage so didn't have my last period date, I told them when I ovulated and they added two weeks and worked form that until my scan,

As PP said our GP doesn't even see us, we book straight in with the midwife so worth checking it's not a wasted trip for you

Spark27 · 04/02/2020 07:50

@LeeCee, that's exciting. Hopefully they might scan you early to try and work out what dates you're on. Crazy to think you were 9dpo and then got a 3+ weeks! Maybe you've just saved having to go through a few more weeks of stress and worry about it being ok.

Congratulations to all the new BFP's out there. I'm away for a few days mini break with DH. Booked before I knew we were pregnant, and to a massive drinking capital. Beer is cheaper than water. Great Envy

bluemoon2468 · 04/02/2020 08:44

Having had a bad cold since Saturday, today I woke up with a slightly high temperature 😔 I took 2 paracetamol and it's come right down, but have an urgent drs appt this morning to see what they suggest. I know there's a link between fever and miscarriage/birth defects, so I can't help but feel terrified, even though my temp was only 38.1 and I seem to have caught it quickly 😕

TunnocksTcake · 04/02/2020 10:01

Hi Ladies, thought I would tentatively join you. I am 5w6d now with #1. Had 1 MMC in July and 1 Chemical on Christmas day, and got pg immediately following that so absolutely bricking it. According to LMp I'm due 30th Sept but I'm sure I ovulated on CD 16/17 so I think it will be early Oct.
Having lots of symptoms, they come and go which is scary but trying to have a PMA. Anyone else getting back ache? Its not very painful and it does come and go but its there quite a lot. Maybe its my posture!
Having an early scan at 7w3d on 15th Feb, feels good to have something to aim for.

LeeCee · 04/02/2020 12:20

@MrsB1821 I'm more queasy than hungry but definitely bloated! So glad to be working from home in my PJs today. Could NOT get comfy yesterday in my jeans

@Spark27 I know crazy to think I could have just skipped a month of worrying and waiting. It seems so unreal. Hopefully i get an early dating scan so I get a better idea of whats going on

esmerelda1988 · 04/02/2020 12:46

@Changedname81 I have uterus didelphys too! Having first scan tomorrow to see which womb it's in, only 5+2 though. Be lovely to keep in touch throughout x

Togetherismyfavouriteplace · 04/02/2020 20:12

Evening everyone! Hope you are all doing OK.
I’m almost 5 weeks now. Saw my GP on Friday and estimated due date is 8th Oct.

I’m struggling with the worrying though. Trying to tell myself to relax as worrying isn’t good for me or baby but have honestly been in such a bubble since getting my BFP that I’m terrified of something going wrong!

Still not many symptoms, very very sore boobs, tiredness and waves of sickness now.

100% booking an early scan. Is that done through the midwife / GP? X

I am 4 and a half weeks and I know what you mean about it being hard not to worry.

I was under the impression NHS only did early scans if you had previous problems/miscarriage not just generally for everyone that asks.

Viletta · 04/02/2020 20:47

I booked my early scan privately through babybond, it's £70

bluemoon2468 · 04/02/2020 20:56

@Togetherismyfavouriteplace mine is booked privately with Window to the Womb - cost £69

MotherAughra · 04/02/2020 21:41

@Togetherismyfavouriteplace mines with the EPU because of previous issues, I called them direct and they confirmed I was eligible and booked me in. I think if I didn't have any history I would have needed to go privately

blankiesandunicorns · 05/02/2020 15:28

How is everyone doing?
I managed to get a few nights of good unbroken sleep, but waking frequently again now. Also the sickness hit this morning which is reassuring but makes work tough!

Anyone else?

LeeCee · 05/02/2020 15:33

I'm the same @blankiesandunicorns very nauseous and waking very early tossing and turning.

I hate this bit at the start when you feel like 💩 but you can't tell work! So you just have to get on with things 🤢
