So today I found out I’m pregnant with #1 ! & I honestly haven’t stopped crying with happiness all morning. Although I know it’s early days, I just wanted to see if there were any other early Oct babies due so that we can share the journey! I’m over the moon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@Quiffy glad to hear your husband demanded you put your feet up, are you feeling any better today?

@MrsC105 Hope all is ok, have you heard back from the midwife yet? I had very light pink spotting on Monday and from everything I read, it’s quite normal unless it becomes heavy, bright red and/or is accompanied by severe cramping and pain so try not to worry too much. Easier said than done though, I was on edge for days!

I’ve suddenly been hit by SUCH tiredness, I’m pretty sure I could fall asleep at my desk right now and sleep through until 5 at least 😴

MrsC105 · 13/02/2020 15:22

@SkyBlue20 no not yet, still waiting.
I've got no pain or anything so fingers crossed all is ok

bananamuffin99 · 13/02/2020 16:29

I am due 24th October, according to NHS website. This is my 2nd pregnancy, my first I miscarried in Dec the day before my 16 week midwife appointment Sad I wanted to get pregnant again, but didn't think it would be so soon, I am hoping this one lasts. I am 37.

I was told by the consultant that I would receive extra care, the histology report showed there were extra chromosomes 13, 15, 16, 18, 21, 22 and extra sex chromosome X. I don't suppose anyone has had the same, she did say she hadn't seen it very often at all.

After what happened last time, I am trying my best not to get too excited until my first scan, but it's really hard not too!

Treaclepie19 · 13/02/2020 16:33

@bananamuffin99 I'm so sorry to hear that. I haven't had the same but we had a TFMR at 22+4 as our little boy had deletions of chromosome 2. We will be having extra tests and scans as well.

Zaalfruit · 13/02/2020 16:58

@quiffy thank you . I smelt the ginger tea and it made my stomach turn. Do you have any cravings?

Aww did your lunch stick - I want to be sick
I feel like it will some relief.

When is everyone’s midwife appointment mines on the 29th Feb which would
Make me (7 +3 )or (8+3)weeks and then my scans on the third. I book my private scan for the 22nd is that too late And I should just wait for the third ? So Confused .

Also why do they count it as7+3 or 8+ 3?

purplecandyfloss · 13/02/2020 17:30

Until a dating scan, it's goes off the first day of your last period so 7 weeks and 3 days / 8 weeks and 3 days. Going from LMP (6 Jan) I'm with the midwife on 24 Feb which will make me about 7 weeks I think. Seems a bit early to be honest. Might book an early scan for the same day, got a groupon deal for £31.

MrsC105 · 13/02/2020 17:42

Spoke to midwife, she said I've just got to wait for 48 hours and see what happens. If it gets worse or goes on for more than 48 hours I've got to phone them again x

Quiffy · 13/02/2020 19:24

@skyblue20 unfortunately not, feeling nauseated from the moment I wake up and bed at the moment. Been sick 3 times today, hopefully dinner sticks! Hoping you’re getting some rest tonight

@Zaalfruit lost my lunch too. Glad I’m not the only one that the tea makes feel sick! I’m really craving meat atm esp chicken. Totally off choc and tea, which I usually adore. Wbu?

BooMamaBear · 13/02/2020 20:17

My LMP was 3rd Jan but ovulation was 2 weeks and 6 days after this! See the midwife Monday and she should put in my referral for dating scan so they can find out when I'll be 11 weeks then I go for CVS then! Xx

Zaalfruit · 13/02/2020 22:19

@purplecandyfloss thank you xxx just read your explanation

@Quiffy omg my work gave us all a box of Lindors each . Everyone eating the chocolate was making me feel sick - porridge the smell of it makes me gag no idea why !! Aww I found that I’m craving chips and mash. The things I like even taste a bit off so then I don’t want it . I hope it gets better for you - drink lots of water and maybe some juice to not make you sick up.

Quiffy · 14/02/2020 07:46

@Zaalfruit ahhhh that's so nice of them but BOAK. Definitely feel you on things tasting off, I cooked salmon the other day and I was sure it was off. Salmon is usually my fav. I remember my friend went really off porridge as well - it's totally bizarre isnt it?

How's everyone feeling this morning?

SkyBlue20 · 14/02/2020 08:38

Morning all! How’re we doing?

@MrsC105 Any more bleeding? Hope you’re ok!

@bluemoon2468 How are you doing?

@Quiffy still suffering with the sickness?

