So today I found out I’m pregnant with #1 ! & I honestly haven’t stopped crying with happiness all morning. Although I know it’s early days, I just wanted to see if there were any other early Oct babies due so that we can share the journey! I’m over the moon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@Spark27 ahh thank you!! Do they text HCG levels as part of the blood work or is that not routine?

@marshmellow7 I had no idea that's how it worked!! I knew Drs calculated it from the LMP but didn't think about how the Clear Blue dates it! I had my implant out at the beginning of December and still haven't had a period! I did have some very light spotting mid Jan, so was excepting my period but I guess now that could be implantation?

emstone · 15/02/2020 14:38

@marshmellow7 you're so right! Just had a look on the clear blue website, never occurred to me how the dating worked! I feel like a numpty now hah, thank you letting me know! Xx

Spark27 · 15/02/2020 14:44

@emstone, I have no idea I'm afraid. I don't remember being told that last time round, or seeing it on my notes. I don't remember it being mentioned at my booking in appt this time.

I would say I'll let you know when I find out, but provided I have no dramas I wont get the blood results for another 8 weeks until my 16w appt. If there is a problem with anything they call you before, but if not they just write the results in your green notes at the 16w appt.

emstone · 15/02/2020 14:58

@Spark27 thank you! Well fingers crossed there are no dramas for you! I feel more reassured now I can book a private scan sonner than originally planned!

Quiffy · 15/02/2020 15:13

@BntTowers lovely to see you over in this group!! ❤️❤️❤️

I’ve been sick 6 times already today. TMI I’m not hurling everything up so don’t think I’m too dehydrated or anything. I’m hoping it’s not going to be like this every day. 😅😅

MrsD1990 · 15/02/2020 19:08

Hi everyone I've been reading this thread since I found out I was pregnant last month but I don't think I've posted so thought I'd say hello. I'm due 7th October - 6 weeks and 3 days. Got a scan on Friday. Been finding this thread very reassuring - look forward to go through this journey together

rhirhibumblebee · 15/02/2020 19:44

Hi everyone! Think I'll join you over here if that's ok. Got my BFPs this last week so I'd be due in October. Really nervous after a miscarriage end of November. I'm relieved every time I go to the loo 🙈. Look forward to chatting to you all xx

BntTowers · 15/02/2020 21:22

@Quiffy oh no, it sounds like you've got it bad. Have you been to the doctor about it? Plenty of fluids will help. Try to rest.

I've had quite bad food adversions today. I don't drink tea or coffee, but DH does, his tea today nearly made me throw up. Everything smells so intense at the moment.

bluemoon2468 · 15/02/2020 21:37

@MrsD1990 welcome! I'm also 6+3 due 7th 😊

BooMamaBear · 16/02/2020 07:58

Congrats for the New BFPs I'm not really bloated but I have bad water retention so I'm struggling to hide the fact that I'm pregnant coz I'm normally slim I'm only 5/6 weeks!! Although I mainly look fat coz it's soft!! Xx

MrsD1990 · 16/02/2020 08:39

How lovely we have the same dates @bluemoon2468!!

BooMamaBear · 16/02/2020 09:09

So relieved my test this morning said 3+ weeks doc said if bleeding means baby has gone then HCG might still register but weeks would be same or less it said 2-3 weeks last week so everything ok so far got midwife appt tomorrow xx

marauder1994 · 16/02/2020 09:27

Its hard to relax with this pregnancy after a MMC. Don't feel as nauseas today, and now I'm panicking it means my HCG is dropping :(

Togetherismyfavouriteplace · 16/02/2020 10:11

Morning all, I’m still struggling very badly with nausea and have threw up 3 times in the last 2 days.

I have a close friend that’s a midwife and she’s recommended a few things which are arriving today - hard boiled sweets (ginger flavour), pregnancy multivitamin (I was only taking folic acid and vitamin D before but she recommends something that contains everything including B6 and ginger - not necessarily pregnacare as you pay for the name! I found one on Amazon for £3.50) and some sickness relief wristbands.

No idea if any of this will work but I’m feeling so ill that I’ll try anything! Just thought I’d let you all know and will let you know how I get on! X

Urgh I feel sick now didn't earlier this morning - symptoms come and go try not to worry too much -are your boobs tender? Xx

Treacle81 · 16/02/2020 11:02

Hey guys, yea had an awful day yesterday for the first time of nausea all day! Thought it would be some today but not as bad, I am eating a ginger nut any time I feel it start. The pain in my breasts is still unreal, started wearing sports bra x

Quiffy · 16/02/2020 11:04

@togetherismyfavouriteplace I’m very much with you on the nausea. It feels like torture, but then very happy I’m pregnant. B6 I’ve ordered to arrive today I’ve seen you should take 25mg a few times a day. I’ve already the sick bands, multi vit and sweets. I can’t stand ginger, although might get a tablet. I only just managed to get from the car to toilet this morning 🤮

@BntTowers I think I might have to visit soon if it doesn’t improve. I was worried they’d tell me me to man up 😹 oh the smells are awful, why can we smell so much???

rhirhibumblebee · 16/02/2020 11:37

Ahhh I haven't felt sick yet but I'm crazy hungry all day and I'm having crazy vivid dreams every night!!! Last night I was dreaming I had my newborn baby in my arms (it wasn't my sons ) and the baby wouldn't latch 🙈. Must be what's on my mind. Anyone else having crazy dreams ??

Spark27 · 16/02/2020 12:08

The nausea is horrid. I've not been sick at all, but feel sick from about 0900 onwards. I find if I'm eating (and find something I want to eat) I feel ok, but halfway through the nausea will hit again. And I'm finding standing up for too long is difficult. Like my body doesn't like being stretched out. By the time I've finished washing up I'm begging to collapse on the sofa until I feel ok again.

Feel really knackered but not overly tired, and still waking early. Having some really weird, vivid dreams as well. Have been since I found out around 4 weeks ago. Oh, and (sorry for tmi) the discharge is unreal. So much. Constantly checking it's not blood. Going to have to wear pantyliners I think

BooMamaBear · 16/02/2020 12:37

My sickness last twice was horrid I was sick and felt sick all day this time I only feel sick between 10-12 atm! Xx

Lucylou37 · 16/02/2020 12:39

@rhirhibumblebee omg yes! Nothing about babies, just bloody weird, vivid dreams!

Treaclepie19 · 16/02/2020 16:19

@Spark27 I'm the same. So nauseous all the time but not being sick. Feel better for a bit while I'm eating and so, so tired. 7 weeks today!

Cdnmama · 16/02/2020 18:52

Hi all,
Chiming in as I'm due beginning of October. It's a bit reassuring hearing all of your experiences during the first few weeks. I've been hit particularly bad by nausea (from the week after conception!) to the point that Ive been signed off work for the last two weeks (and on my second medication to help me to eat/drink). I feel like I'm going a bit mad feeling so miserable so early in pregnancy, but I have to keep on reminding myself it'll get easier with time!

rhirhibumblebee · 16/02/2020 20:32

@Lucylou37 so strange ! Wonder what we will get tonight 😂😂😂. I'm mad hungry so chocolate isn't going to help my case tonight 🙈

Lucylou37 · 16/02/2020 21:03

@rhirhibumblebee haha me too! In bed already but wanting to go and make a hot bagel with butter! I have weird dreams and always hungry but no sickness 😂, which I weirdly want!!