I really struggled to get out of bed this morning when recently I’ve been waking up early and leaping out (which is very unlike me!) and I’ve just coughed and felt the biggest wave of nausea afterwards...I hope it doesn’t get any worse 😬
I’m six weeks today and this time next week I’ll have had my MW appt and will be having my early scan this evening 🥳 Finally feels like I’m getting closer to actually knowing things are ok and it’s all really happening!

MrsC105 · 14/02/2020 08:43

@SkyBlue20 Morning, had a tiny bit this morning when I wiped and that's all i've had since about 3.30 yesterday afternoon... don't really know what to think at the moment and the midwives weren't much help. I've got an early scan booked for next Saturday, wish i'd have booked it for this Saturday now!

SkyBlue20 · 14/02/2020 08:45

Should make that clearer - the early scan is next Friday evening, not this evening!

SkyBlue20 · 14/02/2020 08:47

@MrsC105 It’s so worrying, isn’t it?! I’m absolutely no expert but from the extensive reading I did when it happened to me on Monday, very light pink spotting is considered normal, it’s just if it gets heavier or is accompanied by pain that the medical pros seem to worry. Someone said it can just be the little one burrowing in a little deeper which is quite a nice way to think of it. Sending you lots of positing thoughts and hugs.

SkyBlue20 · 14/02/2020 08:47

*positive thoughts and hugs.

Why can’t I type today?! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Quiffy · 14/02/2020 09:03

@MrsC105 I agree with @skyblue20, everything I've read says it's really normal - that doesnt make it any less worrying though

Chh0412 · 14/02/2020 09:58

Hi Ladies.
Happy Valentines Day.

Had my scan this morning and night sure what to think.

Defiantly a sac.
But couldn’t see baby and possibly a yolk?!?
She said I might be about 4 weeks but not sure and need to come back in just over 2 weeks to see if a baby develops.

I feel a bit numb and all my excitement has gone. x x x

Bean20 · 14/02/2020 10:55

Hi Ladies,
Super excited to join this after feeling like 2 days of keeping a secret is already too long! 😂
Myself and my boyfriend found out on Wednesday after wondering for 2 weeks whether I should've had my period by now! We think I am about 6 weeks. I looked online and it said to get booked in with a GP straight away. Been this morning and it was a bit embarrassing as I have been told I don't need to go yet and been booked in to see a midwife in 3 weeks. They said I have to have my booking appointment between 8-10 weeks.
Hope you are all well and enjoying early pregnancy! Xx

marauder1994 · 14/02/2020 11:04

Spark27 · 14/02/2020 12:53

Congratulations to all the new BFPs. Haha, don't be embarrassed @Bean20, where I am they got me in to see the nurse at 4w. All she did was take my details, weight and BP, and told me all the standard dos and donts that you can find on the internet. Then by 7w I'd had my booking in appt. I think timelines all depend on when you are. A booking in between 8- 10w is pretty standard.

Getting seen early seems good, but then it's a loooong wait till the 12w scan

BooMamaBear · 14/02/2020 14:18

Congratulations to the new BFP's
@Quiffy and @Zaalfruit -I started of eating porridge with fruit but you 6 weeks I could stomach it I couldn't stomach milk at all either and had black (decaf) yes til half way through the second trimester when I managed to have skimmed milk only! I can drink semi-skimmed whe I'm not pregnant! I though it would wear off by the second trimester so had a white decaf coffee and after one sip I felt so sick i couldn't drink it! Also the smell of bacon, which j love, really turned my stomach in my 2nd pregnancy! Xx

bluemoon2468 · 14/02/2020 15:30

@SkyBlue20 I'm having a really tough time at the moment. Nausea and sickness is almost constant, combined with severe stomach pains every few hours lasting about 15 minutes each time, but they're so bad I'm doubled over in pain. It's a bit easier to handle now I know why, but I still feel a bit scared for the baby (even though I've been told and read that it shouldn't affect the baby at all). I'm just absolutely hating pregnancy at the moment to be honest... it's hard to even feel excited. On the plus side, my husband is coming home from his work trip this afternoon and it'll be the first time I've seen him since the whole A+E saga began, so I can't wait for a big hug 😭

SkyBlue20 · 14/02/2020 15:40

Oh you poor thing, @bluemoon2468 😔 Bet it’ll be lovely to have your husband back though for hugs and a bit of being looked after! Are you having to work or are you off? Sending so many well wishes, I keep thinking of you, hope it becomes bearable soon at the very least xx

Quiffy · 14/02/2020 16:10

@bluemoon2468 You poor thing :( glad your DH is home today so you can have a cuddle

@BooMamaBear It's crazy how much it changes our likes and dislikes doesnt it
